What even is 'Impact'? A workshop on the real-world consequences of your org
What the #%\*@ is impact?
In a world where corporations are judged on their social impact nations unite over goals for environmental sustainability and happiness is considered as a rival metric for a country’s GDP– organisations need to measure the impact their organisation has on the real-world, not just their own bottom line.
But what even IS impact? Is it important for companies that don’t have social or environmental goals? How do you measure it?
This workshop will first introduce the concept of Impact, followed by a dive into how it’s defined and measured around the world in a dozen different domains and ultimately how we might apply it to produce products that pack a punch.
**Our facilitator**
[JJ Monester](https://www.linkedin.com/in/jjmonester/) works as an Associate Product Manager for the non-profit news media company, The Conversation International, a company which democratises knowledge by bridging the gap between academic research and the general public. Having worked on products where providing evidence of Impact to customers is fundamental, he has gone deep into the complex and nuanced world of understanding what frameworks attempt to achieve.
Grokking organisational impact is an area of learning JJ could get lost in, and possibly already has :-). As an area that he is spending time on in his day to day, yet still feeling like he’s a beginner, he’s very much looking forward to sharing what’s he learning and getting deeper into the concepts alongside you all. Let’s have fun together.

How is it that you can Help kids or yourself to become a better student!
Too many kids as well as teenagers and adults have problems with study.
Today's meetup will inform you about the basics in STUDY TECHNOLOGY that provides an understanding of the basics of learning and supplies exact ways to overcome all the pitfalls one can encounter during study. This is applicable to young children, teenagers (or their parents that are trying to help them) and adults alike.
Study Technology shows how one studies in order to comprehend a subject so one can apply it. Laws on which learning is based and workable methods have also been discovered for anyone to apply for themselves or when teaching others.
Too many students graduate from school and college unable to put to use what they’ve learned in school.
It’s not that they’re stupid or that their teachers didn’t know how to teach.
More than likely it traces back to the one thing missing from most educations—learning how to learn in the first place.
We all went to school, yet isn’t it odd that no one taught us how to study?
The information presented at this meetup can help anyone improve others or his own ability to learn.
It is a practical tool that parents and teachers alike can use to enhance a child's study performance. You’ll learn the barriers that lie between your own or a child's education.
And you will very quickly learn how to overcome them.
This technology will enable you or a child to pursue any subject with skill and confidence.
Teachers who have "hard to handle/distributive " or slow learners in class will absolutely love the amazing turn around most often seen in improved behaviour and student performance in class.
If you or your child has difficulties at school (or learning new things at work or online) than this meetup is important to you.
If you can not make it to our meetup than contact the organizer and arrange it to suit your time.
This technology can if one was to live far away be taught online. (extension course)
You may offcourse also opt to have this technology taught to your own child by experienced volunteeer staff or learn about this yourself and transfer this knowledge to those you want to have better grades.
Yes it is possible to improve anyone's study performance. All it takes is just 5 steps.
See you at this meetup.

'Escape the Rat Race' Workshop this Sat
Dear property investor,
**Note: please [register](https://events.resultsmentoring.com/escape.html?utm_source=meetup&utm_campaign=drn) to attend the workshop via Zoom.**
If current market uncertainty has been making you hesitate or second-guess your next move, you’re not alone.
Today's rate increase. Oil prices. Inflation pressure. Tax-policy debate. More noise, more uncertainty, and more investors sitting on their hands waiting for things to feel clearer.
But **doing nothing is not a strategy**.
That’s exactly why our sponsors at Results Mentoring are running a free live online workshop this Saturday:
**Escape the Rat Race with Property in Uncertain Times**
Saturday 21 March
10:00am-12:00pm AEDT
**[Reserve your free seat here](https://events.resultsmentoring.com/escape.html?utm_source=meetup&utm_campaign=drn)**
This session will be especially relevant if you’re trying to work out what to do next as an investor, renovator or developer.
The Results team will cover:
• why having your own **financial freedom plan** is even more important with the current economic uncertainty.
• how big your portfolio needs to be to **replace your income** and **escape the rat race**
• how to decide whether your next move should focus on **growth, cash flow**, or an **active deal**
• which property strategies still make sense even if **tax settings change**
• what real investors are doing right now to build **positive cash flow, faster equity growth**, and in some cases **6-figure profits in months** — or a path to **quitting their jobs within 5-10 years**
And importantly, this won’t just be theory.
They’ll unpack real case studies showing how Results members are applying these strategies in the current market.
If you want more clarity, more confidence, and a better framework for your next move, join the online workshop this Saturday.
**[Reserve your free seat here](https://events.resultsmentoring.com/escape.html?utm_source=meetup&utm_campaign=drn)**[ ](https://events.resultsmentoring.com/escape.html?utm_source=meetup&utm_campaign=drn)
Best regards,
– Tony
**P.S.** Property investors who succeed long-term don’t wait for certainty — they build a plan and execute it.
This workshop will show you **how to build that plan.**
Project Hail Mary
Hi all,
We havent seen scifi for a while, and this on is more hollywood blockbuster than our usual arthouse, so something different.
It also scores an impressive 95% with critics and 98% with audiences on rotten tomatoes. But runs for 2hrs 30 min 😫
We'll be in the usual meeting place [read on for details] from 6:30pm. If there's something else on your film wish list that you want to catch instead, then please feel free to do so and catch us in the Nova bar afterwards for a chat.
Looking forward to seeing you there.
Cheers,
Alicia
**--=>+ Meeting Spot +<=--**
Outside the clothing store Black Orange. It is inside Lygon Court next to Brunettis. Join the group at the meeting spot 10 minutes before the start time or see us in the movie.
**--=>+ The Film +<=--**
A sci-fi adventure epic from Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, The Lego Movie, 22 Jump Street), PROJECT HAIL MARY stars Ryan Gosling and Sandra Hüller.
Science teacher Ryland Grace (Gosling) wakes up alone on a spaceship, light-years from home with no recollection of who he is or how he got there. As his memory returns, he begins to remember his mission: solve the riddle of a mysterious substance causing the sun to die out and stop it from being destroyed. Calling on all his scientific knowledge and unorthodox ideas to save everything on Earth from extinction, he soon learns that an unexpected friendship may be the key to keeping humanity alive.
**--=>+ Tickets +<=--**
Everyone will need to buy their own ticket online and in advance. If you want to sit with other group members, there's a tendency for us to pick seats in the back two rows. Those who feel comfortable can catch up in Nova's bar afterward.
**--=>+ Afterwards+<=--**
We meet in Nova's bar after the movie. Look for us in the area to the left as you go down the steps. Share your thoughts about the film with the group over a drink of your choice.
If the bar is closed we typically head across the road to the Wolf's Lair which is out the back of Jimmy Watson's.
TBG 35+ Midfield @ Sat 8:45am
This smaller half-pitch match is strictly for **35 years and older** players only, as well as **not for beginners**. You must register to play.
Please arrive on time to lend a hand in setting up the goals. A Roll Call for registered players is conducted. If you arrive late, you will need to join one of the other remaining open-age matches and relinguish your spot for someone who is on the waiting list and has come on-time. Please have the courtesy to de-register if you are unable to attend at all. Please wear a black or white top, or bring both so teams can be easily divided evenly.
We recommend shin guards as the game is competitive and a contact sport. It is up to you to manage your own risk of injury, as this is social and free. However, we do NOT condone sliding tackles and over-aggressiveness.
Please place your possessions in a safe place while the game is running. Your possessions are your own responsibility.
Post-match, please help with packing up the goals, bibs and cones. 2-3 people per goal makes very light work and only takes 3 minutes.

As his memory returns, he begins to uncover his mission to save the Earth.
