Look for English speakers wearing something approximating to running gear. **When:** We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm. There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers as much beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) as you can drink afterwards, plus snacks. **On After:** The clue is in the title. It's between Gleis 1 and Stadelhoferstrasse. **All Welcome:** If you are curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know: • We are a social running/walking group - physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour helps. • The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun. • 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further. • The '*Hare*', which changes with each event (along with the location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with chalk and/or flour markings) so that everyone reaches the end at about the same time. • There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change. • Headlamps are highly recommended during the winter months, especially if we go into the woods, which is often the case. • **After Trail**, we group in the '*Circle*' for 30-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This is usually outside, so bring warm, dry clothes to change into. If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We often go to a nearby restaurant for the 'On After' afterwards. **Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?** If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it. 'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. A great class for those who already have little knowledge of ballet or other forms of dance. Our classic Ballet Body Sculpture workout class, including mat exercises, ballet barre, and centre practice. Designed to sculpt and tone a perfect ballet body, as well as stretch, lengthen, and align all muscles for a great posture. In this gentle aerial yoga class, we use a soft fabric hammock suspended just 10 cm above the floor. The hammock supports your body as you move, helping you stretch more deeply, improve flexibility, and build strength in a new way. With the fabric holding part of your weight, you can explore each pose with more ease, sometimes with a soft sway, sometimes with a bit of challenge. We combine mobility, strength, and relaxation, and finish with a peaceful Savasana in the hammock. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
