This is our first ML Dublin Meetup for quite a while now and we are delighted to be partnering again with Bank of Ireland. This meetup is part of Dublin Tech week and hosted in the Bank of Ireland branch in the Grand Canal area (beside the Bord Gais Energy Theatre). **AI Economy Ireland** (evening event focused on Ireland’s evolving AI economy, innovation, and ecosystem). We kick off at 4.45pm and finish up at 6.45pm. We will have speakers from IBM and from Trinity College: **Dr Baidyanath Biswas** is an Associate Professor in Business Analytics at Trinity Business School. Before joining Trinity, he was an Assistant Professor at the DCU Business School, Ireland. Baidyanath's research focuses on business analytics, cybersecurity and IT risk management. His work has appeared in several reputed management journals. Baidyanath is passionate about teaching and has teaching experience at the undergraduate and masters levels. Before joining academia, Baidyanath worked for nine years with Infosys and IBM as a mainframe and DB2 specialist. He will present the key findings from the recently published report (in collaboration with Microsoft): AI Economy in Ireland 2026, AI Adoption Index: Benchmarking and Impact Places are limited to 70 and will be on a first come first served. An ashram retreat day is a day to nourish the body, calm the mind and get in touch with your true self. The day comprises of spiritual practices from the Yogic path, a combination of gentle Hatha Yoga and various types of meditation and reflection, under guidance. Everyone is welcome and no experience necessary. The yogic path offers us practical ways of growing in spiritual awareness in a chaotic world, to open oneself to union with the Divine, with people and with the natural world. A day retreat at Anam Ashram aims to help participants in the practice of the asanas (Hatha Yoga), contemplation in action (karma yoga), bhakti yoga (union through devotion) and jnana yoga (union through knowledge e.g. wisdom teachings from the mystics or scriptures). We'll meet at **Mayor Square** at **15:00**, outside Cool Hand, where we can grab a coffee before we set off. After taking some time around the square and the north side of the Liffey, we'll cross either the Sean O'Casey or Samuel Beckett bridge, and walk along the south of the river. Our end goal is to get to Grand Canal Square, which should provide an excellent opportunity for urban landscapes and architecture photography. There are also quite a few options for food and drinks in the area, so we can end our walk in a pub restaurant. Over the last two years, Intercom migrated to Snowflake and rebuilt our data foundations from the ground up, creating a trusted, high-quality layer of core data models. But we realized that great data is only useful if people can actually use it. In this session, the Intercom Data team will share how we are moving up the value chain—going beyond static dashboards to build intelligent, interactive tools that empower our GTM teams. **The Agenda:** **Breaking the SQL Barrier: Scaling Insights with Claude & Snowflake** Even with perfect data models, the "SQL Wall" often forces business leaders to wait in a queue for answers. We’ll demonstrate how we used Claude Code and Snowflake MCPs to remove this bottleneck, allowing non-technical users to query our Data Warehouse directly and create sharable artifacts of their analysis. See how we combined strict governance with an AI interface to turn "data tickets" into instant, self-serve answers. **From Insight to Action: Building 'Cockpit' on Snowflake Container Services** While chat enables exploration, some workflows require action. We will pull back the curtain on Cockpit, a full-stack application built by our Data Science team to help Relationship Managers optimize customer outcomes. Learn how we used AI-assisted coding ("vibe coding") to build the app and Snowpark Container Services to deploy it—proving that Data teams can build powerful software, not just reports. **From Idea to Real-Time Fraud Detection in Snowflake ML** In this session we’ll build a real-time fraud detection service end-to-end inside Snowflake. Starting from a natural language idea, we’ll use AI-assisted development to generate synthetic transaction data, explore patterns, and train an ML fraud model with Snowflake ML. We’ll then deploy it to Snowpark Container Services and expose a low-latency REST endpoint for live transaction scoring. **An evening for over-givers** I asked the people who follow my work: "What's harder for you: giving or receiving?" The answers came back almost identical. Giving is easy. Receiving doesn't always come naturally. People described it as a burden, a debt, an awkwardness, a thing they'd been taught they had to earn first. One person said, "It's safer not to want." Most of us were trained to be *over-developed givers* and under-developed receivers, and we live the rest of our lives slightly off-balance because of it. The Relating Lab is a 105-minute group session to explore this topic, guided by a psychologist. **Who this is for** * You can give for hours. Receiving for five minutes feels strange. * When someone gives you something, you feel like you owe them something back. * You don't always know what you actually want. * You notice yourself trying to be worthy of the good things in your life. * You wish for more affection in your friendships without awkwardness. * You suspect that the way you were taught about love and worth in childhood is still running quietly in the background. **What we'll do** * A guided meditation on a recent moment when receiving felt hard * Paired work with a simple exercise that can change how you understand every interaction in your life. * A closing sound bath where you receive together. * A closing circle. **What this is not** This is not therapy. Not a workshop you'll have to perform at. Not a "share your trauma" circle. Just come as you are and give this topic the time it deserves. *Your only task is to **receive**. Not to deserve it. This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. **How does a TennisColumbus Season / League run?** The league advertises the season dates and builds a queue of committed players for the season. **Kickoff Day - June 10th** The start day of the season, players are sent a kickoff email that contains important information about the league, the link where your league standings and players contact information. We guarantee 6 playing partners at your playing level, but have been averaging closer to 15+ partners in most cities. The number of different levels we run is solely based upon the number of players enrolled for the league kickoff. Typically we are running a Skilled-3.0, Competitive-3.5 and Advanced-4.0 in most cities. **Your Task - "Flexible Scheduling"** After this kickoff email is sent, it is the **player's task to communicate with other players**. Players should work with their partners to find an agreeable time and location to play the match. While TennisColumbus doesn't mandate your playing schedule, it is recommended that players schedule at least one match per week. By request of the players, we started to allow players to play 1 rematch per season. The regular season is all about playing as much as you can. As of Feb. 10, 2026 we've had an amazing 2,017 players play more than [20 matches in a season](https://www.tenniscolumbus.com/info/MatchesInSeason). **Where to Play?** Play at your local free tennis courts, tennis parks, condo courts or tennis clubs. The league strongly suggests that players jointly try to pick a tennis court location convenient to both. We provide an extensive list of [tennis courts](https://www.tenniscolumbus.com/TennisCourts), including # of courts, lighting, hitting walls, etc. We strive to keep this list up-to-date. TennisColumbus sets up a must play dates to push players out on the courts. The final deadline is the date marking the end of the season, at which point players with 3-5 wins (Actually total is specified on the division page) will qualify for a post-season playoff to determine the league champion. **How to Play?** Players can use three mostly standard playing formats: 2 out of 3 sets, 2 sets with 10 point super tie-breaker or the 10-game pro set (First to 10, used when court time is limited). On Feb. 2018, we added Fast Tennis 4 game pro set format as a valid format. **Playoffs** Each season concludes with a playoffs where players with anywhere from 3 to 5 season wins qualifies for a single elimination tourney.
