Shut Up & Write!™ Copenhagen
Shut Up & Write!™ Copenhagen
Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, résumé, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: - 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros. - Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour. - After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (We’ll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer. What Should I Bring? Whatever you need to be able to write! Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafe’s overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.
Silvers Dinners: Jamaican Food & Stories with Claire
Silvers Dinners: Jamaican Food & Stories with Claire
TICKETS HERE: [https://www.thesilvers.dk/](https://www.thesilvers.dk/) all ages and backgrounds are welcome! Book a ticket on our website, average 6-8 people join each dinner. \-\-\- **Silvers is a project of dinners hosted by the senior generation.** To give people access to the authentic stories and knowledge of senior people. Based in Copenhagen. Every Silvers Dinner is hosted by someone who has lived a full life and wants to share what they have learned through time. Now, they open their homes for a few guests at a time to share a homemade meal and life inspiration. *** **This next evening takes place at Claire’s home by the lakes in Østerbro.** Claire is a Jamaican artist, teacher, and storyteller who has lived in Denmark for over 30 years. She is part of the senior generation and brings decades of experience. She is one of the most creative minds we have been lucky enough to meet with this project, always thinking of what she can invent or create from scratch. The evening includes a homemade Jamaican meal, Jamaican coffee (and optionally rum), and desserts like coconut drops and biscuits. You’ll eat together while Claire plays Jamaican music and presents stories from her life in Jamaica. At some point during the evening, Claire will move on to guide a small creative crafts activity, a chance to work with your hands, continue the conversation, and be guided by Claire's passion and expertise. The atmosphere is informal, curious, and shaped by own Claire’s life experience and perspective. *** **Price disclaimer:** The ticket costs 400 DKK. The majority of the price goes directly to the host for food, preparation, materials and hosting. It also supports the development of Silvers as a small, independent project creating new Silvers experiences. [https://www.thesilvers.dk](https://www.thesilvers.dk) to book ticket. Join this **SILVERS Dinners** group to get updates about senior wisdom, dinners, and real life experiences.

The place has originally hosted leftwing activist groups, and many of the people joining are also involved in political groups. If you want to join for chopping and cooking, we will be doing that from 3 to 6 pm. It is possible to join part of the time. From 6 to 8pm we are serving food. Donation around 30 kroner. If you are helping out some hours, chopping, cooking or cleaning, you can eat for free. From 8 to 9 - 9:30 pm we are cleaning up the place. We hope to see you in our lovely foodclub <3
Coffee Talk
Coffee Talk
Fulfillment. Joy. – Do you know what it is? Do you feel it now? Many of us are living lives that have “just sort of happened”. We had a dream, a vision (maybe we still do) for what we wanted our lives to look like. Somewhere along the way, life took over and something else ended up happening. We made decisions, took a turn down a path, and now our life isn’t what we thought it would be. Or we’re living someone else’s life. Maybe it’s what our parent’s wanted for us. What we believe our partner or a potential partner might want. Or maybe it’s what we believe we need to do and have to be happy. I was one of these people. My life checked all the boxes for what I thought I needed in order to be happy. And still, I wasn’t. Join me for a coffee talk on what it means to live a Life By Design. Where your choices are deliberate and based on your authentic, true self. What you have to let go off to achieve this (hint: the notion that vulnerability is a weakness and feelings of fear and guilt) and who you will become in the process.
NEW YEAR in Transilvania: Road Trip, Castles and Beers
NEW YEAR in Transilvania: Road Trip, Castles and Beers
Are you tired of the usual expensive and boring New Year's Eve parties? Join us for a unique adventure to start 2026! 🎆 I'm Francesco, a biologist and explorer. I have organized a 7-day trip to Romania (Dec 30 - Jan 6) that combines an authentic Urban NYE with a wild Road Trip into the heart of Transylvania. 🗺️ THE PLAN PART 1: The Urban Warm-up (Dec 30 - Jan 1) 📍 Timișoara: We will explore the "Little Vienna" of Romania. No tourist traps: we’ll hunt for hidden Jazz Clubs, drink fresh unpasteurized beer at the factory, and explore the communist history. NYE Night: We celebrate in the main square with the locals and fireworks, then move to a cool pub to welcome the new year. PART 2: Into the Wild Road Trip (Jan 1 - Jan 5) We pick up our car and head to the mountains! 🚗 🦬 Wildlife: We’ll track European Bisons in the snow at the Hațeg Reserve. 🏰 Gothic Vibes: Visit Corvin Castle (one of the spookiest and most beautiful castles in Europe). ❄️ Snow & Trekking: Base in Sibiu (Medieval city) + a day of accessible winter hiking in Păltiniș. 🧊 The Ice Hotel: Driving the legendary Transfăgărășan Road up to the frozen Bâlea Waterfall to see the famous Hotel of Ice. 👀 WHO IS THIS FOR? I'm looking for 2-3 chill, open-minded travel buddies (20-40s). If you prefer nature, good conversations, and a snowy adventure over a chaotic disco, you are the perfect fit! 💰 COSTS & LOGISTICS I have already arranged the logistics (Car Rental + Itinerary). Style: Low-cost but smart (Hostels/Guesthouses). Budget: We share the costs (Fuel/Food) and there is a fixed fee that covers the Car Rental and Accommodation for the whole week. 📅 DATES: Dec 30th to Jan 6th. 📍 MEETING POINT: Timișoara. 👉 HOW TO JOIN: This is a small group (max 4 people in the car). Send me a direct message here on Meetup or contact me on IG: pangolin_travel.

Get together and write
Get together and write
We're a group of writers that meets up every Sunday for a productive writing session. **Here's how the meetup works:** * We gather together, grab some fika, and then we write for an hour. * After the hour is up, we spend some time chatting, sharing ideas and thoughts on writing, and discussing the challenges we've come across. The goal is to **commit to working on your writing project for a set amount of time, all while** **connecting with other writers** and being motivated by the energy of creative minds working hard on their individual projects. You'll have the chance to share your work and receive valuable feedback (if you so wish) or simply enjoy the company of like-minded individuals. -- We're here, **same place, same time, every week.** So if you're feeling up to it, drop by and let's get writing!

Mulled Wine (Gløgg) & Collage Night: A Hygge Creative Workshop
Mulled Wine (Gløgg) & Collage Night: A Hygge Creative Workshop
Escape the winter chill and immerse yourself in an evening of creativity, conversation, and coziness. Join us for a **Mulled Wine & Collage Workshop**—a seasonal gathering that celebrates Danish *hygge* through warm drinks and imaginative art-making. Set in a charming Copenhagen café turned creative studio for the night, you’ll begin with a tasting of traditional Danish **gløgg** (mulled wine) in all its variations—red, white, spiced, and even alcohol-free. With guidance from a local flavor-maker, you’ll get the chance to create your own personalized blend using classic Scandinavian spices and garnishes. Once your mug is filled with your perfect concoction, settle into a candlelit workspace stocked with vintage magazines, colorful papers, fabrics, and other tactile treasures. A collage artist will guide the group through a meditative cut-and-paste flow where you’ll create a visual piece rooted in seasonal themes like winter coziness, Copenhagen memories, or dream landscapes. Whether you come with friends or on your own, this cozy and creative evening will leave you inspired, relaxed, and ready for winter.
Solo travellers: casual hangout in Copenhagen (4pm)
Solo travellers: casual hangout in Copenhagen (4pm)
**No pressure, no plan—just new friends** ✨ Whether you’re visiting Copenhagen for the first time, recently relocated, or simply love connecting with curious people, this weekly meetup is the perfect way to share stories, make friends, and go explore, as a group, the magic that Copenhagen has to offer 🇩🇰 **What to expect?** • **Casual & hostless**: no formal host, no schedule: just show up, be yourself, meet fellow solo travellers & expats and decide as a group where you feel like going • **Central meeting point**: it is surrounded by cultural landmarks, cafes, and restaurants, making it a convenient and safe starting point. • **Open to everyone**: whether you are a local, an expat or just passing through for a few days, you are welcome to join. (English is the primary language, but feel free to switch of course) **How to talk with strangers?** (and create meaningful connections) To help you get started, I curated a little game of **[ridiculously good questions](https://www.pierrebonvalot.com/theblog?p=285a9711d7df80d5ac25dd4ef8fe5394&pm=c)** you can ask to break the ice, shift the conversation from dull to intriguing and fun, and eventually create meaningful connection quickly. I hope this helps! **The only things you need to do are…** • Leave a message in the comment section to let the others know that you will actually be there (I don’t want you to end up alone there :) • If you can’t make it anymore, no problem! But please update your RSVP to let the others know • Please be gentle and patient with each other. We all want to make good friends here. **Why join?** • Meet open-minded travellers and locals who are keen to connect, learn and have fun together. • Experience Copenhagen... as a group. • Be part of a global community that celebrates solo travelling and meaningful connections between foreign and locals. **How does it works?** 1\. Arrive at the meeting spot at the scheduled time\. 2\. Look for other joiners—friendly faces and curious explorers\. 3\. Introduce yourself\, connect with others\, and decide as a group where to go\. **When & where?** • Day: every Sunday • Time: 4:00 PM (meetup sometimes displays a different time zone: but it’s always 4pm local time) • Location: in front of the Søren Kierkegaard statue **Hostless**: I am setting up the event for you all to meet, but I won't be there myself this time :) **Hi my name is Pierre** I created this Meetup group because I want to see more human connection happen in the real world. I feel many of us want this, but don't exactly know how to go about it. I hope this helps a little bit. I also work as a transformational coach: I help people who feel stuck in their life to reconnect with themselves, create real change and ultimately live more fulfilling lives. 🔗 bento.me/pierrebonvalot
Cozy social Saturday afternoon run/jog/walk
Cozy social Saturday afternoon run/jog/walk
Come join us for an afternoon run/jog/walk. We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in “about us”. How it works: we don’t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize. All happens outside, so you need spare warm clothes for after the trail! Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 14:30. Don’t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 20 to 50 people) just show up. Four-legged friends are welcome! We never cancel. See you there!
