** (FOC) TAMPINES ECO GREEN SUNSET WALK/ FIREFLIES & 'SPOOKY TOWER' NIGHT TOUR!
**FULLY BOOKED!**
Hi members, yes nature is thriving! So let's revisit some of those green places that we've not done for quite awhile.
**Tampines Eco Green** is a beautiful hidden eco-friendly park that offers a sanctuary for flora and fauna and a place for nature recreation. It's a paradise for birds to build their nests and you'll get to see the butterflies, dragonflies as well as squirrels roaming around freely in this natural park.
With various natural habitats such as open grasslands, freshwater wetlands and a secondary rainforest, the park is a haven for biodiversity and a great place for visitors to enjoy the best of nature.
Hiking trails within the park and a chance to walk barefoot during sunset on lovely carpet grass allows nature lovers to discover an array of flora and fauna and experience nature in all its glory.
From Tampines Mrt to Pasir Ris mangroves, rivers and parks, our nature lover TLC members will have a chance to enjoy the peace and serenity of the Eco Green Park with its un-spoilt marshlands, flora, fauna as well as listening to the chirping sounds of the beautiful birds that make this untouched natural park their home.
Our evening stroll also brings us through the scenic rivers and mangroves along Sungei Tampines and the mangroves where you'll get to see ***herons, egrets, kingfishers etc.*** hunting for fishes along the riverbank.
You'll also see the **2 rare cotton trees** where you'll have the chance to collect and bring home the cotton to fill your pillows if you like. :)
Thereafter let's enjoy the breeze and sunset at Pasir Ris Beach where we may get to catch a glimpse of the elusive owl before .... prepare for this huh ... heading to the **Spooky Haunted Tower** and mangroves for our fireflies tour (subject to weather conditions).
End point is at **Pasir Ris Hawker Centre** to have our dinner/ drinks with our new-found friends. This Food Court is near Pasir Ris MRT Station/ White Sands Mall.
*Note: Fireflies sightings not guaranteed as it depends on weather and other ideal conditions. High chances after a heavy thunderstorm.*

Living in Vietnam and Malaysia, with Ska
We had Ska l[ast year for one of our online meets](https://caravanserai.me/16jul2025), discussing her life in Danang. Ska is stopping by Singapore for a bit, and I'm meeting her to talk about travels and her experience of living and working as a remote digital professional in Malaysia and Vietnam. You are welcome to join us.
The meet location is near Arab Street.
Sunday Reading @ Chinatown (Whiskdom)
Welcome! Gist below! :-)
1. Bring a book to the meet!
2. Buy a drink (and a bite if you're hungry).
3. Say hi to the folks.
4. Read!
5. We'll do a short round of intros and a short sharing at the end too. :)
Come in and find us (we're probably the only reading group)! In the event that the place is full, we'll find a back up nearby. :-)
This is a limited seats, small group event, so do try to update your RSVP early if your plans change! Thanks in advance!

Two for Tuesdays Walk & Comedy crawl option
Before the comedy crawl, we’re starting Tuesday with **Two for Tuesdays**: a casual **social walk** designed to get people off the couch, **out of the house,** and actually doing something.
This is a relaxed group walk at a **social pace,** covering roughly **2–3 miles**. Nothing intense. No pressure. Just good conversation, a little movement, and a **better way to spend your Tuesday** than sitting at home **scrolling your phone.**
Then **after the walk,** we roll right into the **comedy crawl.**
This is what makes the night better: you don’t just show up for one event, awkwardly stand around, then leave.
You actually get time to **meet people,** loosen up, and **feel part of something** before the comedy even starts.
If you’re tired of wasting your weeknights at home, this is your sign.
**Spots are limited.**
**A paid ticket** helps us plan accurately, keep the group intentional, and make sure the people who RSVP actually show up.
Please use **ticket Link in comments** Preferred

**Expect a laid-back** But an Intentional 1 hour walk (2-3 miles), good people, and a better way to spend your Tuesday than staying home and doing the same thing you always do.
**If the weather does not cooperate, we’ll move indoors.**

Walk & Talk About Life's Big Questions
[The Board Walks](http://www.theboardwalks.com/) are for curious people who love deep conversations.
If that sounds like you, **bring a thoughtful topic** and join us for a 5-mile walk (10,000+ steps!).
**HOW IT WORKS**
**Step 1: Bring a topic**
Before you arrive, think of **one** topic you want to explore. A question. A thought that's been on your mind. An obsession you want to geek out on. This is your ticket to the event.
**Step 2: Circle up & share**
We gather in a circle. Your friendly walk host gives a speech to set the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you're grateful for, and your topic. That's it. 60 seconds.
**Step 3: Walk, talk & float**
We walk 5 miles. You naturally drift into conversation with 2-3 people at a time, pulled by topics that spark your curiosity. When you're ready to move on, just say: "I'm going to float!"
**Step 4: Feel more alive**
Two hours flies by. You're back where you started — but you feel different. More alive. More energized. More connected to yourself and others. That's why regulars join 20+ times.
*For more details, read our [Orientation Guide.](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation)*
**HOW TO BRING A GREAT TOPIC**
A great topic = something you're genuinely curious about.
Recent topics include:
* "What are you passionate about right now?"
* "What makes a good friend?"
* "What's a belief you used to hold that you've completely changed?"
* "How do you want to be remembered?"
* "What would you do if money wasn't a factor?"
Think of your topic like the dish you're bringing to our conversational potluck. If everyone brings an A+ dish (i.e. energizing, uplifting, expansive), we'll all walk away feeling lighter and brighter.
**WHAT TO EXPECT**
This isn't a fitness event with casual chitchat. It's a walking think tank where we explore life's big questions together, beyond small talk. *If you're looking for light banter or a standard networking event, this probably isn't the right fit.*
But if you crave depth, genuine connection, and conversations that make you feel alive? You'll love it here.
**FAQ**
* Wear casual athletic attire and sneakers. It's a long walk!
* We have multiple first-timers at each event. We work hard to create a welcoming, inclusive, clique-free space.
* We welcome people of **all** ages, backgrounds, and industries who align with the [intention](https://www.theboardwalks.com/ground-rules) of this space.
* Rain or shine, we've been out here nearly every week since July 2022. If the event is cancelled, we'll let you know.
* Dogs, babies in strollers, parents, and friends are welcome — please text/email them the event link so they can RSVP and prepare a topic!
**LOGISTICS**
* If you'll arrive over 10 minutes late, we suggest skipping the event. It's hard to find us once we start walking, and your host can't answer messages during the event.
* This walk is designed for everyone to *move together at the same steady pace* (about 20 min/mile). This format works best when the whole group moves in unison. If you have mobility limitations, we kindly encourage you to find an event better suited to your needs.
* Read our [Orientation Guide](https://www.theboardwalks.com/orientation) for full details.
* If you enjoy the event, send **[this](http://www.theboardwalks.com/)** to a friend or sign up for our **[newsletter](https://theboardwalks.beehiiv.com/)**. We're in multiple cities with more on the way. 🤠👋
**IF YOU WANT TO GO DEEPER...**
[The Board](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board) is the next step: a high-trust collective for renaissance people devoted to creating, connecting, and building lives that light us up.
* This is a global HQ for people who crave big talk, deep connection, and dream collaborations with people across industries. If the walks feel like a spark... The Board is the fire. Apply [here](https://stan.store/ellebeecher/p/the-board).
