Moreover, we usually stand close to the bar. **Venue** 📍 **The Beer Bay** is an **outdoor kiosk/bar**, situated at the walkway between the Central Ferry Piers, at the ground level **entrance of Central Ferry Pier #4** (to Lamma Island). There's plenty of space to stand, and various places to get drinks. Usually lots of people in conversation, and an overall casual and relaxed atmosphere. In summer it can get hot and sweaty, and winter a bit cold, but drinks are refreshing and nothing beats that skyline! **Toilets** 🚻 There is a public toilet at the end of the piers near pier 2, or you could walk to the IFC shopping mall nearby. **Drinks** 🍺🍷🍹🥤 The Beer Bay serves refreshing alcoholic drinks, such as cold drafts, wine and plenty of mixers too. We'll walk five minutes from MTR station to the bus terminus to take 9:25 am No. 11 Bus and get off near Lantau South Police Station. In the morning, we'll swim at Upper Cheung Sha Beach, Lower Cheung Sha Beach (see photo album), Tong Fuk Beach and have lunch in Tong Fuk Village. We'll spend 30 to 45 minutes at each beach and walk to the next one. If you are a good swimmer. you can swim along the coast, but bring a waterproof bag carrying your stuff while swimming. Then you do not need to go back to take your things. **Important Notes:** *You must bring a floating aid. I suggest using a waterproof bag designed for water sports. You will need to keep all your belongings inside the bag and swim with it. *We will enter the water from the rocky area (as shown in the first photo of the album). Mind the Data Gap — Prize Ceremony & Winners’ Sharing** Speaker: Winning teams / participants Duration: around 15 minutes In our previous HKPUG workshop, participants worked in teams on a messy Hong Kong-inspired synthetic transport dataset. The data was intentionally corrupted with missing values, outliers, inconsistent categories, URL-encoded station names, confusing delimiters, and hidden signals. Teams had to clean the data and submit their work to a fixed black-box scorer to see whether their cleaning improved model performance. In this session, we will present the prizes and invite the winning teams / participants to share their approaches. We will cover: \- Prize ceremony for the workshop winners \- How participants approached the data cleaning challenge \- What kinds of hidden signals were found \- Common patterns and mistakes we observed \- What we learned from designing a gamified Python data workshop No model tuning. In this rapid-fire talk, Alex will uncover several Python-specific “lies”: late-bound lambdas in loops, mutable default arguments that remember previous calls, nested lists that secretly share the same rows, generators that disappear after one pass, the surprising meaning of for...else, and finally blocks that can rewrite a function’s ending. Each example begins with a short “guess the output” challenge, followed by an explanation of the Python behaviour hiding underneath. Things are not always what they seem. **3\. LEPAUTE Framework — FSD\-style Visual Perception with Lie Group Equivariant Attention** Speaker: Carson Duration: around 60 minutes LEPAUTE is a Python-based visual perception / machine learning framework originally motivated by Tesla FSD-style autonomous driving perception.
