Hungarian Election Analysis with Henry Olsen
The Hungarian election is looking like a dead heat. Will the opposition overturn 16 years of Fidesz dominance - or will Orbán make history as the most electorally successful postwar European leader? Henry Olsen is a highly respected American polling guru who has been doing field work in Hungary ahead of the election. He has been a frequent visitor to the country down the years. At this special event at the Danube Institute, he will present his findings, then be joined in conversation by a number of other luminaries. John O'Sullivan - former adviser to Margaret Thatcher. Ralph Schoelhammer - Professor of International Relations and host of Hammer Time podcast Calum Nicholson - Director of Research at the Danube Institute. Budapest Science Meetup – Április
Budapest Science Meetup – Április
*All the presentations are in Hungarian. Thanks for your understanding!* Fél évszázad után visszatért az emberiség a Holdhoz, miután az Artemis–2 négy űrhajósa kedden hajnalban elhaladt az égitest mellett. De miért lett újra érdekes a Hold? Pacher Tibor, a Puli Space Technologies vezetője elmondja.
Meditation (English)
Meditation (English)
Practice Buddhist meditation in the middle of Budapest! The meditation is suitable for beginners. Each regular meditation is guided and begins with a short introduction. (all together is about 30-40 minutes) Our regular Buddhist meditations have proven popular with people who want to integrate authentic Buddhist methods into their daily lives. For the modern lay person who is juggling work, relationships, and an active role in society, we teach a meditation that is easy to learn, and profound and powerful for experienced practitioners. The meditation originates from the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It has a cumulative effect on mind, leading to greater clarity and calmness. Fearlessness, joy, and active compassion are the result of regular practice of Buddhist meditation. * Do I need any special clothing? No special clothing needed. * Does the attendance cost anything? No, the meditation is free.
Pranayama & Meditation 19:00/EN
Pranayama & Meditation 19:00/EN
In this session, we dive into Pranayama, (an ancient practice to discover the flow of energy within) and the power of conscious breathing, which is one of the most important aspects of the original yogic lifestyle. On these Tuesday evenings, we do more than just a breathwork session: this is an opportunity to explore a true harmony between our breath & the mind - body connection. We begin with a 15-minute chest-opening yoga sequence to gently expand our lungs and prepare for deeper breathing (no need for gym clothes though, just an open mind). Then, we explore different breathing techniques designed for self-awareness, relaxation, and energy flow. These classes are designed to help you discover how breath can be a tool to balance, energize, and center yourself. To close, we immerse in a short yet profound "silent concert", a meditative sound journey where 174 Hz sound waves or white noise guide us into a state of deep harmony. Whether emotions are light or heavy, thoughts are clear or clouded, this is a space to simply be and find some peace.

#7 Female Networking ☕ Let's talk about money, investment and owning our power
#7 Female Networking ☕ Let's talk about money, investment and owning our power
Most professional events feel like a job interview. Most social hangouts feel like aimless small talk. **We are here to do the opposite!** 🌟 WHY JOIN? At the **Women’s Coffee Network**, we offer a non-traditional experience where you don't have to fight for your voice, perfect an elevator pitch, or navigate a room of strangers alone. We created this circle because **we don't believe in the hustle; we believe in the power of a steady anchor.** This is a facilitated experience, not just a meeting. We don’t just book a table; we curate a journey. Working with the precision of a designer and the empathy of a coach, we’ve built this soft sanctuary where **the superficial is skipped** and **the high-fidelity connection begins**. We're here to share personal stories and build professional alliances. WHO IS THIS FOR? * 🎀 It's a **female-only community** because we have our unique way to express ourselves, struggles in the business world, and jokes only other women can understand. * 🎀 If the idea of a meetup with 50 people makes you want to stay home, this circle is for you! We gather in **small, intimate groups** — to meet enough new people to have a deep conversation, but not so many that you feel anxious or overwhelmed. * 🎀 Whether you are leading a corporation, building a creative empire, or navigating the quiet uncertainty of a career transition, you have a seat at our table. The **diversity of professional backgrounds** makes our circle special with shared wisdom. * 🎀 Our **soft-flow dialogue** ensures that no bravery is required to be heard. You don’t have to be the loudest in the room to be the most impactful. Here, your silence is respected, and your voice is gently invited. HOW TO JOIN US? [Reserve your seat in less than a minute](https://luma.com/mwb10eo1) 👈 🔗 Link also pinned in the comments for easy mobile access. We believe the best conversations happen in small groups. To keep our soft landing atmosphere, we host only 8–10 women at a time. Once you apply through Luma, we’ll review your profile to maintain our safe, female-only professional circle and confirm your spot within 48 hours. *Note: No charges are finalized until your seat at the table is confirmed! 💜* **What's included?** The support fee for this edition is **€15**, which includes: * ⚓️ 2 hours of expert-led facilitation and curated dialogue * ☕ Your first coffee or tea (so you can simply arrive and settle in) * 🏠 Exclusive access to our private Facebook community * 💜 Supporting our work to create steady anchors for professional women * 🎫 All platform and transaction fees are also included. WHAT TO EXPECT? * A **guided start** where every woman is seen and heard. You introduce yourself saying whatever you feel like sharing in a way that is comfortable to you. * We use our **custom-designed materials** to move past titles and discover the humans behind the roles. * A **verified circle** of women where you can be professionally ambitious and personally vulnerable at the same time. * Leave with **full batteries**, meaningful new professional bridges, and the support of women who truly *get it*. **If you feel called to create real connection in Budapest within a female-only community, we can’t wait to welcome you.** 💜 👉 [To secure your spot, please register here](https://luma.com/mwb10eo1) \-\-\- Follow us on [LinkedIn ](https://www.linkedin.com/groups/17220029/)\| [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/womenscoffeenetwork/?hl=es) \| [Facebook](https://www.facebook.com/womenscoffeenetworkglobal) to see the atmosphere of our gatherings and get a daily dose of grounding.

Money, Mindset & Connection for Professional Women in Budapest
Money, Mindset & Connection for Professional Women in Budapest
We don’t shy away from the 'M' word at our table. Normalizing conversations about money is how we empower our circle — whether that’s exploring how to make your wealth work for you while you sleep, navigating the hurdles of investing, or sharing the financial challenges unique to women. These topics deserve a safe, casual space. Because real empowerment isn’t just a mindset; it’s about having the tools to fund your freedom. We’re here to bypass surface-level networking and dive into the things the corporate world often ignores. COME JOIN US IF YOU'RE * **Building your Budapest circle**, weather you're a local or a newcomer (expat), ready to make this city feel like home. * **Hungry for high-fidelity connections** that go deeper than a business card. * **Eager to swap stories** with women who see the world differently than you do. * **Looking for your people** and a supportive space where you can be inspired and offer a hand to others. THIS IS HOW IT WORKS **We discover the city’s hidden gems together.** Once you register, you’ll receive the secret location for our gathering. **You’ll be greeted with a warm welcome hug** **and your first coffee (or tea) is on us**. We keep our groups intimate to ensure real conversation. With the help of a facilitator and our custom cards, we open the door to insights you won't find anywhere else. **No pressure, just presence.** You can stay quiet and listen, or share your wisdom with the group. You only share what you’re comfortable with. When the gathering ends, the connection continues, and you’ll be invited to our private community to keep the chemistry going. WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT We know the algorithm loves loud, party-style events, but we believe in the power of the intimate and the intentional. We are here for the women who want to be seen, heard, and truly connected. 👉 Take your seat at our table.[ Register here](https://luma.com/mwb10eo1) \-\-\- *This group is part of the Women's Coffee Network. Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations. If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!). **HOW IT WORKS** **Step 1: Bring a topic** Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event. **Step 2: Circle up & share** We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds. **Step 3: Walk, talk & float** We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!" **Step 4: Feel more alive** Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times. *For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)* **HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC** A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about. Recent topics include: * "What are you passionate about right now?" * "What makes a good friend?" * "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?" * "How do you want to be remembered?" * "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?" Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter. **WHAT TO EXPECT** This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.* But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here. **FAQ** * Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk! * We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space. * We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space. * Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know. * Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic! **LOGISTICS** * If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event. * This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs. * Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details. * If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋 **IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER...** [The Board](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board) is the next step: a high-trust collective for renaissance people devoted to creating, connecting, and building lives that light us up. * This is a global HQ for people who crave big talk, deep connection, and dream collaborations with people across industries. If the walks feel like a spark... The Board is the fire. Apply [here](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board).

Hike Blacklick Woods and The Canopy. Optional lunch after.
Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in! We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind. If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.
