I'll be waiting for you outside the MACBA (The Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art). From there, we'll take a walk to CCCB (The Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona), which has a café and co-working space. Once we get there, we'll ask for coffee/tea and get ready to embark on our creative journey! The art-making process will serve as a bridge for social and creative communication, and the theme will be centered around traveling and the things that make us vibrate. We'll start by using imagery, storytelling, and moving freely between drawing and writing to collage. We'll also work collaboratively, with each collaborator adding to a composition in sequence, allowing creativity to flow as we play. The main objective is self-expression, awakening creativity, having fun, and sharing a nice time together while colors and words come together to empower the artistic experience. I will guide you in the right direction to create something that you may have never thought of on your own, and you can take your own pace with art and bring it back home. The aim of this art workshop is to enhance your own creativity and self-expression. I will provide all the art materials, and the cost is 25 euros for a maximum of four people for a one-hour-long session. An individual session costs 40 euros. La proposta d'aquesta activitat és anar a un assaig de l'obra *“Nascuts lliures”* de la companyia La Conquesta del Pol Sud. L'obra, que aviat serà estrenada al Teatre Nacional de Catalunya (en el marc del Festival Grec), és un projecte escènic de teatre documental que posa al centre el concepte d'educació tractant de respondre la pregunta “Quins reptes afronta l'educació en el món d'avui ?" Vamos a tomar unas copas en el Salts arriba en el Montjuïc. Salts es una terraza bar situada en las piscinas municipales de Montjuïc, sede de los saltos de trampolín en las Olimpiadas de Barcelona 1992. Tiene una de las vistas más espectaculares de Barcelona. Para caminar juntos arriba nos quedamos a las 20:00 en Plaza España. El paseo durará 40 minutes aproximadamente. Si al final no vas a venir, por favor cancela tu asistencia. We will once again be teaching origami to the public at the Greater Columbus Arts Festival this coming weekend (Fri June 12th-Sun June 14th). We have a 10’x20’ tent and usually teach several hundred adults and children. ***Come join us if you are local*** \- reply to this email and let us know your availability\. **We are teaching SIMPLE, beginner models, so your skill level is not an issue.** Festival hours are: Fri 11 AM-9 PM, Sat 10 AM to 9 PM, Sun 10 AM to 5 PM, then we pack up. You are not expected to be there all day - whatever hours you want to teach are fine. We (Monica and I) will be there pretty much all hours as we are required to have the tent manned. If you want to assist with set up that is Thursday the 11th Noon to 2:30 We are in booth W728, which is on Washington Ave , between Rich and Main street bridges. This is the west side of the river in downtown. Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together. These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus. Details: Meet: 1160 N High St 9:30 AM meet 10:00 AM rollout All wheels welcome We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert. If you’ve been meaning to come out, this is a great place to start. Come solo or bring a friend!
