Die **offene** **Singrunde** ist fĂŒr alle, die sich (endlich) trauen wollen, in einer wertschĂ€tzenden Gruppe zu singen, Hobby- und Profi-SĂ€nger\*innen, die ein **energievolles, einfaches MITEINANDER SINGEN erleben** wollen. Die **Freude am gemeinsamen Klang** und die **wohltuende Wirkung des Singens** stehen im Vordergrund. âșïžđđ€©
Nach ein paar Körper und Stimme entspannenden und aktivierenden Ăbungen singen wir leicht zu lernende Lieder aus aller Welt, ein- und mehrstimmig. **Alle Stimmen sind herzlich willkommen, egal ob routiniert, ungeĂŒbt oder mutig fĂŒr einen Erstversuch.** **Vorkenntnisse sind nicht erforderlich.** Die Liedertexte sind vorbereitet. Mit Gitarrebegleitung und einfacher Liedvermittlung unterstĂŒtze ich das gemeinsame Singen.
Mit dabei sind auch Cabasa, Klangfrösche, Chickenegg, Shaker, Schellenring, Triangel, Caxixi ("Kaschischi"), Claves, Trommeln ... die zum intuitiven Improvisieren, mit Mut und Freude am einfach Ausprobieren genutzt werden können.

Pre-doctoral neuroscientist, certified NeuroMindfulnessÂź Coach, yoga teacher (at Manas Yoga Studio), breathwork instructor, and mindfulness facilitator. AdriĂĄn bridges scientific knowledge with mindfulness practices to support awareness, balance and connection. Riccardo Trapannone
Post-doctoral researcher in cellular neurobiology, and a certified sustainability and communication expert with strong interest in mindful communication and collaboration. Riccardo combines scientific insight with mindfulness and non-violent communication to design effective and mindful communication strategies, building bridges between people, communities, disciplines, and the environment. Short bike tour â Donauinsel meets Donaukanal
We meet at the Copabeach bike rental on Donauinsel and roll along leisurely for the first few minutes. The route initially leads upstream along the wide, paved path on Donauinsel. We ride comfortably side by side, watching out for joggers and other cyclists and maintaining a steady pace.
After a few kilometers, we reach the NuĂdorf area. There we cross to the Steinitzsteg bridge and switch to the beginning of the Donaukanal.
From here, we slow down a little. We cycle through several districts of Vienna along the Donaukanal. Some sections are urban, with bridges, street art, and restaurants on the banks. In between are quieter passages with lots of greenery. We decide spontaneously which side of the river to cycle on, depending on traffic, construction sites, and our mood. We ride behind each other along the canal, keeping a safe distance and communicating obstacles with hand signals. The surface is mostly asphalt. There may be very short sections of gravel or fine gravel, which we take at a moderate speed.
At the end of the Donaukanal near Freudenau, we cross back over to the Donauinsel and take the return route upstream back to the starting point.
**Distance:** approx. 30 km
**Speed:** 18-20 km/h on average. Slightly slower on the Donauknal due to more traffic
**Surface:** mainly asphalt, some gravel on the Donaukanal
**Elevation:** virtually none, wind can play a role (especially on the Donauinsel)
**Estimated time:** 1 3/4 hours

**Plan**
**1.** Start at Copabeach: bike check (brakes, air pressure, lights), brief safety briefing on hand signals and formation. Please be punctual. We will wait for a maximum of 5-10 minutes.
**2.** Donauinsel upstream: wide, smooth path, we find our rhythm and maintain a steady pace.
**3.** Steinitzsteg/NuĂdorf: transition to the Donaukanal, short orientation break if necessary.
**4.** Donauinsel downstream in single file, defensively, extra caution in narrow sections. We choose the side of the river depending on the situation.
**5.** Freudenau: end of the Donaukanal meeting point, short break, refill water, snack.
**6.** Return via the Donauinsel: upstream back to Copabeach. Depending on the wind and energy levels, we can paddle faster here.
**Break and possible stops**
\- We plan at least one break along the way \(e\.g\.\, in the Urania/SchwedenbrĂŒcke area\, Spittelau\, or at Praterspitz\)\. We choose the location spontaneously depending on traffic\, weather\, and group dynamics\.
\- Near the Freudenau power station\, there are opportunities to take a short break before we return to the Donauinsel\.
**Safety and riding style**
\- Ride strictly in single file along the Donaukanal\, use your bell sparingly\, and be considerate of other road users\.
\- Use hand signals to indicate changes of direction\, obstacles\, and braking\. Look over your shoulder before changing lanes\.
\- We adjust our speed to the conditions \(crowds\, surface\, visibility\)\.
**Equipment tips**
\- Water bottle and a small snack\. Refills are possible along the canal in some places\.
\- Helmet recommended\, lights and bell helpful in the city\.
\- Don't set the tire pressure too high\, so that short gravel sections remain comfortable\.
\- Dress appropriately for the weather\.
\- If there is heavy traffic along the canal\, we can choose the quieter side of the bank or use short detours\.
The result is a varied, mostly flat city and riverside tour with plenty of water views, which is sporty but relaxed.

It is open to everyone, with no prior knowledge or experience required.
Just as air is freely available to all of us, this meditation is freely available too.
PCE - Philosophic Conversation in English
PCE - "Philosophic Conversation in English" is a discussion event in English language which focuses on psychology, philosophy, self-consciousness and self-realization. The conversation is based on inclusive discussion rules. We will meet at at a restaurant where we will have a private room exclusively reserved for our event.
At the beginning we will choose the topic to discuss. Everybody can suggest a topic. Then we will vote what to discuss. The person who suggested the winning topic will then explain his idea of the topic.
Afterwards everybody gets his/her chance to make a statement. But you can also decide to remain silent and only listen, if you prefer that. We have a time limit for statements, so that everybody has enough time to speak. It is not allowed to interrupt somebody who is speaking. After a statement everybody can ask a question and the speaker will answer.
After the first part there will be a 10 minutes break before we start the second part.
Everybody is welcome to our event: We are interested in your thoughts and opinions! It is no problem if you arrive late and you can also leave whenever you want.

Hey Badminton Enthusiasts!
This meet-up is for all levels: beginners, intermediates and experts. Everyone is welcome to join, test their skills and have some fun together!
The host will reserve courts in advance, that means please only register if you really plan to come (or cancel at least 24 hours before the event starts). The fee for this event is 12⏠(for the 2 hours). If you plan on paying in cash, please bring the exact amount as the host might not have any change available.
We are meeting at about 10:25 am near the reception by the lounge area (next to the courts). Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use, but for the men lockers you need a padlock - or you can also take your bag of clothes upstairs to the courts if you do not have a padlock. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes, your racket and a water bottle with you.
There is a drinking fountain available if you need to replenish your bottle.
If you do not have a racket, it is possible to rent rackets from the club, if necessary (3âŹ). Sometimes the host or other members have spare rackets - please ask in the comment section below!
If you are joining our events for the first time, WELCOME! Let the host know that you are new and they will find a place for you. Don't worry, we are an open and friendly group. We are sure you will develop connections with the people in our community in no time!

Philosophy of Friendship: What are the bases of "friendship"?
As you may or may not know--I didn't until late last year--Aristotle wrote extensively on "friendship" in the Nicomachean Ethics. After 69 years the concept of friendship still creates questions and uncertainty. I had close friends in high school and for a few years after high school but our interests diverged and people moved all over the country so it was hard to maintain connections.
* So if I/you haven't talked with a friend for several years, are you still friends? Are we friends who meet at Drunken Philosophy or Omnipresent Atheists?
* Can you be friends with someone with whom you have virulently divergent political views? Sartre and Camus could not.
* Aristotle regarded friendship as essential to a good life, not merely an added "bonus." Do you agree?
* In the Nicomachean Ethics (Books VIII and IX), he claims that wealth and power are meaningless without friends. Trump has wealth and power but seems to have no real friends, but wealth and power seem meaningful to him in perverted ways. Can you have meaning in your life without friends?
* Do men and women view and maintain friendships in different ways?
* Aristotle categorizes friendship into three types, based on what forms the bond:
* **Utility**: Based on mutual benefit, but this type is fragile and ends when the usefulness ceases.
* **Pleasure**: Based on shared enjoyment (e.g., humor, hobbies). Common among youth but fades as interests change.
* **Virtue (The "Complete" Friendship)**: Based on mutual respect for each other's character and goodness. You wish good for the other for their sake, not yours.
* **Key Principles of "True" (Virtuous) Friendship:**
* **Permanence**: Virtuous friendships last a lifetime whereas those based on utility and pleasure are fleeting.
* **Reciprocity**: Requires mutual goodwill; secret or unreciprocated affection does not qualify.
* **The "Second Self"**: A true friend is "another self"âtheir virtue helps you understand and improve yourself.
* **Time and Intimacy**: Deep ("complete") friendships are few, built on time and shared experiences.
* **Self-Love and Friendship:**
* Good friendship starts with being a friend to yourself.
* They distinguish shallow egoism (chasing honors) from real self-love (pursuing virtue).
* A virtuous personâs pleasant self-company allows them to be a stable, good friend to others.
* Aristotle argues that one's social circle ultimately reflects one's characterâa view with striking relevance today. Well--the Drunken Philosophy social circle certainly reflects good character!

Based off of Jeet kune do we just continued where Bruce Lee left off. \
We have been around a while. \

Every week we get together and work technical skills and live pressure testing. \
Almost all of the instructors have been in everything from altercations in the real world to the ring and some still compete in the cage. \
If you want to take your skills up, improve your confidence, gain self defense skills, get in better shape, test yourself or just want to kill some time and possibly get hit a bit come on down. \

Freeing the Soul - An Introductory Circle

Join us for a welcoming evening of reflection, gentle music, and meaningful conversation. Weâll begin with a short grounding moment, followed by a brief reading from spiritual or philosophical traditions, and an open reflection circle where participants can share (or simply listen).
Libera Animae is an interfaith community focused on inner growth, creativity, and authentic connection. This first gathering is a simple introduction to the spirit of the group and a chance to meet others seeking deeper meaning and community.
