Soy originario de América Latina, y he vivido, trabajado y estudiado en Nueva York, Londres y Barcelona. Además, soy un artista profesional que trabaja en varias disciplinas. Durante mis 9 años de estancia en Londres, quise llevar mi gran experiencia en las artes y terapia corporal y psicología al siguiente nivel. Backstory Talks: Julie Carr in conversation with Emily McBride
We are pleased to welcome the American poet and writer Julie Carr to Barcelona to read from *The Garden*, the first book in the trilogy titled *Overflow.* **She will be joined in conversation by Emily McBride.**
*The Garden* is dedicated to two seminal figures in Carr’s life: the painter Tony Robbin, who paints four-dimensional space, and the theoretical physicist, feminist, and philosopher, Karen River Barad. Through a spirited series of fractured and interwoven narratives, *The Garden* reorients themes of time, war, Jewishness, memory, techno-biology, friendship, and grief. This work of essay-auto-fiction embraces the porous vulnerability of beings appearing in the overflow, the violence and rapture of the ongoing “now.”

**Emily McBride** is a Canadian-born editor, writer, and translator living in Barcelona. Her debut novel *Queen Mab* will be published by FSG this summer, with a Catalan edition also forthcoming from Angle Editorial.

**Come join us to enjoy and share a session inspired by yoga and the energy of the lunar cycle.**
Each week, we explore a different practice that aligns with the current moon phase (for example, Full Moon: gratitude; Waning Moon: letting go…)
The heart of the session is the yoga practice, but we also include a deep meditation of at least 10 minutes, and we close the session with therapeutic writing or artistic expression as a way to integrate the experience.
We are a small group of up to eight people, creating a safe and open space where, through the body and movement, we gently move closer to self-awareness and inner peace.

About
I absolutely love creating intuitive collages with people! It is an accessible and beautiful art form that is easy, efficient, fun and expressive. To create an intuitive collage, we simply cut out, glue and assemble various images to create a brand new picture. It does not need to make rational sense - it's all about letting go and allowing our intuition to guide us.
Collage therapy involves the free-associative choosing of imagery and words, and recycling. Because collage is a projective technique, creating without preconceived intentions allows us to tap into our unconscious thoughts and emotions.
The practical benefits of collage are:
* Collages are easy to create, and no artistic skills are required.
The emotional benefits of collage are:
* Intuitive collage bypasses our censoring mind and can surprise us with new information about our inner life.
* It provides a "symbolic release" of emotions, even if we are not yet conscious of what they are.
* Collage can help us to "meet" and accept the inner parts of ourselves that we do not normally express from our socialized self.
* It expresses the various aspects of our personality in visual form, helping us to understand, organize and sort out our "inner landscape" so that we can witness it compassionately.
* The imagery and colors in an intuitive collage can reveal emotions more powerfully than verbal self-expression. We can FEEL imagery on nonverbal levels.

Hi, I'm Valentina - an artist, Creative Art Therapist, yoga, dance, and pilates teacher. Originally from Latin America, I've lived in New York, London, and now Barcelona for a while. I draw inspiration from traveling and sharing the art-making process with people to help them expand their creative potential. Un sendero que conecta dos de los pueblos costeros más emblemáticos: **Garraf y Sitges**, combinando la esencia del Mediterráneo en cada paso.
Desde el inicio, el camino nos sorprende con una mezcla perfecta de **montaña y mar**, un contraste que convierte esta ruta en una experiencia única. Pasaremos por **senderos de bosque**, tramos de **piedra**, y una subida inicial un poco empinada pero totalmente asequible, donde podremos contemplar la magnitud de la cantera.
A medida que avanzamos, el paisaje se abre para mostrarnos **viñedos**, **olivares** y llanuras que mezclan tradición y naturaleza. Y como guinda del recorrido, llegaremos a la **Ermita de la Trinitat**, desde donde disfrutaremos de unas **vistas espectaculares del Mediterráneo y del Garraf**.

\- A Smart\-guided Short One\-way Loop Bikeway Tour
Short One-way Loop (SOL) in Columbus on bikeways. The smart-guided tour is mostly through scenic riverside parks with a quick downtown peek. All of that in 10 miles!
83% of the route is bikeway, and the rest is Google Maps designated "bicycle-friendly roads". This short ride passes through several beautiful riverside parks. Passing through downtown the route runs alongside Huntington Park baseball stadium, Nationwide Arena hockey stadium, near North Market (worth a stop if you enjoy markets with lots of tasty treats), within a few blocks of the state capitol, convention center, art museum, center of science and industry, several first-class hotels, and much more (see Points of Interest list below).
Easily, anywhere along the way, the tour can be detoured to nearby points of interest. This smart-guided route comes with CycleNuts' 50% downhill guarantee. Sweating is optional. If your bike has gears, you might use them to climb in a few spots. All bikes are appropriate for this smart-guided tour (even a single-speed if you do not mind walking your bike up the spots mentioned). The route is shaded about 50% of the way. Making care packages for unhoused folks
We're collaborating with Westerville Queer Collective to gather supplies and pack care packages. Head over to their event page to [register](https://www.meetup.com/meetup-group-wroejsfn/events/312453970/) officially.
We’ll be assembling care packages with food, warm weather supplies, recreational items like books, and resource guides for local unhoused folks. Packages will then be delivered to HEER2SERVE, local nonprofit that has weekly “serves”, when they go out into local encampment areas and deliver needed items and food. Our care packages will be a part of that.
WQC will supply containers and food items for the care packages. So this time we are primarily focusing on gathering donations for keeping warm, including up to 50 of the following items:
Clean or new socks, hats, scarves and gloves
Handwarmers
Sanitizing wipes
Lighters
You are welcome to contribute items or just come and help pack. Leave a comment if you are bringing donations. We can also accept money donations through WQC.

**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
