Making new friends in a new city doesn’t need to be a struggle at all.

We do cycles of 4-6 weeks, with a progressive intensity, and the last session is lighter. Program: 15’ warm up **To be defined** Cool down to get back to the starting point… or more S=All out sprint RF = Run fast, at MAS (Maximum aerobic speed) CF = Run comfortably fast (1h threshold) J = Jog, recuperation Notes: It should take about one hour in total, as the cool down will end when we reach back to the meeting point. It's NOT required to have an activity tracker or smart watch to be able to follow the program, as I'll be giving signals with a whistle. For the "run" part, you can follow your own pace and we'll be regrouping in the "jog" part. Intervals training is not advised for total beginners. We’ll follow an easy loop along the lakes and the Woluwe River, enjoying that unique winter serenity: silhouettes of trees against the sky, reflections on the water, and the quiet shift from day to night. For those who are still in Brussels the last weekend before Christmas, I propose a somewhat different hike with not one, but two Christmas markets to visit! We will start the hike in the little town of Soignies, best known for its quarries where the famous "pierre bleue" is cut. After about 2 hours we will reach the Chateau de Thieusies, where this weekend the artisanal Christmas market "Chemins de Creation" is held. We will stop for about 1 to 1.5h, depending on how much there is to do. I assume there will also be food, but I can't guarantee, as I've never been there (i.e. bring something for lunch to be on the safe side). From there we'll continue the hike for about another 3 hours to Mons, with its Christmas market taking place on the Grand Place and some other locations, so plenty of opportunities for glühwein, food or whatever reward you feel you deserve at that point ;-) As the number of participants is limited, it is important that you manage your registration responsibly: only sign up if you really intend to come and cancel as soon as you know you can’t (this also goes for people on the waiting list!). We will try to keep close to an average speed of about 5 km/h. We will walk mainly on unpaved roads. We will hike approx 4 miles looping through the gardens, boardwalk trail and chipmunk trail.

Hi ladies. We will meet in front of the Nature Center and head to the two Observation decks. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
