Hi, everyone! We are going on an easy spring hike **to Ferdinand Warte (from Palt near the Danube)**. Expect to see the Marillengärten with apricot blossom, a blooming natural spectacle. The hike is about **14 km long** with roughly 400 meters of elevation gain. It's forecasted to be partially **sunny with 10°C, and 25% change of rain**. Please **wear** appropriate **clothing** for the weather. **👋 Meeting:** * **In Vienna with Gina:** We will meet at **11:05** at the Wien Westbahnhof Train Station (start of platform 3). Take train CJX5 to St Polten at 11:18. And then transfer to train R44 at 12:06 to Palt arriving there at 12:36. Start of the hike from Palt Bhf at around 12:40. * **In Linz with Chris:** We will meet at **11:00** at the Linz Main Train Station (Linz Hbf). Take train to St Polten. And then transfer to train R44 at 12:06 to Palt arriving there at 12:36. Hi Running fellows, Whether you’re a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us! Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast. Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too. What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :) We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. We thought of one of the interesting things that can be enjoyed at this time of the year. We will be meeting at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a "Fish Fry" in Marian Hall on Friday, March 27th at 5:00 PM. It might be fun for you to experience what has become a tradition on the Fridays before Easter. They will have fried fish or baked fish, French fries and Cole slaw, as well as beverages, all for $16.00 for adults. They will have other beverages and desserts available for sale, as well. We have never tried this, and sometimes there are quite a few people at these events so we hope that we will be able to find each other easily. I'll try to have signs outside Marian Hall that Identify our group. We hope to have you join us!
