What's up Friends! đ
â©Ready for some bouldering fun? Boulder-what? đ€ Itâs climbing (FR: escalade, le bloc) up to 4.5m high without ropesâand in my case, without much hope! đâš
Itâs a super fun indoor activity, but be warned: it does require a certain level of physical fitness and/or skill. Most importantly, though, it requires awesome companyâwhich weâve got! đâš
The Idea:
đ Meeting Point: For those arriving at 14:00, weâll meet at the cafeteria (next to the billiards table).
Feel free to start earlier or laterâjust drop me a message or write in the group chat so we can meet up.
đȘ Stay & climb as long as you want - venue closes at midnight!
đ„€ Recharge: If youâve had enough climbing for the day (we usually do this after 2 hours of climbing), we may head back to the cafeteria (or to the rooftop if it's sunnyđ€ïž) for snacks, drinks & games. Cafeteria closes at 22:00.

Freedom, Safety, Risk & Reward
How are the dynamics of freedom, safety, risk and reward all interrelated?
Is it simply a question of how we can always maximize both freedom and reward?
What roles do risk and safety/security play in this system?
Can freedom and security be considered simply both as rewards, each with its own values and merits?
Are freedom and safety (not) nevertheless zero-sum related, more of one entailing less of the other?
How are freedom and risk-taking related?
Does risk-taking (not) by definition always mean less security?
The concept of risk can mean:
1)the probability of something bad occurring ("frequency") and/or
2)how bad that bad thing can be ("amplitude")
What implications do each of these two different types of risk carry regarding both freedom and security?
How are freedom, risk and recklessness interrelated?
What does the concept "freedom to make the best choices" mean?
Is individual freedom at the expense of safety (not) over-prioritized in our current world culture (possibly in some regional cultures more than in others)?
Or, seemingly contrarily, is our culture/society in fact overly-obsessed about safety?
Is it true (or not) that risk-taking always leads to greater potential reward?
Is risk-taking nowadays - possibly as a result of (and/or to promote) capitalist culture? - (not) _ethically_ overvalued?
Are some regional cultures in today's world more reward-driven (for example, to become rich, glamorous, famous and powerful) than others? What should be our ideal culture/attitudes regarding rewards and the earning of rewards?
What values should we give to freedom, risk, reward and safety in a _war_ situation?
In our society/world, should there be _fewer_ or _more_ rules with regards to risk-taking, security and reward?

Cinema Flagey : Dreams
**Cinema Flagey : Dreams**
28/03 @ 17h20
**An aspiring dancer. A wealthy benefactor. And 'Dreams' turned to nightmare**
Franco is vague on specifics; he observes and implies more than he explains. One of the migrants is a young man named Fernando, played by Isaac HernĂĄndez, and he quickly separates himself from the others and makes his way toward San Francisco. There's determination as well as exhaustion in Fernando's stride, almost as if he knows exactly where he's going.
[...]
In a way, Dreams plays like a cruel B-side to Memory's more optimistic romance, and Chastain, so sympathetic in the earlier film, here swaps virtue for outright villainy. She's long been one of our most fearless actors, and she gives herself over, chillingly, to the role of Jennifer, a monstrous manipulator and exploiter of someone she claims to love.

Women's Circle: Walk around Arenberg
âA womenâs circle is a gathering of women, by women, and for women, to come together in a safe space and supportive environment without judgment.
We will share, listen, connect with our ourselves and our sisters. We might laugh, we might cry, we might share, we might just listen, but we come together with deep respect for one anotherâs journey, experience, and where we are at this moment in time to hold space for one another. To honor the sanctity and safety of the circle, we will create some guidelines for how we'll be together and what values we'll hold in our time together.
The women's circle invites you to be in your heart, for whatever may be needed in the moment.
This session will take us out into nature and enjoy a walk around the Arenberg campus. After the walk there will be a possibility to get drinks together.
**Meeting Point**: In front of the Arenberg Castle: https://maps.app.goo.gl/A88qXN6VzQSJNPH98
What to expect:
* 1.5-2 hrs hours of quality time for yourself, in the company of others.
* Please arrive between 5 minutes early so we can start on time
* We will enjoy a beautiful walk around the Arenberg campus. This is an easy walk of about 4 km.
What to bring and to know:
* Please bring comfortable shoes for walking and check the weather before hand to dress accordingly.
* If you have signed up but cannot make it after all, please cancel here on MeetUp, so we know not to expect you and so you can make that place available for another woman who may want to join.

**Day 2 â April 8** â Today, you will take a memorable tour of the Anne Frank House. Discover Amsterdamâs WWII history and follow in the footsteps of Anne Frank as she went into hiding in the Secret Annex. Jewish Anne Frank hid in 1942 from the Nazis during the occupation of the Netherlands; two years later, she was discovered and died in 1945 at the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Afterward, continue your cultural journey with a visit to the renowned Van Gogh Museum. Home to the worldâs largest collection of works by Vincent van Gogh, the museum offers a profound look into the artistâs life, featuring iconic paintings, sketches, and personal letters that reveal the struggles and brilliance behind his art.
**Day 3 â April 9** â FREE Day. Enjoy shopping throughout the city, or take a scenic bike ride through the countryside. Cycling in Amsterdam is the most authentic way to travel. There are around 515 km (320 miles) of dedicated cycle lanes in Amsterdam, making it the perfect setting to cycle the city or beyond. The countryside area is famous for its quaint villages, historic towns, farms, nature reserves, and lakes. You will have many opportunities to stop and take one-of-a-kind photos of the picturesque sights.
**Day 4 â April 10** â Your group will spend today at the famous Keukenhof Garden, known as the Garden of Europe. This is one of the worldâs largest flower gardens and is found to be the most beautiful in spring. Keukenhof Park covers an area of 32 hectares and has approximately 7 million flower bulbs planted annually. Make sure to have your camera ready to capture all of the vibrant colors and unique displays at the Keukenhof Garden! Transfer from Amsterdam to begin your adventure in The Hauge as the fun continues.
**Day 5 â April 11** â Begin your day with a walking tour of the Hague! Today you will visit notable sites include Binnenhof Court of Parliament, the Royal Palace Noordeinde and its lush gardens, and many local monuments. Have a free afternoon to explore on your own before joining your group to indulge in a delectable group dinner.
**Day 6 â April 12** â Day trip to Delft for a walking tour of this charming and historic Dutch town. Stroll along picturesque canals, cobbled streets, and tree-lined squares as you explore landmarks such as the Markt, the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church), and the Royal Delft pottery factory. Admire the townâs rich artistic heritage, famously tied to painter Johannes Vermeer, and soak in the tranquil atmosphere that defines Delftâs small-town charm. Enjoy a leisurely lunch at a local cafĂ© before returning by train to your accommodation in The Hague.
**Day 7 â April 13** â Depart The Hague via train for your return to Amsterdam. You will depart back to Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) for your connecting flight to the US. Your departure flight needs to leave after 12 pm to allow time to return to Amsterdam.
