## Details **What is Toastmasters?** Toastmasters International is a nonprofit educational organization that’s been empowering people to become confident communicators and leaders since 1924. Worldwide, there are more than 266,000 members in over 14,200 clubs in 150 countries. In the Netherlands, there are over **40 clubs** across the country, including those in major cities such as Amsterdam, Utrecht, and Rotterdam. This network of clubs and their learn-by-doing program is sure to help you improve. Join us for a special Friday night improv drop-in with Iwan Dam, focusing on the playful overlap between improv theatre and musical theatre. This workshop is open to everyone and is a great way to explore musical improv in a relaxed, low-pressure setting. You do not need any acting or singing experience, and you definitely do not need to be a trained singer. Musical improv is about playfulness, connection, and storytelling first. The singing comes from supporting each other and committing to the moment, not from sounding perfect. Offroading ride in Diermen, Meerveld, Lunteren. Our usual easy "get back into riding" route. Meeting at 10am, will ride +-120km of a mixed road and offroad. The route is relatively easy and flat with moderate hardpacked sand stretches (unless rainy, then expect mud ;) ). We’ve started a new program called “Album Club”! The program is like a book club, but for music albums. The show is open to everyone, music experts, casual music lovers, or people who would like to discover new artists. Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 1:30 - 2:00, followed by dancing 2:00 - 430. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
