Join the St. Augustine Society every Wednesday at 7:00 pm in St. Timothy Catholic Church's New Parish Hall for study on the Church Fathers! We'll read and discuss a chapter a week from the book: Reading the Church Fathers: A History of the Early Church and the Development of Doctrine by James Papandrea Email staugustinesociety@sttimothyparish.org for more information or if you have any questions. Sponsored by the St. Augustine Society, a 30's to 50's Catholic singles ministry based at St. Timothy's in Chantilly. We host weekly meetings on Wednesday on topics related to the Catholic faith and serve as both a fellowship meeting and a learning opportunity. Rockville Vegans will be picking up trash on the outside of Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary as part of their adopt-a-highway program. Poplar will provide all the supplies - gloves, bags, and visibility vests. We will be parking just inside the gate as you enter the farm property.

Come gather with us for a picnic at Downtown Crown's Crown Park. At this picnic you can bring food from home, or purchase something from one of the vegan friendly vendors at Downtown Crown or nearby. Some vegan-friendly businesses include &Pizza, Mezeh, The Crepe Shoppe, and Spice Life. Please make sure that the food you bring or purchase is vegan. While you do not need to be vegan to attend this event, we ask that you respect our group rules and only eat something with Rockville Vegans that is 100% vegan. Downtown Crown has outdoor seating; however, we recommend you bring a blanket and/or folding chair to ensure you have a place to sit. Please message or comment with any questions. Let's get together in a warm and open atmosphere to talk about ethical non-monogamy and how we actually do it. Ask for advice, give some in return, meet and mingle with your peers. Let's kick back and get to know each other and learn a few things. TOPIC: There's something so wonderful about the security of a lengthy relationship. But is there also something. . . a little smother-y? The location of our group will rotate between VA and MD. This week, we'll be in VA, at the home of our longest-serving host. FOOD: It's BBQ/picnic food season. I am beyond excited about the fresh tomatoes and peaches. Please consider bringing a vegetarian or vegan option; we do currently have active members who need these options. Cut-up fresh fruit is always great! If you don't feel like schlepping, we also always appreciate a donation. Please note: we share the address on the morning of the meeting, via the messaging/email system here.
