How 3 yr projects can be delivered in 3 months - no kidding!
For our March meetup we are excited to host Darryl Wright who will demonstrate how you really can deliver 3 yr projects in 3 months using Value Stream Mapping and Flow Efficiency.
Find out what other organisations are doing to slash the time it takes them to deliver value, and how you can do it too.
This talk explores:
1\. What is Value Stream Mapping \(VSM\)\, and Flow Efficiency ?
2\. What does VSM reveal about how most organisations deliver value today ?
3\. The big lightbulb moment: can 3 yr projects really be delivered in 3 months? \(hint: yes\!\)
4\. Where to from here ? \(and can I use AI to help with all of this ?\)
And then, as we always highly encourage participation to embed what we learnt, we'll give the method a go ourselves with Darryl's expert guidance.
**Meet your Speaker - Darryl Wright, Value Delivery Advisor and Trainer at Organa**
*The only constant in life is change.*
Darryl comes from a strong commercial and delivery background borne from two decades of experience in traditional IT project and program management and running IT businesses.
This led him on a journey to find more successful and humane ways of working, becoming an Enterprise Agile coach and trainer. He is now a passionate champion of changing the way the world works.
His guiding vision is to assist organisations to become great places to work that have happy, effective staff who create brilliant products and services that their customers love.

BEGINNER WORKSHOP: GRILLZ JEWELLERY
GRILLZ LAB INTRO TO CUSTOM GRILLZ JEWELLERY
Hosted by Marie Grillz
This hands on workshop introduces the creative process behind custom grillz as a form of wearable jewellery sculpture.
Participants will learn how artists design and prototype grillz using wax-carving techniques commonly used in jewellery manufacturing.
The session focuses on wax material experimentation and translating a personal aesthetic into a wearable metal object.
You will be working on a pre-made dental plaster impression provided for practice.
If you wish to create a personal impression of your own teeth, you may choose to take a mould of your own teeth prior to the workshop.
* This must be performed by a professional dentist. Please contact Marie if you require assistance finding a dentist.
This workshop is intended for creative education and jewellery making and not a dentistry course.
About Your Instructor:
Jennifer is the designer and grillz artist behind Marie Grillz.
With a Bachelor in Fashion Enterprise, Fashion Design, Jewellery manufacturing, and mentorship from an established Australian grillz jeweller, Jennifer specialises in translating fashion aesthetics into precious metal mouth jewellery.
Jenniferâs main research during her university degree was exploring body adornment. Taking this into her jewellery career, her art sits between fashion accessory and body adornment, and she will be teaching the same creative prototyping methods she uses in her studio practice.
What Youâll Do:
You will create a wax prototype for a grillz jewellery piece the stage used by jewellers before metal casting.
Workshop Outline:
* Welcome & Intro
* Overview of the session
* History of Grillz
* Looking at sample grillz styles
* Discuss design possibilities, materials, and whatâs achievable in wax
* Pouring plaster moulds to get a good impression mould
* Wax melting and carving for grillz
* Troubleshooting fitting issues
Important Details:
* All participants work on pre-made models, not their own teeth.
* The metal grillz piece is decorative only and will NOT fit your teeth.
* If you wish to bring your own model, it is your responsibility to arrange this with a licensed dental professional not with Marie grillz
* This workshop is for beginners only â polishing, metal casting, or dental impression work will not be taught, though relevant information will be shared.
* All activities are creative and jewellery-focused.

* Grillz in person workshop notes
* Grillz booklet on how to make grillz and everything Iâve learnt during my journey in the industry

The Aquarian Tea Party - The Alchemy of Emotions
This is a paid event ($50)
Tickets: https://www.trybooking.com/DJLFG
This meetup is an experiment in inner craft: what happens when you treat emotions as material you can work withâlike colour, heat, pressure, and timingârather than as a problem to explain.
Weâll begin with a tea ceremony - a practical way to shift attention and set a tempo. Then weâll watch a 20-minute film that explores emotional alchemy: how certain states thicken everything, how others clarify, and how small changes in attention can change the result.
Emotions here are treated like an inner alchemy set: not just âfeelings,â but energetic forces with different frequencies that can be transformed. Raw emotions (even the heavy ones like fear, anger, or sorrow) arenât mistakes to deleteâtheyâre the base states. With mindful awarenessâwatching what you feel without judging or shoving it downâyou start to see what theyâre made of, where they come from, and how they can be refined into clearer qualities like compassion, understanding, and love.
We lean into classic alchemy imagery to map the process: trials burn off emotional âimpurities,â letting-go dissolves old patterns, and reintegration creates a more balanced selfâlike turning inner lead into gold. The heart is the main crucible, with love and compassion as the essential ingredients, and the goal isnât to become emotionless, but to become skilled: responding with steadiness instead of reacting on autopilot. Along the way, emotions act as symbolic messengers, showing up as archetypes and shadow material (the shadow, the phoenix, the warrior, the labyrinth), guiding the return to wholeness.
This is a whole-body, soul-level process: emotions ripple through your mind and your nervous system, show up in your breath and muscles, and move through you in patterns you can learn to meet with more balance and grace. We are invited to see emotions not as random mood swings, but as meaningful ingredients in our own inner laboratory.
**Important:** this is **not** counselling, therapy, coaching, or any professional service. This gathering is for people who want a fun afternoon of ideas, tea, and conversationâlearning the craft of alchemy and magic.

**What moves are you making?**
A promotion youâre working toward.
A role change youâre considering.
A bigger leadership opportunity.
A conversation that needs to happen.
A decision thatâs been sitting in the back of your mind.
For our Q1 Women in Product Columbus event, weâre creating space to actually work through those moments.
**Making Moves** is an evening of focused, facilitated coaching conversations with experienced mentors from our local product community. This isnât a panel. Itâs not passive networking. Itâs small-group dialogue designed to be thoughtful, practical, and worth your time.
Hereâs how it will work:
⢠Youâll choose a topic that reflects what youâre navigating right now
⢠Youâll join a small coaching circle (5â7 participants)
⢠Each circle is led by a mentor who has lived experience in that area
⢠Weâll run two rounds so you can go deeper or explore a second conversation
### Coaching Topics:
⢠Communicating the Value of Your Work (or Team)
⢠Career Transitions & Whatâs Next
⢠Growing Into Leadership
⢠Staying Relevant as Technology (and AI) Changes
⢠Getting Alignment and Decisions from Leadership
Our goal is simple: you leave with clearer thinking, practical perspective, and at least one next step you feel confident about.
Space in each circle will be limited to keep conversations meaningful.
If this sounds like the kind of room youâve been wanting to be in, weâd love to see you on March 10.

As we wrap up the quarter, itâs a great time to pause and reflect. Whatâs on track? What needs adjustment? Where could a small shift create bigger impact?
Join fellow product professionals for a focused, interactive conversation designed to help you recalibrate for the next quarter. Youâll have the opportunity to share where you are, hear how others are thinking through similar challenges, and gain fresh perspective you can bring back to your team and organization.
