The annual **Czech Police Day (Den Policie ČR)** is happening up at Letná park. The official event actually starts in the morning, but we are skipping the slow stuff and heading there just for the heavy-hitting afternoon highlights. We’re talking an **elite URNA tactical unit skydive**, a live **car crash simulation** with emergency vehicle cutting, and **a police helicopter landing right in front of us**! **Galaksia Praha 23** is holding **free trials** to **join** their **11-a-side and** **6-a-side football teams** for the 2026/2027 season. Galaksia's 11-a-side teams are competing in Czech League and PIBFAL and 6-a-side teams are competing in PKFL, PSMF Hanspaulka and PSMF Veteran leagues. These trials are completely free, just join the Meetup event and show up on the field at that date/time. The trials are starting at 12pm, but be sure to be there earlier, at 11:30am, so you can get ready, and we also can get your information prior to the trials to get started. NOTE THE TIME CHANGE TO 9AM Hi All, Come and join us for social running and a coffee! We meet at the main gate of Vystaviste - tram stop Vystaviste Holesovice. We will run in Stromovka. Usually we run around 50mins and it is up to everyone how many kilometres. We welcome all levels of runner. We can all run together or, if there is more of us, we can split into groups and at the end of the run we all meet close to the starting point to go for a coffee to a nice local coffee place (where they also sell cakes and great chocolate). If the weather is great, we can also just sit in one of the outside coffee placces in Stromovka and enjoy the sun. We're going back to Kook Dogg Cafe in Reston this Wednesday. It is a restaurant-type atmosphere with a good menu and less noise. Parking is free (for three hours), but it requires going through a gate. If the machine gives you a ticket, keep it in the car for when you leave. If the machine does NOT give you a ticket, but the gate simply opens, then it will do the same going out... so, no worries. The game starts at 7 but try to be there by 6:45 to pick categories. We’ll be getting in around 6:30, and anyone is welcome to join. We do tend to leave when the game finishes, but no one else has to. Team size is limited to 6, so only sign up if you can make it – and please remember to cancel as soon as possible If something changes. Look forward to seeing you!
