KMLF March 2026 - Making your AI trustworthy
KMLF March 2026 - Making your AI trustworthy
Have you ever met someone who really wants to learn guitar, but rather than have Lessons, they just watch hundreds and hundreds of YouTube videos? No order, no progressing skill and not even the same genre of music? That is how most people are approaching AI right now and Knowledge Management has something BIG to say about that. When businesses say “My system is hallucinating”, KMers hear “I fed my system a bunch of random data, why is it saying random things??”. Two words have been missing and are now taking off, in fact some are calling it a $billion industry. Context and Provenance. Come along to KMLF for a different session. We will be watching a recent discussion from one of the top voices in this field and learning and discussing what it means for us as we help guide our organisations to a better AI (and knowledge) future. Thanks again to MinterEllison, who host the amazing space we meet in each month. **Session Details:** * **Date & Time:** 6:00pm AEDST, Fourth Wednesday of each month * **Format:** Minter Ellison and on Teams * **Agenda:** * 6-6:30 pm networking * 6:30-7:45pm exploration of the topic * 7:45-8pm wrap up * 8pm dinner for those interested. KMLF has run monthly, almost uninterrupted since 1998, serving the Victorian Knowledge Management community with close ties to Change Mgt, Records Mgt, Information Governance and Academic communities.

Melbourne AWS User Group #157 - March 2026
🎉 **Melbourne AWS User Group – March Meetup** 🎉 --- 📅 Wednesday, 25 March 📍 NAB Events Hub – 395 Bourke Street, Melbourne ⏰ Food at 6:00 pm, talks from 6:30 pm (with live stream) Join us for our March for our March meetup as we explore two important areas of modern cloud architecture: **security and resilience**. This month we’ll look at how organisations can improve least-privilege access using IAM Access Analyzer, and how to design highly resilient architectures using AWS fault isolation and multi-region patterns. This month’s lineup features: • **Hazra Ali**, a brand new **AWS Community Builder for 2026**, is presenting on how business analysis techniques can improve outcomes when using AWS IAM Access Analyzer. • **Anshika Gupta** sharing architectural principles for building resilient systems using static stability, fault isolation, and multiple AWS Regions. A huge thank you to our sponsors: 🥇 **Mantel Group – Gold Sponsor**, 🥈 **Cevo – Silver Sponsor**, 🏛 **NAB – Venue Sponsor** The event will be live-streamed on YouTube as always. *** 🗓️ **Agenda** 6:00 pm – Food & Socialising 6:30 pm – Introductions 6:40 pm – What’s New in AWS 6:55 pm – **Business Analysis in AWS IAM Access Analyzer (Level 100)**; Speaker: Hazra Ali 7:25 pm – **Reinforcing Resilience in the Real World with Static Stability, Fault Isolation and Multiple Regions (Level 200)**; Speaker: Anshika Gupta 7:55 pm – Marketplace (Who’s Hiring) 8:00 pm – Networking + Close *** 🎤 **Talk Details** **Business Analysis in AWS IAM Access Analyzer** Speaker: Hazra Ali Level: 100 Business analysis plays a crucial role in helping organisations implement change to address challenges and leverage solutions that deliver value. AWS IAM Access Analyzer helps organisations grant precise permissions as requirements evolve, guiding users toward least privilege by enabling them to set, verify, and refine permissions. In this presentation, Hazra will explore how business analysis practices can enhance the effectiveness of IAM Access Analyzer when solving real-world problems. The session will also discuss how AI can support business analysis workflows and assist in understanding the core concepts behind IAM Access Analyzer. *** **Reinforcing Resilience in the Real World with Static Stability, Fault Isolation and Multiple Regions** Speaker: Anshika Gupta Level: 200 At AWS, resilience is viewed as a continuous process, built on years of experience working with customers operating critical workloads. In this session, Anshika will explore how to design systems using AWS fault isolation boundaries and the concept of static stability to achieve predictable recovery times and high availability. You’ll learn: • How AWS Regions are designed and operated for resilience • Key architectural patterns AWS services use to maintain operations during disruptions • How static stability helps maintain availability under failure conditions • Practical architecture patterns for building multi-region resilience This session will showcase design principles, best practices, and example architectures that can help you meet your resilience requirements for mission-critical workloads. *** 🙌 **Want to Speak at a Future Meetup?** We’re always looking for new speakers and believe everyone has an interesting talk waiting to be shared. The Aquarian Tea Party - Creating your own Sigil
The Aquarian Tea Party - Creating your own Sigil
Tickets required: $50 via TryBooking: https://www.trybooking.com/DKUCD Location: Carlton (exact venue/address sent after ticket purchase). What it is: a structured gathering — tea ritual + guided conversation + guided sigil-making. Tea-only (no food). Bring a notebook if you like. Looking forward to seeing you there. **The Aquarian Tea Party - Creating your own Sigil** *Ceremony, Connection, Contemplation: Sacred Tea as Ritual, Conversation as Insight* The Aquarian Tea Party invites you to an intimate gathering in a small circle of shared space, presence, and reflection. We begin with the simple alchemy of making and drinking tea, allowing scent and warmth to do what they do best: gather the mind and open a space where thought can deepen. This is a way of meeting one another in a calm, shared rhythm. Tea is approached not as refreshment alone, but as a medium for slowing perception and cultivating attention. Silence and conversation move naturally between one another, allowing the group to arrive fully. From this stillness, we turn to a short (12-minute) video introduction to sigils: symbolic forms shaped by intention—letters, marks, and geometries arranged to hold a clear inner statement. Historically used across esoteric, mystical, and philosophical traditions, sigils function as focal points for meditation, inner alignment, and energetic inquiry. The film introduces both symbolic and geometrical sigils, including forms drawn from sacred geometry, and considers their use in contemplative, protective, and balancing practices. We will touch on several families of forms, including geometric structures such as the triangle, hexagram, the Flower of Life, and related patterns that have long carried metaphysical meaning. Afterward, we will engage in a guided discussion, not to reach consensus, but to deepen understanding. This is a space for nuance, interpretation, and careful listening. Our discussion follows in the spirit of shared inquiry: reflective rather than declarative, curious rather than certain. This is a room for nuance—for those who enjoy ideas with texture, and who can sit with mystery without needing it to become a slogan. The final portion of the gathering invites participants to create their own sigils under gentle guidance. This process emphasizes clarity of intention, symbolic coherence, and embodied awareness rather than outcome-driven practice. No prior experience is required—only curiosity, patience, and respect for complexity. Please get your tickets here: **https://www.trybooking.com/DKUCD** https://www.theteaparty.com.au/

Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
Connected Westerville Night of Networking!
**Connected Westerville Night of Networking** *April Edition: The Introduction Economy* You've been to the networking events. You've done the small talk. Collected the cards. Forgotten the names. And walked out feeling like you just wasted two hours of your life. The problem isn't you. It's the format. Most networking events put you in a room and tell you to figure it out. So everyone defaults to elevator pitches and business talk, and nothing real gets built. Here's the truth about networking that most people miss: Your network isn't just who you know. It's who thinks of you when they're talking to someone else. *That's* The Introduction Economy. And it only works when relationships are real. There's a reason people who come once keep coming back. It starts with seven minutes that feel nothing like networking. Then we open it up. Free networking. More conversations. More momentum. This is a room full of corporate professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners, creatives, and career builders in the Westerville and Columbus area. The mix is the magic. You might never do business with everyone you meet tonight. But someone in this room will think of *you.* **By name**. So, the next time someone needs exactly what you do, you get the recommendation. **April 14th. RSVP now.** **When:** Tuesday\, April 14th \| 6:15 PM \-\- 8:00 PM **Where:** Vineyard Community Center \| 6000 Cooper Rd\, Westerville\, OH 43081
