**For ages 13 and above.** Muay Thai is a striking based martial art and sport. Also known as “The Art of Eight Limbs”, it is characterised by the combined use of the fists, elbows, knees and shins. It is an ancient martial art of Thailand known for its tremendous power. **For ages 13 and above.** ***Teens Basketball (Ages 13-18) – “Elite Development”*** For teens looking to take their game to the next level, we focus on advanced skills, footwork, game strategy, and competitive play. This class includes structured training in shooting techniques, ball-handling, defense, and game IQ, preparing players for school teams, competitive leagues, and beyond. ***Adult Basketball (Ages 18+) – “Game Ready”*** Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player, our adult sessions provide skill development, fitness training, and competitive play. **For ages 4 and above.** Beginner classes will emphasize on fundamental skating techniques which will equip you with basic skills such as stopping, turning and speed control. Intermediate classes will tap onto the basics and expand the skills with diverse alternatives that will bring you to the next level of skating independently. Expert classes are for students with the bare minimum for outdoor skating and would like to take it to a higher level. There is no fixed number of classes for each level as we understand the learning rate of every individual varies. Some trained COUNT volunteers work together once a month at RMH (http://www.rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer.php) as Housewarmers (usually on the 1st Sunday from 1 – 5 PM). Some schedule other shifts at their convenience. You may try this out with less fuss by following a "Fast track" or go through the normal process. Fast track • Arrange a time to shadow a COUNT volunteer. Call Dave Nohle at 614-268-9558 (cell). • Show up and try it out. • Complete application, etc. later. Normal process • Complete an online application (http://rmhc-centralohio.org/volunteer/). • Attend orientation in advance. • At orientation you will complete forms agreeing to keep family/patient info private and allowing a background check and tour the facility. • Complete one training shift. Daily shifts are: morning 9 AM - 1 PM, afternoon 1 - 5 PM and evening 5 - 9 PM. • Schedule shifts online using the on the RMH scheduling system (http://www.volgistics.com/ex/portal.dll/?FROM=32895). The Ronald McDonald House (RMH) provides housing and meals for families with sick children. The Columbus RMH is the largest in the world with 137 rooms. COUNT has been volunteering there since May 2014. Housewarmers work with RMH guests to provide a home-like environment - greet, assist with family needs, answer phones, give tours, assist with checkin/checkout, prepare guest rooms after checkout, clean facility, laundry, restock supplies and staff the front desk. RMH Housewarmers volunteer at least one four-hour shift a month. All Housewarmers must complete an application and agree to a background check before they can be full fledged volunteers.

Monday December 29th at 6PM we'll be meeting up dinner at the Pies & Pints at Easton. Feel free to bring guests. Sandwiches run about $15 and large pizzas run $20-30.

Younkin Branch Library (Ashville) meeting space is now reserved for any and all interested in or enthused by playing a game of chess. The second Thursday of each month, 6:00pm to 7:50pm. First gathering is Thursday, May 11th. No fees. Chess sets provided; however, you may bring your own if you wish.
