## ✍️ Week 2 – Creative Writing Session *This event is part of The Creative Act Circle series.* In a calm, focused atmosphere, we gather to write. The location will be announced soon — most likely we will meet in a library, creating a quiet and inspiring environment for reflection. You’re welcome to write about anything that feels alive for you — a personal theme, an open question, a piece for your blog, or something that has been waiting to be expressed. If you prefer structure, I will offer guided prompts to help you move gently from reflection into language. Through writing and shared reflection, you may gain: • Mental clarity • Integration of recent insights • A sense of inner completion We don’t aim for conclusions. We aim for awareness.

We are going to be seated together at **the big table on the 1st floor** of the cafe. As always, we will do **two sessions of each 45 minutes** of writing with **one break of 15 minutes** in-between. We are making reservation and counting on you to show up, so please register only when you are going to be there, don't forget to update your RSVP if you can't come. Unfortunately cafes in Berlin are getting less and less laptop-friendly, please don't forget to order your drink or snack to support the cafe which will have us. Shut-Up & Write Zehlendorf meets Fridays, except during school holidays, following the standard format of 15 minutes to say hello, followed by two 45 minute writing sessions and a break in between. The location is a cozy coworking space, which means it's quite peaceful, with no music playing or customers chatting around us. On the International Day of Poetry, we’re meeting in the Rosengarten at Bürgerpark Pankow to write and share poetry together — in a simple, grounded way. No stage. No microphone. No pressure. This Sunday's hike starts in Briesen, a small town halfway between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder). It features lakes and (swampy) forests with a boardwalk, a water mill with a restaurant where we can stop for a break and swim if you're already up for it. Next is Neu-Madlitz with its palace and the oldest English landscape park in Brandenburg before we make our way back to Briesen through fields & forest. There might be an option for pizza stop in Briesen before taking the train back to Berlin! We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. Grab a cup of coffee from Winston's Coffee & Waffles or on your way to East Market and meet us on the second floor - table behind or east of the elevator. Per what this group is about: "Everyone is welcome! International transplants to Columbus who want to improve language skills, Columbus residents who want to discuss international travel and culture, and anyone who enjoys getting together for good conversations."

Join for a two mile hike at beautiful Blacklick Woods Metro Park leaving from the base of the canopy walk. This hike is mostly flat on gravel and paved trails. Come and enjoy another warm springing hike with us.

We'll meet at The Capital One Café, 167 Easton Town Center, Space A-103. This is in the main mall where the Microsoft store used to be, on your left if you're standing at the bottom of the AMC Theater escalator. Join us on Sunday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at noon on Sundays. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 12:00 - quick intros. 12:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 1:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 1-1:30ish. Writing is very solitary. Connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing. BEING LATE IS OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check-in with me after the session.
