Hello all, 2026 has been a funny one so far and I'm a bit later than planned scheduling this next event, so my apologies! But in a chaotic world there is no better place than a circle of women creating and connecting so I hope to meet some of you on the 26th of March :) This is a bring your own craft group so whether you're a seasoned crafter or learning something new bring whatever you're working on and join us for a chat. Group is €10 to attend, this goes toward room rental, treats for the group, etc. I will be in touch with attendees to organise this. I look forward to meeting you soon!

Adult Bachata and Salsa dance classes with practice social at Coolock Ardlea Scout Den Coolock Village. This is a mirror studio located upstairs from the hall with nice wooden floors. This is a weekly Thursday event. Come down, learn and have fun! Men and Women are welcome. Free taster for first timers and discount for students, request via dm. Beginners cost 10 euro for all beginner classes and practice.

Hello Everyone! Let's read something before coming to the event. It can be a few pages from a book, an article, a poem, an advertisement, a joke, a recipe, a quote, social media content - anything you find interesting. We meet and chat about it, as a starting point of conversation. Please feel free to bring books :)

## Portraiture and Figure Drawing from Observation // A 6 Week Course with Artist Marie Le Men // Starts Thursday March 26 // 10:00 - 13:00 **Book Here - https://www.tickettailor.com/events/skillsets/2026373** This course led by artist Marie Le Men is designed for beginners as well as more advanced learners to learn an observational approach to portraiture from a variety of sources, alternating between short poses sessions and long ones. There will be a strong emphasis on construction, i.e. structure of the head and placement of features, neck and shoulders, hands and arms. We will also be experimenting with materials and a toolbox of techniques, to learn to vary line work and render different textures, or select limited palettes. We will work from reference pictures and from life with models. **\* Please note we will take a 1 week break on April 9** Outline of the course - **Week 1**: Drawing the head and shoulders with graphite and charcoal (exercises from ref pics in Monochrome – 1 hour Speed drawing exercises and 2 hour long drawing **Week 2**: Drawing the head and shoulders from life with model in dry or mixed media – Placing key features **Week 3**: Drawing arms and hands : Introduction to drawing techniques and line work – 1 hour Speed drawing exercises and 2 hour long head and shoulders exercise – Using charcoal **Week 4:** Drawing arms and hands : portrait from life with model – limited palette of 2-4 colours – Tones and values **Week 5:** Full body poses: Introduction to drawing techniques and line work– 1 hour Speed drawing exercises **Week 6:** Full figure portrait in your medium of choice with model **Course Fee: €295** \* Some materials will be provided, though a small materials list will be sent to each participant. ***Your Tutor:*** Marie Le Men is a figurative artist born in France and is based in Dublin. She specializes in portraiture and figurative drawing. In her work, she aims to capture the unique energy of her sitters through vibrant line work and the use of water- based media. Her work was selected in exhibitions such as the Zurich Portrait Prize and the RUA Annual Exhibition. Hi 🙋‍♂️ we will meet at 7pm at ‘the Sails’ sculpture. We will walk along the seafront prom to the wooden bridge and back & stop for a drink & chat in the Yacht pub. To get to the walk start from town:- Clontarf dart station is just a short walk away. Or there are lots of bus stops close by too. Mixed level ballet class suitable for people with good ballet foundations knowledge (improvers to intermediate)

Join the group for coffee, a chat and bring your project upstairs in Starbucks on Westmoreland Street from 12-2.30pm (or sometimes longer!). There is a lift for those with mobility issues but please check with staff if it's working. There's no charge for the meetup but we ask please that you join our Whatsapp group if you plan on staying with the group. Cost is only €5 a year to pay for Meetup subs etc.

Let’s meet at Connolly Station and take the DART together to Dalkey. From there, we’ll walk through the village, head up Killiney Hill for stunning views, then go down to Killiney Beach. We’ll stop for coffee and chats either halfway at the top of Killiney Hill (there’s a café nearby) or at the end near the beach. It’s a relaxed walk — no pressure to talk too much, go fast, or be social if you’re feeling quiet. Well will be meeting at Connolly Station (meeting at Pret A Manger near the ticket machines) at 13:00, we will wait 10 minutes for everyone then taking the DART to Dalkey, we will be walking to Killiney Hill Car park and then starting and finishing at Killiney Train Station. 🎒 What to Bring: • Walking shoes • Travel card (Leap Card or ticket for DART) • Water • Layers or light jacket • Anything that helps you feel comfy (headphones, snack) • This walk includes a gentle hill. We’ll go at a calm pace. • You can stay quiet or chat — whatever suits you. • All welcome, especially if you’re new or prefer small, peaceful meetups. We can go for a drink or cafe after it is up to you. The event costs 5 Euros worth, helping make to more events, because it takes time and effort making this and I want to make everything perfect and safe

This group is all about hosting a monthly in-person book club right here in Dublin City! If you're into the book we're reading and want to chat about it with others, this is the perfect spot for you. We will hike about 1.5 miles on a loop then reverse to get about 3 miles. The trail is flat but there are some roots etc. protruding so I’ll be using poles. There is an old homestead there that is interesting. I always feel as though this preserve reeks of peace and tranquility. We will hike at a pace of 3 to 3.5 mph (but you’re free to go faster if you’d like!) Optional lunch after if there is an interest
