Spring Term Sunday, 22nd March 2026 10am – 4pm *£95* Discover the joy of painting from life with watercolour — loose, fluid, and full of movement. Artist Caron Clarke will guide you every step of the way, ensuring a nurturing and supportive environment. This workshop dives into expressive portrait and figure painting in watercolour, working directly from a live model. Through demonstrations and guided exercises, you’ll explore how to let go of overworking and trust your eye, your hand, and the medium itself. Express your creativity drawing a live in-person life model each week. Beginners and all levels of ability welcome. The fee is £12 per session, cash on arrival or pay via phone. Whimsical collaging workshop led by art professionals to celebrate the Spring Equinox and welcome the new season. At the turning of the season —when light and dark briefly balance—we’ll gather for a slow, playful morning of cutting, layering, and assembling. This month we will be discussing **Frank Santoro**, an American cartoonist, painter, and comics critic known for his expressive lines, experimental page layouts, and vibrant use of color. His graphic novels—including *Storeyville*, *Pompeii*, and *Pittsburgh*—blend personal storytelling with innovative visual structure, often exploring memory, place, and relationships. In addition to his comics, Santoro has been an influential voice in comics education and criticism, co-founding the magazine *ComicsComics* and creating the **Santoro Correspondence Course for Comic Book Makers**, which has helped train and inspire a new generation of cartoonists. Afterwards, we will have time to work on our individual art projects, hang out, and if anyone is interested in feedback on their work, there will be time for that as well.

Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, March 25 at Streetlight Guild. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice.
