Westwood | Kawakubo Exhibition @ NGV + Coffee and Connection
Westwood | Kawakubo Exhibition @ NGV + Coffee and Connection
Join me to experience over 140 works of two of the most visionary and influential fashion designers in recent history, Vivienne Westwood and Rei Kawakubo. We will meet, explore the exhibition, and have a tea, coffee or something to eat together from the Arts Centre Cafe in the NGV gardens. *‘Emerging in the 1970s, both rebelled against rigid social expectations to find artistic and economic freedom through fashion. Self-taught iconoclasts who challenged the ‘rules’ of dress, their work is grounded in the desire for change. Throughout their careers, Westwood and Kawakubo have reframed ideas of beauty, gender and the relationship between body and garment through their rejection of fashion norms.’* Entry to this event is ticketed, a full priced Adult ticket is $40 For more info and to book tickets: [https://connect.ngv.vic.gov.au/70406](https://connect.ngv.vic.gov.au/70406 "https://connect.ngv.vic.gov.au/70406") When booking, book the 2pm Entry time Tickets can be purchased directly from the NGV ahead of the date, without transaction fees. **Location:** National Gallery of Victoria, International 180 St Kilda Road Melbourne **Agenda:** I will meet you outside the NGV at **1.45pm** so we are ready to head in at **2pm**. Twilight Port Melbourne and the Fisherman's Bend Story Walk Tour
**Twilight Port Melbourne and the Fisherman's Bend Story Walk Tour** *The lost world of Fisherman's Bend and the Early Port Melbourne story* **Date: Saturday 28th March** at 4.45pm for a 5.00PM start - our walk goes to approx 7.15PM-ish **Only $25 per person** \- please pay at start of walk \(cash or cards welcome\) **Starting Point:** Wait Outside: Melbourne Bakehouse 210 Bay St, Port Melbourne (Op Coles Supermarket on Bay St) **About This Walk:** In an area known more for its major industrialization and seemingly minor residential streets, we track back to the time when its glory days were so very different. Most people in Melbourne only see a tiny glimpse of Fishermans Bend when they cross the Westgate Bridge and then on they travel. Our walk today looks at several key landmarks and some very special waterside views not seen by the average Melbourne citizen. **After Our Walk** \- we'll conclude back at a foodie spot at Beacon Cove for a bite to eat and further chat before we head home\. **How To Get There:** Trams - 109 go to the 2nd last stop on the tram line at Graham St, then walk to Bay Street and the Bakehouse Cafe Parking - see this guide - https://www.parkopedia.com.au/parking/port_melbourne/
The Aquarian Tea Party - Creating your own Sigil
The Aquarian Tea Party - Creating your own Sigil
Tickets required: $50 via TryBooking: https://www.trybooking.com/DKUCD Location: Carlton (exact venue/address sent after ticket purchase). What it is: a structured gathering — tea ritual + guided conversation + guided sigil-making. Tea-only (no food). Bring a notebook if you like. Looking forward to seeing you there. **The Aquarian Tea Party - Creating your own Sigil** *Ceremony, Connection, Contemplation: Sacred Tea as Ritual, Conversation as Insight* The Aquarian Tea Party invites you to an intimate gathering in a small circle of shared space, presence, and reflection. We begin with the simple alchemy of making and drinking tea, allowing scent and warmth to do what they do best: gather the mind and open a space where thought can deepen. This is a way of meeting one another in a calm, shared rhythm. Tea is approached not as refreshment alone, but as a medium for slowing perception and cultivating attention. Silence and conversation move naturally between one another, allowing the group to arrive fully. From this stillness, we turn to a short (12-minute) video introduction to sigils: symbolic forms shaped by intention—letters, marks, and geometries arranged to hold a clear inner statement. Historically used across esoteric, mystical, and philosophical traditions, sigils function as focal points for meditation, inner alignment, and energetic inquiry. The film introduces both symbolic and geometrical sigils, including forms drawn from sacred geometry, and considers their use in contemplative, protective, and balancing practices. We will touch on several families of forms, including geometric structures such as the triangle, hexagram, the Flower of Life, and related patterns that have long carried metaphysical meaning. Afterward, we will engage in a guided discussion, not to reach consensus, but to deepen understanding. This is a space for nuance, interpretation, and careful listening. Our discussion follows in the spirit of shared inquiry: reflective rather than declarative, curious rather than certain. This is a room for nuance—for those who enjoy ideas with texture, and who can sit with mystery without needing it to become a slogan. The final portion of the gathering invites participants to create their own sigils under gentle guidance. This process emphasizes clarity of intention, symbolic coherence, and embodied awareness rather than outcome-driven practice. No prior experience is required—only curiosity, patience, and respect for complexity. Please get your tickets here: **https://www.trybooking.com/DKUCD** https://www.theteaparty.com.au/

Inclusive Grief Circle: Honouring Loss Through Ceremony, Community & Creativity
Inclusive Grief Circle: Honouring Loss Through Ceremony, Community & Creativity
Read reviews from past participants [here](https://www.greenhousecreativesanctuary.com/inclusivegrief) “Grief has never been private, it has always been communal. Subconsciously, we are awaiting the presence of others, before we can feel safe enough to drop to our knees on the holy ground of sorrow. For the most part, grief is not a problem to be solved, not a condition to be medicated, but a deep encounter with an essential experience of being human. Grief becomes problematic when the conditions needed to help us work with grief are absent.” - Francis Weller Our primary association with grief is the loss of a loved one but there are so many kinds of losses that don't have formal ceremonies that are important to honour. Unprocessed grief can accumulate in weight, dulling our senses and capacity for aliveness. This is a safe, supportive space for all shapes, sizes and textures of grief- for the loss of our loved ones, for the childhood we did not get to have, for the parts of ourselves that have been rejected and exiled, for friendships and relationships with ambiguous endings, for homes and communities we are distanced from and miss, for the suffering of the world and our fellow beings. This inclusive grief circle is also an advocacy for compassionate and attentive grief work, for reshaping our understanding of and relationship with grief. It is a holding space, a container, a time and a deep permission to acknowledge our emotions, our connections, the ways we have been touched and transformed, and our humanity. We will make art in response to the Grief Deck, share and witness each other’s stories and journeys, and co-create a group nature mandala together. **Please bring a jar and 8-10 similar natural objects (8 flowers or 8 sticks or 8 stones).** If you are facing financial hardship, please key in CONCESSION as a promo code for a discounted price of $25. If that is still difficult, please email me at greenhouse.arttherapy@gmail.com. No one will be turned away. **Please also note:** * This is an art-therapy informed community-based creative workshop, and is not intended to replace individual or group therapy, and is also not for emergency crisis support or intervention. * If you are comfortable with me taking photos of you and/or your artwork for learning and supervision purposes, and to offer others a sense of what the workshop is like, please let me know at the start of the session. Your participation would be greatly appreciated! * While the estimated time is 2 hours, it might overrun depending on the size of the group and the conversations we are having so please allow some grace for that.

Creative Conversations and Connections
Creative Conversations and Connections
This is a space for us to gather for an afternoon of flow, reflection, and creative kinship. Bring along a past, ongoing or future creative project or artwork or idea to introduce yourself with. A sculpture, a tapestry, a poem, a song, a performance, a dance, a video. Something you'd like to share with others, something meaningful to you, or something you have questions about. It does not have to be completed- it can even be a small collection of inspirations you've been pondering over. We’ll spend time creating together while having conversations about any questions or thoughts we might have about our intentions, inspirations, aspirations, anxieties, challenges, celebrations and struggles in relation to our creative identities and journeys. This is not a workshop or art therapy, just a community space for people who value creating. All forms of making and all levels are welcome — just come as you are. Bring your journal or any materials that support your practice. Art supplies will be provided.
