ZH3 Hash # 1731: Spitroast hash (is back!!!)
**SOLD OUT!!!!** * **What is Spitroast hash?** The hash formerly known as Spitroast hash returns this year under the mane of ... Spitroast hash. Join us, run, circle and eat. * **When is it?** *Saturday, 6th of June 2026 at 14:00* * **Where is the event taking place?** [Pfadiheim Holzwiese](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Dvtz4oQXn84JMa4u9) (no parking places available) * **Who is haring?** *Premature Cocksucker and other hashers.* * **Will I ruin myself?** NO! Pricing for **adult** pork lovers (includes snacks, drinks, all pork you can eat, and maybe sides): * **35 CHF/pp** early bird price until **May 17th** (*only bank transfer\**) * **40 CHF/pp** regular price until **June 5th** (*only bank transfer\**) * **45 CHF/pp** the **day of the event** (payment by cash, bank card or twint) Pricing for **kids** (includes fatty snacks, alcoholic drinks, pork, and many sweets / candies to keep your dentist happy): * **10 CHF/pp** at any time (bank transfer before June 6th or cash/TWINT/credit card the day of the event) Pricing for **run & circle only** (snacks & drinks only): * **5 CHF** * **How do I register?** **SOLD OUT!!!!** * **How many people can attend?** We can only guarantee pork & sides for a **max of** **35 people**. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further. • The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time. • There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change. • **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards. **Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?** If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it. 'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.* We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups. Together at Zurich National Animal Rights Day 2026 🐾
Together at Zurich National Animal Rights Day 2026 🐾
After a two-year pause, the National Animal Rights Day (NARD) (https://thenard.org/) is returning to Zürich! The NARD is a global day of remembrance and solidarity: a moment for people in cities around the world to come together, pause, and collectively acknowledge and commemorate the immense scale of animal suffering that takes place, largely out of sight, in our everyday world. It is also an affirmation that another way of living is possible. For many of us, such gatherings serve as a reminder of why we care, and that there exists a community that stands for the same principles. Alongside commemoration, it also includes a celebration of the progress that is being made towards reducing animal suffering. This is a **legally registered, peaceful demonstration** to stand up for animal rights. It’s **not** a disruptive or confrontational protest. The atmosphere is calm, respectful, and welcoming to everyone. 👥 ***Our Meetup Plan*** Going to an event like this on your own can feel intimidating and overwhelming 😬. It’s easy to feel unsure about where to stand, who to talk to, or whether you’ll end up alone in the crowd. That’s why we’re going together in a supportive, like-minded group of familiar faces to talk to, walk with, and share the energy of the day 💬🌱. Let's meet directly at **Züghusplatz at 13.45.** The demonstration takes place 14.00-16.00. If there is enough interest after, we can also go for a drink or food together. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- ❓***FAQ*** ***Do I need to be vegan to join?*** No. If you care about animals and believe they deserve compassion and protection, you’re welcome. Even if you're just curious, coming along can a novel chance to see what these kinds of demonstrations are really like, to hear what people around the world care about 🌍, and to reflect on where you stand. ***Is this one of those disruptive protests?*** No 🚫. The march is fully legal and registered with the city. ***I’m shy / quiet / not the activist type. Is this still for me?*** Yes. You don’t need to be loud, extroverted, or used to activism to take part. Just being there is already a meaningful act of solidarity. Note: I am not an official organiser of the demonstration, the original event posting can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/z%C3%BCghusplatz/zurich-national-animal-rights-day-2026/1721934025812727/ \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- If you're curious, open, and feel some pull toward this kind of new experience, come along 🌟. It can be meaningful, eye-opening, and fun 👣💬. Bring a friend, a family member, or just yourself. We hope to see you there. 💚 Join the WhatsApp group for easier coordination: https://chat.whatsapp.com/KbwSjAl4UOKFeVmoKHTXoE

Via ferrata in Mürren + optional Mürren city walk and look around
Via ferrata in Mürren + optional Mürren city walk and look around
A via ferrata is a protected, fixed-cable climbing route that allows people to traverse steep or difficult rocky terrain safely. These routes incorporate steel cables, rungs, ladders, and bridges, which serve as both climbing aids and continuous anchors for a special via ferrata safety set to clip into, blending the experience of hiking and rock climbing. We plan to do the Via Ferrata Mürren, a K3 ideal for beginners. This via ferrata features one short section (15m in length) of extreme exposure, where you are attached to a cliff face roughly 600 meters (2000 feet) off of the ground. This can be challenging, even if you do not have a fear of heights.
