Bxl Night Hiking - New Year’s Edition
**Overview**
An experience - not a tour! Join us for an exciting night hike through the Brussels outdoors on Jan 8, 2025 at 7:00 PM!
**What’s this about?**
Come explore the unseen side of Brussels - on foot, at night.
This isn’t just a hike. It’s a shift in pace, a change in rhythm, and a chance to experience nature in a way most people don’t. Who knows what we’ll discover in the dark?
**What to Expect**
• A 10km hike on forest trails with gentle elevation (approx. 150-250m gain)
• Around 2.5 hours on the trail, after sunset
• A loop route that brings us back to our starting point
• A moderate pace - you should be in okay to decent shape and have some recent hiking/walking experience.

• Clothing suitable for the weather
• Headlamp or flashlight (required)

‘Raised in the Hungarian countryside, I learned sewing, crochet and traditional bead weaving. Jewellery being my main interest, I especially liked bead weaving. This passion has always been with me.
Since I have been living in Belgium, the African style fascinates me as much as the Hungarian folk style.
With my work, which manifests itself under the brand name Tulipane Design, I would like to offer a delicate mixture of Eastern Europe and Africa.
The designs are created and woven bead by bead. It is a work of patience and a kind of meditation: the beads take time to be woven.
Through my childhood trauma with an abusive father, I realised that creating is a crucial activity to find my balance and well-being and I think I am not alone with this. That's why my goal is not only to share my creations with other women but also to contribute to a social impact. Tulipane Design contributes with 1€/jewel sold to the Domestic Violence Centre in Belgium.’

**Gathering in community is an essential part of being human.** When we sing, share, play, dance, hold rituals, eat together… We move beyond dogma. The Gathering is about the simple yet radical choice to gently ease open our hearts and trust the voice of love to guide the way.

The Gathering takes place in Brussels once or twice a month on a Sunday afternoon. Starting with a **singing circle** and a moment of **contemplation**, participants then choose between **practices exploring different aspects of connection - to self, to other, and to life**. **We will ask participants during the afternoon to contribute consciously and according to their means. However, money should not prevent anyone who wants to join, to be able to join.**
How would you like to contribute? There are infinite ways to share your gifts, from helping with the costs, to helping with the set up, to guiding a practice, to cooking a group meal... And if you don’t feel like you are able to contribute anything right now, you are still welcome.
