Hello! We're Badger Badger: a pub, restaurant and board game café in Deptford, South East London, just 5 minutes on the train from London Bridge. We run Queer Board Games Social nights each and every Thursday, and would love for you to come down and get involved! There will be stickers for names & pronouns. We also run a first-come, first-served RPG alongside the socials, perfect for folks interested in exploring RPGs - come early to grab your seat! We're located here in the Cinema (which can be found on the 3rd floor of the Mercury Mall Shopping Centre) on: * **Tuesdays & Thursdays**: From 17:30 to 22:00. * **Saturdays**: From 12:00 to 22:00 🦁 And we're still running every Monday 6pm to 11pm at the Golden Lion Pub too. 🌭☕ There are hot & cold food & drink options available from the cinema at low prices! The cinema has been very generous to us by bringing us into their space & our way of showing our gratitude is by sending some business their way. And their menu is surprisingly cheap! Come and play board games Join us for tabletop board and card games. Thursday nights are aimed at those with some experience of modern boardgames, and we tend to play more complicated games - anyone who is completely new, or mainly interested in olaying lighter games, should try to come on Mondays. We always try to make sure that someone is happy to teach the games and welcome new people on the night, so don't worry if you're not sure what to play or who to sit with. Please arrive by 18:45 in time for everyone to get into groups and chat for the main games to start at 19:00. The event will take place on Sunday 25 January 2026 at Kings Arms near London Waterloo. Join us to play Mafia games and nominate your awards candidates! Mafia is a 10-player social game, competitive, easy to learn, and played at multiple tables. Each player gets a secret role and works with their team to win. Games last about 45 minutes, so we play many during the day. The **Mafia team** tries to hide and eliminate the **Citizens**, while the **Citizens** try to find the Mafia through deduction and logic. We always have first-time players and explain everything. No experience needed. While this is a beginner-friendly game, we also host tournaments and online events with players from around the world. The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations. 
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus. 
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn. 
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play. 
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders… 
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords… 
IMPORTANT: 
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for. 
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.
