D.A.D.S. Workout
If youâre a dad over 35, you probably feel it:
* Your energy isnât what it used to be.
* Work stress drains you before you even get home.
* The weight has crept on around the middle.
* Your kids still have endless energy, but keeping up with them feels harder every year.
And deep down, you know your family looks to you as the example. If youâre running on empty, short on patience, and out of shape, thatâs the standard you set at home.
The **D.A.D.S. Program (Dads Achieving Discipline & Strength)** was built for men like you. Ordinary guys with jobs, families, and full schedules who want to:
* **Reclaim strength** so you feel capable, athletic, and confident again.
* **Boost energy** so youâre sharp at work and fully present with your family.
* **Drop the aches, stiffness, and sluggishness** that make you feel older than you are.
* **Find balance and accountability** by training alongside other dads in the same fight.
* **Crush male loneliness** by connecting with men who âget itâ and have your back.
Hereâs the best part: You donât need to be a seasoned gym rat. This is designed for **beginner to intermediate exercisers**âdads who may have been out of the gym for years or have never had a structured program, but know itâs time to get serious.
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings, weâre hosting **Meet-Up Workouts from 6:00â6:45 AM.** No strings attached. Just one powerful hour that could be the turning point in your health, energy, and family life.
There are only **8 spots available**, and once theyâre gone, theyâre gone.
Location: Revolutionary Fitness - 215 N. Payne St., Alexandria, Va 22314
Every Monday, Wednesday, & Friday from 6:00â6:45 AM
To claim your spot, call/text 703-783-2316 or email sign up directly at [https://go.thefitrevolution.com/dads](https://go.thefitrevolution.com/dads)
Stop putting yourself last. Take this hour, and give your family the stronger, sharper, healthier version of you.
When is Foreign Intervention Justified?
## Details
**Location:** **Crimson Whiskey Bar (Downstairs Bar, Not Rooftop)**
The purpose of Thinkers and Drinkers is to facilitate casual but meaningful and interesting conversations with other people in a face-to-face setting. The topics cover a wide variety of issues and are different for every meeting. While conversations may get heated at times, we ask that all members be respectful of each other and refrain from personal insults.
# **Topic: When is Foreign Intervention Justified?**
Just three days into the new year, the US launched an operation that captured President Maduro of Venezuela and brought him back to the US to stand trial. This occurred in a time when most Americans, regardless of party affiliation, are against getting involved in another foreign war, with memories of Iraq still fresh in their minds.
While it may be too soon to definitely judge the consequences of this intervention, there are many examples of foreign interventions by both the US and other countries in the last century. Some of which were more successful than others. The US intervention in the Gulf War (1991) to liberate Kuwait is considered to have been a quick, decisive victory that was very popular in both the US and Kuwait itself.
Other intervention examples by countries include:
* USA invasion of Iraq (*2003-2011*)
* Soviet invasion of Afghanistan (*1979-1989*)
* French intervention in Mali civil conflict (*2013-present*)
* Chinese intervention in the Korean War (*1950-1953*)
* Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia to overthrow Khmer Rouge (*1978-1989*)
* USA intervention in Vietnam War (*1965-1973*)
* Indian intervention in Bangladesh independence war (*1971*)
* Cuban intervention in Angola civil war (*1975-1991*)
* South African intervention in Angola civil war (*1975-1988*)
* Russian intervention in Syria civil war (*2015-present*)
* Saudi-led intervention in Yemen civil war (*2015-present*)
* USA support for coup in Chile against Allende (*1973*)
* Soviet suppression of Hungarian Revolution (*1956*)
* USA intervention in Dominican Republic (*1965*)
* Turkish intervention in Syria civil war (*2016-present*)
# **Questions to Consider**
* How much should human rights affect the decision to intervene?
* Is intervening based on ideological grounds warranted?
* How important is maintaining international law on intervention?
* Should we differentiate between direct military action and covert (CIA-like) operations to topple governments?
* Should security and economic interests be the deciding factor?

Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.**
How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently?
Then we will go into a topic discussion.

**COMMUNITY AGREEMENTS**
\*\*THERE WILL BE A ZERO TOLERANCE POLICY FOR NO-SHOWS. IF YOU RSVP TO A MEETING AND FAIL TO SHOW UP WITHOUT NOTICE, YOU'LL BE REMOVED FROM THE GROUP. THIS IS TO PRESERVE THE INTEGRITY OF THE GROUP\*\*
1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group.
2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every manâs truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every manâs perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another.
3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up.
4. Speak from the heart - this is NOT a space to âlook goodâ, have the ârightâ answers, and have it all together. Relax and know you are not alone. Be exactly who you are within the safety of this space.
5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each otherâs lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable.

If something unavoidable comes up, please update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With very few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1 week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve.
THANK YOU: This CMG Gives Back event provides an opportunity for YOU to get involved in helping others! Benefits go well beyond the help we give to others. Volunteering provides a wide range of personal benefits, including positive effects on mental and physical health, reduced stress/depression/anxiety, increased happiness and improved purpose, life-satisfaction and personal well-being! Plus, the opportunity to get involved, connect with others and help those in need.
