But with all these benefits, why do so many teams still hesitate to make the leap? This session makes ARM migration practical: we’ll clarify the architecture, identify easy-to-migrate workloads, and share proven steps for evaluation and transition. Learn why real-world testing matters, discover essential tools, and build multi-arch containers without increasing CI time. Whether you’re starting a new project or updating legacy apps, get actionable insights for a smooth, successful migration. **Nati** is a Solutions Architect with AWS. He delights in helping customers simplify complex systems, teaching them about the inner workings of cloud services and debugging annoying technical oddities. When he is not at his computer he is soldering electronic kits, tinkering with smaller computers and drumming on a Taiko. **Building a Greener Digital Landscape: Core Principles of Sustainable IT** by Nourolhoda Alemi This talk delves into the foundational concepts of Green IT alongside ING’s best practices, offering a comprehensive perspective on how technology can drive both innovation and sustainability. Join me to explore: • The challenges of assessing sustainability in IT systems • Strategic approaches to reduce digital environmental footprints • Principles of sustainable software design and development • Best practices of sustainable IT within ING organization Whether you're an IT leader, developer, or tech enthusiast, this talk will provide you with practical insights to align your digital strategies with sustainability goals. Let’s think green—and build a cleaner digital world. **Nourolhoda** is an Engineering Manager within the Cash & Payments domain at ING. With 13 years of solid experience in Backend Engineering and an academic background in Artificial Intelligence, she is passionate about integrating Green IT best practices into infrastructure, codebases, and architectural design. Beyond her professional expertise, she is a watercolor artist as well. **Privacy notice(s):** * When you sign up to this event you agree that photos and/or videos can be made and published, with your face potentially visible. * For security purposes you need to share your full name, e-mail address and company you work for which we will share with AWS. * Please bring a valid ID with you to gain entrance to the meetup. * If you have any issue with this, please let us know and we’ll work something out.

PHPAmersfoort January 2026: How to make good decisions with a happy team
We are back in the new year, with a new meetup at a location where we haven't been in quite some time! The friendly people at MIG are opening their office for us and are sponsoring pizza! And **Stefan Koopmanschap** will show us how you can make better decisions as a team. 19:00 - Doors open & **pizza**! 19:30 - **How to make good decisions with a happy team** \- Stefan Koopmanschap 20:30 - Social **How to make good decisions with a happy team** We've all been there: After a lot of discussion the team can still not agree on a given solution. A majority vote makes the decision, but that leaves team members unhappy and unsatisfied. What if I told you there is a way to make sure every team member is heard and will support the eventual team decision? In this talk, I will introduce the concept of sociocracy, a method for discussion and decision-making.

Speltestavond #73
Speltestavond #73
🇬🇧 **For English-speaking guests:** Before a board game or card game can be published, it must undergo extensive testing to ensure that it is enjoyable, clear, and always functions properly. Therefore, **every 2 weeks**, we gather with game authors from the region to test prototypes of games, thereby improving them and, perhaps, getting them published someday. At 8 PM, we gather at [StartUp Nijmegen](https://startupnijmegen.nl/) for a game testing evening. Depending on the number of attendees and prototypes brought (feel free to bring something yourself), we form several groups. For smaller games, you can switch groups throughout the evening, but for larger games, you should discuss this. **Even if you** **do not design games** or have a game you want to test, you are, of course, very welcome. It is very beneficial for designers to receive feedback from as many people as possible. And to be honest: testing new games is just a lot of fun! We continue until about 11 PM, but feel free to go home earlier if you wish. There is **free coffee** **and tea** at StartUp Nijmegen. A small contribution is requested for soft drinks, beer, or wine. StartUp Nijmegen is located opposite the station. You can park your car in the adjacent Keizer Karel parking garage (50 cents per hour). There is also a secure bicycle parking facility here. The testing evenings in Nijmegen are every **2nd Tuesday** and **4th Wednesday** of the month. So be sure to mark those in your calendar (tip: automatically add them to your calendar with [this iCal link](https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/c_d2267afce516f9296468270649b3f44da6c06cbc0bc3de05f049992373db5f4f@group.calendar.google.com/public/basic.ics))! The Spellenmaakgilde Nijmegen is part of the [Dutch Game Designers Guild](https://spellenmaakgilde.nl/) and is also a part of SAZ. You can also find us in the #Nijmegen channel on the [Discord server of the Game Designers Guild](https://discord.gg/6JzD6Sz2m5). And don't worry if you don't speak Dutch! We regularly have non-Dutch speaking guests, and everyone is welcome to join and have fun with us.

At Systemic Ritual, it can happen that people are asked to represent 'healers' or to represent power animals with certain qualities or distant ancestors (for example, ancestors from the fifth or even later generation). It is also possible to work with the qualities of the four directions or the different souls or bodies – concepts from shamanism. AI Essentials for professionals
AI Essentials for professionals

❄️🔥 20 km Winter Forest Hike: Wodan’s Trail & Castle Doorwerth 🏰🌲
❄️🔥 20 km Winter Forest Hike: Wodan’s Trail & Castle Doorwerth 🏰🌲
From the first steps, we enter what is truly my favourite forest in the Netherlands, located on the southern edge of the Veluwe. Unlike most Dutch landscapes, this area has real steep hills, rolling terrain, and a distinctly un-Dutch feeling, even though you are right in the heart of the country. In winter, quiet paths and pale light filtering through tall woodland along the Italian Road make the scenery especially striking. Halfway through the hike, we slow down for a cosy break at Castle Doorwerth. It is the perfect place to warm up with bites and drinks, enjoy the historic surroundings, and take a relaxed pause before continuing our walk. The route also passes the iconic Wodan Oaks. These ancient trees, estimated to be 400 to 600 years old, add a quiet sense of history and continuity to the landscape, which feels particularly powerful in winter when the forest is still, open, and calm. **📍When and where to meet?** We’ll meet at 10:50 at Wolfheze train station. https://maps.app.goo.gl/73ZsY4tHrmhBjF8HA ⏰ We **start walking a few minutes after meeting up** — we don’t wait for latecomers, as the forest calls and daylight is short this time of year. **🚗 Coming by car?** There is plenty and free parking next to the station. https://maps.app.goo.gl/6yR1resGumn1j4jq5 **⏸️ Planned Breaks** After 12 km: Lunch break at Castle Doorwerth https://maps.app.goo.gl/qLe6DfxL8C6mKrmZA **💸 Payment** Please pay as soon as you sign up: To keep things fair for everyone, if we don’t receive your payment within 48 hours, we will need to remove you from the participant list. If there’s a waiting list, this will happen sooner (in less than 48 hours). If that happens, no worries — you’re always welcome to sign up again if there’s space. 🌟 Early Bird Deal! Join now for just €4 — available for 3 days (72h). After that, the price will be €5. The Tikkie link has been removed as the event is now fully booked. If a spot becomes available due to a cancellation and you would like to take it, you can message me directly and I will share the Tikkie link with you. **👟 Good to know** * Refund policy: Cancellations are fully refundable up to 1 week before the event (This is Friday 9 January at 23h59). After this period, the fee becomes non-refundable. * Hike difficulty: Our hikes are moderately challenging. Please only join if you’re confident you can keep up with the group’s pace (5 km/ h)— it’s more fun for everyone when we can walk together without long waits. * If the pace is too challenging: We may kindly suggest you continue at your own pace. We’ll give you clear directions to the nearest bus or train so you can return comfortably. * At your own risk: You participate at your own risk, so please make sure you have appropriate insurance coverage for outdoor activities. * Payment note: With Tikkie we only see initials (e.g., J. Doe instead of John Doe). Please include your Meetup name in the payment note so we can match it easily. * Friends joining: If you bring a friend, make sure they also register and pay. * What to bring: Snacks, lunch, and water/ or hot thee/ coffee (depending on the hike distance). * Stay connected: Join our WhatsApp group to be the first to hear about future hikes — ask for the QR code during the hike. * T-shirts: Fairwear-certified organic cotton, eco-friendly inks — €25. Sustainable, odor-resistant, and perfect for hiking. Let us know your size and we’ll bring one for you.

Queer Craftivists Club Meeting
Queer Craftivists Club Meeting
**Calling all queer crochet enthusiasts;** I am a visual artist located in Columbus that is searching for people who may want to gather while also participating in creating a piece of artwork. My goal is to spend time enjoying one another’s company while making a work of art that will be displayed within our community. I plan to teach people to crochet (if unfamiliar) while also inviting current fiber artists to join us for some much-needed social interaction. There are no expectations from those who attend, materials will be included, and any amount of participation is welcome! If you have a favorite crochet hook or current project you are welcome to bring that along too! The primary goal is to foster a safe space for our community to chat, create and be. For further information please email [landerknits@outlook.com.](http://landerknits@outlook.com.) \*This will be our 2nd meeting, bring friends and make new ones. Come as you are and make along side other like-minded folks.
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Doing KPIs Right
Data & Analytics Wednesday - Doing KPIs Right
**Doing KPIs Right: a KEY to Analytics (and AI!) Impact!** On the one hand, KPIs are such a Business 101 concept that it may seem a little silly to dedicate an entire session to the topic. On the other hand, KPIs get handled so poorly so often that a case could be made that this meetup could just be one of the most impactful sessions of the entire year! We’re starting off the year at a new location: [COhatch Upper Arlington](https://www.cohatch.com/locations/columbus/upper-arlington/) but with a familiar speaker, Tim Wilson! We’ll be back at Rev1 in February, when the speaker will presumably not be Tim. Tim will make the case that effectively measuring performance of projects, campaigns, and initiatives (and even meetups!) should be a foundation for any data analytics program. Topics covered will include: the “two magic questions” of performance measurement, how to help business partners distinguish between outcomes and outputs, and effective tactics for collaboratively establishing KPI targets. He will also stick his neck out by demonstrating some of these techniques in real-time by measuring whether his talk lives up to the promise of this description! All CBUSDAW events are free thanks to our 2026 Sponsors: Clarivoy, Conductrics, What Box Consulting Group, and Piwik PRO. Check out [cbusdaw.com](https://cbusdaw.com) for more information.
