Designing & Building With AI (Beyond the Hype)
**Important:** * Please sign up on the following website to complete your sign up: https://uxdx.com/community/community-barcelona-2026-04-21/ An in-person series of meetups focused on helping product & engineering teams in Copenhagen bridge the gap between UX, Product, Design, and Dev, and to build better products faster, together. **Agenda:** 18:30 - 19:00 Opening and registration 19:00 - 19:15 Welcome from the UXDX Ambassadors and Manychat 19:15 - 19:45 Talk 1: [Glòria Langereo](https://www.linkedin.com/in/glorialangreo/), Senior Design Director at GitHub 19:45 - 20:15 Talk 2: [Greg Kozakiewicz](https://www.linkedin.com/in/gregkozakiewicz/), Director of Design at Oracle 20:15 - 20:45 Closing and networking ## **✨ Talks** **Talk by Glòria Langreo - What Breaks When AI Hits Real Product Workflows** A talk focused on the things that do not work smoothly in practice yet, like undocumented internal APIs, weak documentation, messy systems, and the gap between AI hype and what teams can actually use day to day. **Talk by Greg Kozakiewicz - Fast is Easy. Coherent is Hard.** Ai is making it faster and cheaper to build than ever before but speed without coherence is how products fall apart. This talk explores what actually changes for designers and design leaders when Ai enters the workflow at scale: not the tools, but the judgment, the responsibility, and the systems needed to keep products from fragmenting under velocity pressure. Using design systems as a concrete anchor, the talk makes the case that the designer's role isn't shrinking, it's shifting upstream, toward the decisions that Ai can't make on its own. Practical, honest, and beyond the hype. ## **About UXDX** UXDX helps teams shift from project based delivery to empowered, autonomous product teams. We host global conferences and over 150 free community events each year, bringing together UX, Product, Design and Development practitioners to share how real teams build better products faster.

**📅 Agenda** * 18:00-18:15. Check-in. * 18:15-18:30. Bienvenida de [Fotocasa Group](https://www.linkedin.com/company/inactivo-fcgroup). * 18:30-19:15. * 19:15-20:00. The Hardest Part of Software Isn't the Code with [Wellyson Freitas](https://www.linkedin.com/in/wellyfrs) (talk in english). * 20:00-21:00. Networking. * [Wellyson Freitas](https://www.linkedin.com/in/wellyfrs) Software engineer with experience building and operating systems in fintech environments such as Revolut and N26, focusing on complex integrations and real-world constraints. Writing code has never been easier, but building the right system is not. Engineers still face challenges like understanding unclear problems, collaborating across teams and organisations, aligning on decisions, and evolving systems under real-world constraints. This talk explores where this complexity comes from in practice and how to navigate it more effectively, focusing on the parts of software engineering that go beyond just writing code. **🏢 Dónde** Fotocasa Group: Ciutat de Granada\, 150\, Planta 9\,

Claude Code back to basics - 2nd Round
🎉 **We are repeating our First Event!** We're thrilled to announce that we will repeat the our first Claude Code Barcelona meetup! In this talk I share what I've learned from 6 months using Claude Code in real projects: the failure modes nobody talks about (context collapse, token-burning spirals, silent over-reliance), my actual setup and CLAUDE.md, and the principles I now live by. *Benjamin Tarenne, Senior Full Stack Software Engineer building products for Allianz and Claude Code Barcelona community co-organizer.* **AI Mythbusters: Debunking LinkedIn BS** From "AI is going to replace all devs", "AI already thinks" and "AI learns from your chats", to "with a RAG, AI will never hallucinate again" or "APIs are dead, long live MCPs", in this talk we'll do something highly disruptive in the tech industry: revisit some AI basic concepts. We'll go through some of the most persistent myths about artificial intelligence with no doomsaying, no hype, a hint of embarrassment in some cases, and something very old school but effective: evidence. Warning - You might leave with fewer certainties than you came in with. That's exactly the point. *Maite Malavia, Solutions Architect & AI Consultant partner at Zenital and Claude Code Barcelona community co-organizer.* *** **What to expect** This community is being built around solid engineering practices, not vibe coding. We want to explore what it really means to do agentic coding well, and how Claude Code fits into a professional engineering workflow. We have prepared some content around the basics of agentic coding and AI to get the conversation started, but we'd love to hear from you too! 👉 **Interested in presenting something?** If you have a topic, use case, or experience related to Claude Code and engineering practices, we'd love to have you on stage. Drop a comment below or reach out directly! ⚠️ **Spots are limited to 60 people**. We recommend reserving your spot as soon as possible. If you’re unable to attend, please let us know in advance so we can release your seat. Don't miss it! 🎉

Hands-On WordPress #1 — Build a Website Section with Gutenberg & FSE 🇬🇧
Want to build websites with WordPress the modern way? Come practice with us. We'll pick a section together — from a real website or a Figma file — and reproduce it using the WordPress block editor, working in pairs on our laptops. Small group, relaxed café setting. **What to bring:** * Your laptop with a working local WordPress install — we recommend [LocalWP](https://localwp.com/), it's free and takes 5 minutes to set up * A block theme activated (Twenty Twenty-Five works perfectly) **Some WordPress experience** — no Gutenberg or FSE knowledge needed Spots are limited to 6 — small group means better conversations and more personal attention. If you get stuck, someone will help. That's the whole point of meeting in person. 👉 **RSVP on Luma: [https://luma.com/cdd5cypq](https://luma.com/cdd5cypq)** *(Clicking "Going" on Meetup does not reserve your spot — please register on Luma to confirm your place)*

This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise. We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration. Whether you're new to AI or exploring how to scale your use of Copilot, this session will show you what's possible when agents work as a team. **YouTube Link** TBD
