Board Game Meet Up in Celbridge!
A weekly board game meet up in "Mc Mahon’s Bar and Eatery" which is a pub. We get our own section, it's wheelchair friendly and parking is free! 🙂
Whether you are new or a veteran player you are all are welcome!
General guidelines are:
1. Avoid handing drinks to people OVER a game.
2. We cannot take responsibility in the event of theft so keep your valuables close to you.
3. Strictly over 18+ only.
The "rules" would be:
1. Be respectful to each other.
2. Don't be a creep.
3. Be patient to players of all skill levels.
Failure to be a decent human being\* will jeopardise your participation in future events.
The pub owner is really nice and are letting us use the space so if you can - please buy a tea, coffee or a drink on the night to support them if you can but don't feel obligated to do so.
They also do food so you won't go hungry!
The event starts at 7 PM and everyone is free to play until 11 PM where we'll wrap it up for the cleaners.
Feel free to bring your games, join in on a game if there's space or organise a game here for the upcoming event to get participants. We advertise the games we want to play ahead of time on our discord server, so feel free to check it out. https://discord.gg/xW8WryXmKu
If you get lost or have any questions feel free to message me on WhatsApp at 0858405446.
Just a note for those coming by car from Dublin:
1. I highly recommend using the motorway then driving into the pub. There's a slightly faster way with the back roads but unless you are from the area its not worth the 2 minutes saved since it's barely lit and the bends are somewhat hazardous.
2. Traffic from 5 - 6:30 is horrendous but the roads are clear enough after this time.

Soldering Workshop (Engineers Week) – Build a Kit on the Night
We’re running a beginner-friendly **soldering workshop at TOG Hackerspace for Engineers Week**.
If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to solder (or just get more confident with it), this is a hands-on session that starts from the basics and finishes with you building something real.
Like our previous soldering workshops, we’ll cover safe tool use, good technique, and the common mistakes that catch people out.
## What to expect
In this class, our instructors will guide you through the process of soldering components onto a circuit board. We’ll start with the fundamentals — how to use a soldering iron properly, how to get a clean joint, and how to spot (and fix) issues — then you’ll build your own project.
### New for this Engineers Week edition: choose your kit
On the night, you’ll get to **pick one of five different kits** and build it after the lesson. Each kit is designed to be achievable for beginners, with help on hand if you get stuck.
(We’ll share the list of the five kits closer to the date / on the booking page.)
## Workshop details
* **Date:** **Thursday, 5th of March**
* **Time:** **7:00 pm – 8:30 pm**
* **Location:** TOG Hackerspace, Dublin 12
* **Cost:** *€25*
* **Booking:** [https://www.tog.ie/2026/02/soldering-workshop-engineers-week-build-a-kit-on-the-night/](https://www.tog.ie/2026/02/soldering-workshop-engineers-week-build-a-kit-on-the-night/)
Meet up, Warm up, and Get Moving to Get Fit :)
We will start the session with some light stretching exercises to warm us up, and help to prepare us for the run. The pace of the run will be steady, depending on who is running with us on the day.
Days when we have a large group we may break into multiple groups, each operating independently at their own pace.
Saturdays are good for intermediate runners, and is usually a 10km run, again at a steady pace.
If you're looking to get into running, come along on Tuesday or Thursday mornings and I will coach you, at your pace, to get you up to running (jogging) to 5km without stops. The only thing I will ask, if you're a beginner, is that you're able to walk for approx 30 minutes at a relaxed pace.
PLEASE NOTE: That, if you RSVP a particular event, then please ensure that you attend, as there may be other members relying on you for company on the run.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Any run or activity that you participate in with the group will be at your own risk.
Usually we have a post run (after our cool down) coffee in the Dash container at the Hole in the Wall pub.

Let’s play… Goat Crashers / Demon Driven to the Maw /Get Lich or Try Dying
Join us every Sunday and tell a story as a group by playing a beginner-friendly roleplaying game. Every week we have 2-3 different games. All materials provided and rules are explained at the start of This each game, you just need to bring your imagination.
***
This week's games:
**Scott** running [GOAT CRASHERS](https://gshowitt.itch.io/goat-crashers). ou're a cheeky little goat who just wants to party. Problem is, the only party in town doesn't want goats to attend. But to hell with them; you're going to get inside by any means necessary and have the BEST time.
**Eoin** running [Demon Driven to the Maw](https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/372360/demon-driven-to-the-maw), a horror adventure set in 16th century Scotland. A grand ball is in full swing at Firnhirst Castle. A thief is hiding among the revelers, in possession of a tremendously valuable marble. But the thief isn't the only strange guest in attendance, and there are signs of sinister machinations occurring behind the scenes. Will you find the marble and escape with your lives?
**Silvia** will run an International Women's Day special (women and NB only) of Get Lich or Try Dying. You have been woken from your not so eternal sleep by a disturbance in the world. A manosphere event is taking place at your ancestral family home. This is unacceptable.
This game has 1 space left, let me know if you want to join. First come, first served etc.

Sunday boardgame meetup
Our free-of-charge meet-up in the Black Sheep Pub on Capel Street.
This is a casual meet up for people who want to play boardgames. Lots of people bring plenty of games and rules will always be explained so don't worry if you're new to the hobby and you don't have anything to bring along or think you won't know how to play.
The meet-up runs for the whole day but late comers always welcome, you just may have to wait a little for a game to open up but games will be starting and ending throughout the day.
**IMPORTANT!**
**The meet up is free of charge but we do ask that people support the bar by buying food and/or drink. The bar is very accommodating to us and it's important that we support them in return. Bringing in outside food or drink is completely unacceptable.**
Check out the comments below where people will say what games they are bringing and express your interest in joining if interested.
Any questions contact either of the organisers Gavin or Stephen.
