I WRITE – A Silent Writing Club (Just You & Your Words)
I WRITE – A Silent Writing Club (Just You & Your Words)
Welcome to **I WRITE**, a gentle space for anyone who wants to write—quietly, freely, and without judgement. We are a Berlin community of writers who gather together weekly to write, talk and recharge after a long week. Some of us journal, some write novels, some do academic writing, many people come without a project in mind and see where the inspiration flow takes them. This is a space to simply show up and write, a safe place to be yourself and to release all your layers onto the paper. There’s no set topic, no feedback circle, and no pressure. Just warm people, a calm atmosphere, and time dedicated to yourself. 🗓️ **Agenda:** * 14:30 - 15:00 **→** 30 min arriving, optional socialising (arrive early, meet other writers) * 15:00 - 16:00 **→** 1 hour of silent writing (headphones welcome, focus encouraged) * 16:00–16:30 **→** 30 mins break + optional chat or solo time (stay and chat or go celebrate the rest of your Saturday) * 16:30–17:30 → 1 more hour of silent writing (for those staying) * 17:30–18:00 → 30 mins of chat, and leaving 🎒 **Bring:** * Something to write with (laptop, notebook, phone, typewriter… anything goes) * Something to drink (there is no cafeteria, unfortunately) * Your current project or a blank page * Yourself, exactly as you are **👉 Responsibility:** * Our location is limited; thus, I am kindly asking you to RSVP only if you are willing to attend. **📍Location:** * We meet at **Heinrich Schulz Library in Charlottenburg**. In the library, go look for the Gruppenraum; I will be waiting for you there. Any trouble finding the room, I will come to meet you outside. * 🚇 U7 **Richard-Wagner-Platz** * 🚌 M45 Bus **U Richard-Wagner-Platz** **About me:** Hi, my name is Anastasia. I started this writing club back in May 2025. Since then, it has been hosted weekly at the Heinrich Schulz Library (who is kind enough to allow us to use this room for free). Over this time, I’ve been privileged to meet some of the most creative and kind minds in Berlin. And I would be happy if you joined us. Whether you're an experienced writer or just at the beginning of your journey, you're welcome. If you know how to hold a pen or how to type, there will always be a space for you. Let's write together!
Kreative Schreibwerkstatt in Charlottenburg (14:30 Uhr!)
Kreative Schreibwerkstatt in Charlottenburg (14:30 Uhr!)
Around the Hobrechtsfelde Savannah (12 km hike)
Around the Hobrechtsfelde Savannah (12 km hike)
Let's walk through the grassy grounds around Hobrechtsfelde! The land around Hobrechtsfelde was used for more than 100 years for the - nowadays weirdly sounding - combination of septic drainage and agriculture. These times are gone now and the area have been renaturated and is used now for various ecological projects. On the dry grassy grounds scattered with bushes and trees, cattle and Konik horses are roaming. Through gates, it is possible for visitors to walk through these areas. A bit to the north is the Schönower Heide. This area was once used as military training ground and is marked by the very sandy ground which only allows sparse vegetation. We'll meet on Saturday at 11:48 at the S-Bahn station Zepernick on the S2 line. From there ... * ... we'll walk through to village Hobrechtsfelde * walk a round though the surrounding area and cross the meadows and possibly meet some animals * walk through the Schönower Heide We will finish our hike at the S-Bahn station Buch which is also on the S2 line. The hike will be about 12 km long. The area has many things to see and discover, so its also possible to slightly deviate from the route and browse a bit. Important things to note: * This is an easy hike with a relatively long distance. Thus, you should wear suitable shoes. Expect some muddy grounds. * You are all responsible for yourself. None of us is mountain guide or something like that. * There won't be too many Späties along the route, so have enough water and food with you. * Please note that the number of participants is limited, because at a certain size a group gets virtually unmanageable. As the demand may be higher than the number of available spots, please be fair and only RSVP if you are sure that you can make it. If you learn later that you cannot take part, please update your RSVP accordingly.

Come along, grab a coffee, shut up, and write! We will do at least two sessions of each 45 minutes of writing and two breaks. We will start the first writing session at 11:15. **For space reasons, we are limited to a certain number of attendees, so please update your RSVP if you can't come**. We often have a large waiting list, and not updating your RSVP or not showing up if you do RSVP yes means that others miss out. We also ask that if you do change your RSVP, do it with reasonable notice. Thanks! We typically take over all of the cafe, but try to share tables if you can to allow space for other customers. If you are new, come and say hello, as we know that suddenly going quiet for 45 minutes and staring at that blank page can be intimidating when it's your first time. We have a lot of long-term regulars who will be happy to help you feel welcome. In between sessions, we have a Telegram chat: https://t.me/joinchat/ERW3pxD5kfELGeWs9SUhjw For more information, visit [https://shutupwrite.com](https://shutupwrite.com/).
Silent Reading / Creating Club at W66 (Saturday) [Luma to RSVP]
Silent Reading / Creating Club at W66 (Saturday) [Luma to RSVP]
RSVP on Luma: https://luma.com/2axg6eyy Silent Reading / Creating Club is a gathering for people who enjoy focusing together in public. Bring a book, a notebook, a sketchpad, knitting needles — whatever you’d like to spend a quiet hour with. All projects and all participants are welcome. This year is about creating more — quietly, consistently, imperfectly — and shaping environments that support that. If you’re building something of your own, you’re especially welcome here. We’re building a community of readers and creators who value depth, presence, and shared silence. The magic isn’t just in the quiet hour — it’s in the people who return and make it feel like a familiar room. (Please RSVP “yes” only if you can make it, so we can save a seat for you and others on the waitlist.) This quiet ritual unfolds at **W66 Café**. There’s no entrance fee, but please order at least one item from the café and don’t bring outside drinks 🙂 No assignments. No pressure. No productivity race. Just a shared hour of intentional silence, followed by relaxed conversation. 🕰 Our Agenda **10:30 – 11:00** Arrivals, ordering drinks/food, light social time **11:00 – 12:00** The Great Quiet Hour (Read. Write. Sketch. Code. Think. Sit.) **12:00 – 12:30** Optional socializing — share what you were reading or creating, or simply continue in quiet focus. ## **🏡 House Guidelines** To keep this space calm and welcoming for everyone: • Silence during the focus hour (no calls or conversations) • Phones on silent mode • If using a laptop, please avoid meetings or audio — headphones welcome • Arrive before 11:00 if possible to minimize disruptions

Quick-Sketch Nature Walk along Grunewaldsee
Quick-Sketch Nature Walk along Grunewaldsee
***Get ready to explore the beauty of nature on a quick sketch walk - no art skills needed, just your creativity and love for the outdoors!*** **To join this trip, you need to purchase your ticket from link below 👇🏽:** [https://quick-sketch-grunewaldsee-15mar2026.eventbrite.de](https://quick-sketch-grunewaldsee-15mar2026.eventbrite.de) ### **WHY GO?** * Join us, the afternoon of Sunday, the 15th of March the König-Louise-Straße Bus Stop near the Waldbaude Snack Bar (Clayallee 91, 14195 Berlin). We’ll be meeting up with fellow ***Sketchers & Artists*** to practice our ***quick sketching skills while enjoying nature,*** we’ll be walking a short ***2-3 kilometers*** into Grunewald, and along the Grunewaldsee. Nature is slowly waking up from its winter slumber, with moss, ivy and pine being the primary shades of green you’ll see. We’re taking this opportunity to do a series of ***quick sketches focused on shading***. You can draw what you choose, or even bring a camera to do some photography as well. As the trees are mostly still without their leaves, ***we’ll be focusing on details like moss covered logs, small wooden bridges, a sandbar along the lake and reeds growing at the lake shore***. You will also have the opportunity to sketch a scene of the ***Jagdschloos Grunewald***, seen best from across the lake due to ongoing construction. * If this is your first time sketching or 100th time sketching, you can find subjects that are right for you. ***You don’t need to be a professional at all!*** You should just want to practice your sketching skills while meeting new people, and hopefully sketching a bit better than you did the day before. * If this is your first time to Grunewaldsee, please be aware many locals have their dogs off leash in the area. * We will be stopping to do multiple 15 min sketches with the goal of improving our quick sketching skills. ***Quick sketching is a foundational sketching skill*** that seeks to simplify a scene while communicating the necessary details for a viewer to see and feel a scene or detail. This weekend, we’ll be focusing especially on the art of shading, and how it can be used to add a little extra pop to our sketches. These are sketching skills that can be applied across artistic mediums. * Bring your preferred drawing medium for short ***quick sketches***, and meet up with fellow nature sketchers. There are benches in the area, but you may wish to bring a small chair or cushion to make things more comfortable. * The drawings are purely for fun, and to get to know other artists and hobbyists in the area! * (This meet-up does *not* include entry to the Jagdschloos Grunewald) * Join us at 13:00 at the König-Louise-Straße Bus Stop (115, X10, N10, X83) near the Waldbaude Snack Bar (Clayallee 91, 14195 Berlin) with our host - Elizabeth, we’ll get to know one another and then set out as a group to sketch along the Grunewaldsee, it’s an out-and-back route along a lake with several opportunities for sketching, conversation and relaxing. We will sketch from 13:00-16:00 and then return to our meeting spot. ### 📲 Stay Connected Please do join our **WhatsApp / Telegram channels** for: * Event updates * Future trips & meetups * Early-bird discounts * Contests & giveaways 1. We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!
