BEGINNING Tai Chi Starts May 3 and Thursday May 5
For the first half hour of class, beginners will learn 5 organ & spirit enlivening qigong exercises.
After a brief meditative walk, beginners will learn the first of six section of Lao (old) Yang tai chi chuan as taught by Teacher Lu Hung Bin.
Remember to wear comfortable loose-fitting clothing & flat comfortable shoes.

Our table is for enjoy Japanese conversation or Japanese culture. Enjoy speak in Japanese or even enjoy chatting about Japanese culture in your native tongue.
We join to World Language Cafe. There will be people outside of our group who want to speak in Japanese.
Trivia at Lost Dog Cafe
**Description:** Join us for trivia at Lost Dog Cafe in McLean, Virginia located at 1690 Anderson Rd every Tuesday evening in October. Trivia begins at 7pm, but please consider joining earlier, around 6:30, since seating’s first-come-first-served. Speaking of seating, per Lost Dog’s regulations, a team needs to have at least five members in order to participate in trivia. So please make sure you RSVP so we can secure a spot to play in trivia. The nearest metro is McLean.

Zen & Zest: Japanese Art & Tea Classes Kick-Off Event! 🍵🖌️
Hello!
If you are looking for a creative way to kick off 2026, I’m excited to invite you to our special launch event: **Zen & Zest: Japanese Art & Tea Kick-off event**. It’s a great way to meet local neighbors and learn something beautiful.
**When:** Sunday, January 4th, 2026
**Where:** Nova Labs, 3850 Jermantown Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030

**Details:** An introductory event on Japanese calligraphy and the traditional tea (Macha). Please note that this specific event is **not** a hands-on workshop. It is a kick-off event where we will introduce our upcoming classes and the instructor. The instructor will prepare a cup of Matcha for each attendee. Enjoy a relaxing Sunday morning with a cup of Matcha while getting to know the community.

Hyattsville Tai Chi Meet Up
In the first 30 minutes of class, Qi Gong(5 organ and spirit enlivening)exercises are taught. In the last hour, the class is divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced groups and are taught Lao (old) Yang Tai Chi Chuan.

Come exchange Asian Languages that you speak!
***GRAB A DRINK AND YOU WILL BE ALL SET TO FLEX YOUR LANGUAGE CAPACITY. YOU NEED TO GET AT LEAST A DRINK OR FOOD :) To get the event going and show support. We know that you like our events. P.S. : We have non-alcoholic drinks as well.***
We have a tiny venue and we hit capacity often and early arrival is suggested.
We have the discretion to decide entry.
We will assign tables for represented languages. All languages are welcome! However we don't guarantee the availability of a partner in that particular language, you would like to exchange.
As you all remember well, this event used to bring out hundreds of people every week. However, it was discontinued last year for obvious reasons and we couldn't gather that many people now, because of restrictions. Hence, we are downsizing and caping the number of attendees. We have super limited spots and advance ticket purchase is required.
***AFTER THE HAPPY HOUR, WE HIT THE DANCE FLOOR! BRING YOUR DANCING SHOES, WE WILL DANCE THE NIGHT AWAY!***
HOW IT WORKS : We will try to assign tables for each represented languages and will direct attendees to their respective tables accordingly. All languages are welcome! However we don't guarantee the availability of a partner in that particular language, you would like to exchange.
Rules to abide :
1. Event is free and 21+ (bring ID).
2. Be respectful to your counterparts and give them a chance to exchange with others as well.
3. We all are native speakers of one or two languages and be willing to help others and try to accommodate as much as possible.
4. If you don't speak the other person's required language, LEAVE THEM ALONE.
5. Rude or aggressive members are removed from the group at an organizers discretion.
6. This is a face-to-face language exchange event. DO NOT try to arrange an online meeting, by using the comment box or direct message.
7. Most of our members complained about people writing in the comment box. Since it sends notification to all attendees. If you have any questions, send a message to the organizers. Don't write in the comment box.
8. We have ZERO TOLERANCE for solicitation. We don't allow anyone to run their own agenda at the Event. If you are interested to promote/sponsor/collaborate; contact us via (info@merevents.com).
9. When you get there, we will greet you and take you to your respective group.
10. Don't be shy of your local languages. We have diplomates assigned to different countries, who would love to practice your languages.

Come and join our lively Japanese language meetup, where Japanese language learners and native speakers come together to learn, play, and connect.
