Daniela Maiullari van de TU Delft vertelt maandagavond 15 juni over de groeiende uitdaging van hittestress en legt uit hoe bomen in steden echt een verschil kunnen maken. Aan de hand van voorbeelden uit onderzoeksprojecten van de TU Delft behandelt ze monitoringtechnieken om stedelijke hitte te beoordelen en bespreekt ze de verkoelende werking van bomen. Ook presenteert dr. Maiullari de nieuwste inzichten over hoe bomen functioneren in stedelijke omgevingen en hoe groene planningsstrategieën – zoals de 3-30-300-regel – kunnen helpen bij het verminderen van stedelijke hitte.
