You can expect a friendly introduction to the sport, but in all honesty you will dive in at the deep end to learn UWR. Please bring swimwear and an open mind and expectation to have fun. We can lend an UWR hat, snorkle, mask and fins. Although if you have them already it is better to bring your own. Expect to swim, dive to 4m depth, hold your breath longer than you thought you could, be involved in drills and games. It is full contact and you will be wrestling other players to take the ball and pass to your team or score a goal. We use premium Yonex mavis nylon shuttles during the 2-hour session. **PAYMENT** * **Session Fee: £9** * We are cashless, kindly pay the session fee **by 5pm** on the session day. Parking is opposite the entrance. Please check the signs for parking payment instructions. **FEELING UNWELL** * If you develop symptoms of COVID-19 while in attendance, please inform an organiser and leave the site immediately. **TRACK & TRACE** * We will collect your phone number on-site. ***Make sure you understand how payment works before signing up (details below)!*** It's too dark to play weekday pickup ultimate outside in the winter, so we've booked a venue to play frisbee indoors! As this is indoors, sadly space is limited (18 people) and it also costs money (£8.50 per session or £70 for the season). We'll be playing 2 hours of super casual 5v5 pick-up games. As always, all skill levels/experience are welcome! We're happy to teach if you're happy to learn. ALL LEVELS Thurs we are in the Sports Hall, Court 4. Please ask front desk staff to point you in right direction What's involved: * Hone Elbow strikes * Drill Knee combos * Condition Clinch techniques * Develop Boxing hand speed What you'll need: * Decent pair of Trainers! This will be on flat surface with no mats, good sports trainers are essential! * Also bring following equipment; Handwraps, Gloves, Gumshields, Groinbox etc (you should always have these equipment with you). Shinguards are not required for this class There is Sparring in this class. Although light & controlled sparring there are always risk of injury like with every contact sport.
