Run+B-fast
Hi Running fellows,
Whether you’re a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us!
Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast.
Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too.
What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the “running” part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :)
We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, we’re off to breakfast!
Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45.
We are a fun group of runners who don’t take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier.
Typically we are 10-30 people, as not everyone who comes signs up on meetup.
Important disclaimer: Please only run as much as you feel you can, considering the temperature, weather conditions, your own fitness etc... run and walk at your own pace as the organizers do not assume any liability for any injuries or health issues. Sonia, Adrian, Ali, Paul and Liz
Open Dialogue – Discovering Together in Vienna
We will meet in a calm and friendly place ( Parc, Café, Restaurant) to explore together some of Jiddu Krishnamurti’s key questions about awareness, relationship, and freedom.
There will be no teaching, no authority — only open dialogue and attentive listening.
Everyone is welcome, whether you are familiar with Krishnamurti or simply curious about life and self-understanding.
We’ll start with an open conversation around a theme such as “Listening without judgment” or “Can thought bring clarity?”
Please bring openness, curiosity, and a readiness to listen — no books or notes needed.
The spirit is not to discuss “what should be,” but to observe together “what is.”
Tango Argentino Focused Práctica for all levels
**Focused Práctica for all levels –** *Free for participants of the full Tango Basics Course and the semester/yearly subscription to theTango Immersion Program.*
Looking for a space to practice Tango Argentino with intention? The Focused Prácticas are open practice gatherings for dancers of all levels, whether you’re just starting out, deepening your foundations, or refining more advanced skills.
Each práctica begins with a suggested focus and a short guided exercise to help you get started — you're welcome to follow it or do your own, no structure imposed. From there, you’re free to practice at your own rhythm.
**You’re welcome to:**
Train individual technique or work in pairs
Practice the role(s) of your choice – Most regular attendants practice both
Explore what you want for as long as you like
Repeat, research, and integrate what you’re currently learning — wherever that may be
This is not a class, and not a milonga.
It’s a space for mindful practice, curiosity, and experimentation.
There's plenty of room for those who want to practice navigation in ronda or something else on a fixed spot without disturbing each other's process.
You don’t need to attend my classes to join, the Focused Prácticas are open to all backgrounds.
**Here you can expect:**
A welcoming, respectful atmosphere
Space to focus without pressure
Supportive presence if questions arise
Freedom to choose what you want to work on
Socializing and exchanging feedback with others is welcome; consent and respecting each person’s process is the base.
When I'm traveling, the Focused Prácticas are hosted by Justina.

Meet and Draw
Let’s meet to draw, drink coffee, and connect! ☕️🎨
For this meetup, I invite you to create a card with your motto for the new year. It can be a quote, a phrase, or even just a single word.

Social Book Club - Fantasy Circle - A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking
Welcome to the "Fantasy and Historical Fiction" Reading Circle of the Social Book Club!
We will meet to discuss **T. Kingfisher's** fantasy novel **"A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking"** (306 pages).
The meeting point is at JO&JOE on the 5th floor. Drinks and some food can be bought there, so if possible please buy something for reasons of politeness, if you can afford it, since they provide the space for free.
Book Description:
*Fourteen-year-old Mona isn’t like the wizards charged with defending the city. She can’t control lightning or speak to water. Her familiar is a sourdough starter and her magic only works on bread. She has a comfortable life in her aunt’s bakery making gingerbread men dance.*
*But Mona’s life is turned upside down when she finds a dead body on the bakery floor. An assassin is stalking the streets of Mona’s city, preying on magic folk, and it appears that Mona is his next target. And in an embattled city suddenly bereft of wizards, the assassin may be the least of Mona’s worries…*

Shut Up & Write!® - Sundays at Café Pierre
Come write with us at Cafe Pierre every Sunday at 18:00-20:00!
A message from Shut Up & Write: "Shut Up & Write hosts free, in-person and online writing events for writers all over the world. Our goal is to ensure that every writer—regardless of genre or skill level—has access to the resources, community, and accountability that they need to be successful in their personal writing goals."
And what this looks like at our event: We chat and give short introductions to what we are working on at 18:00, then start writing at 18:15. Though we try to start on dot, being late isn't a problem—just find a spot and get to work! We write until 20:00 and then discuss how our writing went. From fiction to non-fiction, academic papers to poetry, applications to work-related writing—anything goes! Nothing is needed except for you to bring whatever is need to get stuff done, i.e. laptop, headphones, pen and paper, and so on.
Optional socialising may happen before 18:00 and after 20:00, or you may choose to use this time to get some more done! Please do order something from the café (drink, meal, dessert, etc.) so as to keep us in their good graces!
Sprachen Cafe: German / English / Italian / Spanish / French
**Note:** We are meeting outside again as the first one was very successful. There is also a picnic in the nearby location so we may try to learn languages while having fun and learning sports vocabulary. Bring a blanket to sit on and water and snacks if you like.
This is a **free** event.
Are you ready to practise your language skills?
If you want to meet new friends (or the same friends you met at our other events) and practice all the languages you can speak, join us for a fun-filled evening!
During this event, you have the chance to choose a Group and talk to people in:
1. **English**
2. **German**
3. **Italian**
4. **Spanish**
5. **French**
Our most important rule:

The Inner Pilgrimage - A Meaningful Start into 2026
## **A Contemplative Retreat for Inner Peace and Strength for a Demanding Life**
### As one year quietly fades…
and another gently approaches…
there’s often a subtle pull inside.
A sense…
that we don’t want to fall back
into the same old rhythms,
the familiar patterns,
the expectations that no longer feel alive.
Something in us wants to begin differently —
more consciously,
more meaningfully.
And for many of us,
after years of building,
achieving,
and doing everything we once hoped for…
another question begins to whisper underneath it all:
**What truly matters now?**
When the striving softens,
and the world finally grows quiet…
a deeper longing rises.
Not for more to accomplish.
Not for more to manage.
But for something real.
Something that feels like truth.
**The Inner Pilgrimage** is for these exact moments —
when freedom feels strangely heavy,
when the old tools no longer bring clarity,
when the next step is no longer outward…
but inward.
It isn’t about resolutions.
It isn’t about goals.
It isn’t about pushing harder.
It’s about listening again.
It’s about coming home to yourself before the year unfolds.
It’s about giving yourself a gentle, meaningful inner boost —
so you can begin 2026 grounded, clear, aligned…
and quietly connected to what truly matters.
### **Essence**
In a world that constantly asks for more —
more effort,
more speed,
more responsibility —
this weekend offers a simple invitation:
Pause.
Breathe.
Come home.
**The Inner Pilgrimage** is not a journey outward.
It is a soft descent inward —
into stillness,
into presence,
into the quiet clarity that has been waiting beneath the noise.
You won’t be traveling far.
But you may return changed.
This is a space to rest.
To listen.
To rediscover the strength and peace within you
that daily life so easily consumes.
> The most meaningful journeys are not those that take us far away,
> but those that bring us deeply home.
## **Program Overview**
The morning begins slowly.
A settling.
A gentle arriving into your body, your breath, your presence.
* A welcome into stillness
* A quiet talk: *What does it mean to walk a pilgrimage of the soul?*
* Guided inner reflection: *Where am I on my path right now*
* Time for journaling, sensing, or resting
* A soft morning of wordless presence — a Vigil of Stillness
Short lunch break,
softened…
opened…
ready for a different kind of listening.
###
The afternoon continues in quiet.
Not with effort,
but with ease.
* A meditation
* A talk: *Coming home — living from what you discovered*
* A gentle dialogue circle or short reflective moments
* Tea shared in silence
* Time for integration, writing, or contemplation
* A symbolic closing ritual
* Ending the day in silence, presence, and gratitude
You return to your life
not with pressure,
but with clarity…
with strength…
with a renewed sense of direction from within.
### **Atmosphere**
Soft.
Unhurried.
Warm.
Human.
A space where silence isn’t empty —
it’s full of something deeper.
A space where you don’t have to perform,
pretend,
or hold yourself together.
Just be.
As you are.
Light, healthy snacks will be offered
as a small act of *mindful feasting* —
simple, nourishing, grounding.
Nothing loud.
Nothing forced.
Just presence,
warmth,
and the quiet company of others
walking their own inner path.

The Big Speed Friending ⭐ (BINGO EDITION; indoors)
--
**UPDATE: this time we'll still do our usual format of group conversation. The new Bingo concept we're excited about, is taking more time to develop, but stay tuned for next time! Also, we're indoors at a new location (Jo&Joe's 5th floor, see itinerary).**
Are you ready to mingle and make new friends?
A YouTuber visited us and made [this 3-minute video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eG1dYro4u8) 😃👌
**"How does it work?"**
We'll talk in small groups and change every \~10 minutes. After an hour we'll let you mingle freely (and exchange contact info if you like).
**"10 minutes, is that enough to make a new friend?**"
It's enough to see who you vibe with. As one of you said: "There were 4 people I really vibed with. I took their contact info, and I met them for coffee in the following days."
**"Can I bring friends?"**
Great idea! 😃
**"Can I give you feedback about the event?"**
Yes, keep the ideas coming!
**"Give me some great conversation starters!"**

ADVANCED badminton players wanted!
Thank you for visiting this event page!
* Are you an advanced badminton player? If yes - WELCOME!
* The earlier you sign up, the bigger your chance to reserve a place - once 9 other players have signed up already, you move to the waiting list.
* Once the waiting list has 3 or more members, I will try to book an additional court, but no guarantees.
I need to close the registration 24h before the event as I will then have to decide whether to cancel any court due to a shortage of players. You can still contact me if you want to play though.
The fee per player will be €10.00 for 2 hours as the cost of both shuttles and court bookings have increased. But this should now cover also shuttles used during play.
Please be on time as a curtesy to the other players. In addition, if you are on the players' list and don't come (i.e. no show), you will be automatically excluded from this group.

Sip & Read: *Founder Edition* Meetup: "The 5AM Club" by Robin Sharma
Calling all founders, CEOs, lawyers, doctors, and entrepreneurs to join our special *Founder Edition* of Sip & Read meetup event. Let's sip on fine wine and discuss our first book **The 5AM Club- Own Your Morning Elevate Your Life, by Robin Sharma**. We will pair this book with our favorite wine at **Wine on High** and engage in thought-provoking discussions on startup businesses and entrepreneurship, and network with like-minded individuals in a cozy book club setting.
*The 5AM Club* by Robin Sharma explores how waking up early and following a structured morning routine can dramatically improve productivity, mindset, and overall life mastery. Through a blend of storytelling and practical frameworks, it teaches high performers how to build discipline, focus, and long-term success by owning the first hour of the day.
Come prepared to discuss this month's book. At the end of each book club meeting, we will take next book and venue suggestions from the participants for the next meeting.
Whether you are a book lover, women entrepreneur, or a content creator, this event is perfect for sharing ideas and insights with other funders and founders in the entrepreneurial world. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to connect, learn, and grow together. Sign up now to reserve your spot!
*Fun fact! This meetup was established in 2015 and had over 1,000 members. I had to shut down operations while attending law school, but we're back!!*

The Next Chapter: Looking Back, Leaning Forward, A WIA Vision Circle
As we step into a new year, many of us are carrying lessons, practices, and questions shaped by the year behind us.
The Next Chapter: Looking Back, Leaning Forward is a warm, facilitated vision circle designed to help us pause together, reflect on what truly worked, and imagine what we want to carry forward into what comes next.
This is not a talk or presentation.
It’s a small, participatory gathering focused on shared reflection, sense-making, and connection.
**Together, we’ll explore:**
* What supported you over the past year — in your work, leadership, or life
* What you’re ready to leave behind
* What you want next January’s version of yourself to be saying
To support reflection in different ways, we’ll also have optional art materials available for anyone who would like to create a simple artifact for their year — a visual or tactile reminder of what they’re carrying forward.
We’ll provide basic art supplies such as colored pencils, markers, paint pens, and small canvases. If you enjoy working with collage or other media, you’re warmly invited to bring magazines, stickers, or your favorite creative materials to use or share. Participation in the creative portion is completely optional.
You don’t need a plan, goals, or polished answers. Curiosity, honesty, and listening are more than enough.
The intention is for everyone to leave feeling grounded, refreshed, and inspired — with a clearer sense of what matters to them and how we can support one another as a community.
Space is intentionally limited to keep the experience intimate.
⸻
