Understanding the speed of MotoGP with Adam Wheeler
MotoGP is a mainstream championship in Spain and in many other countries in the world. Books on the series have explored the history, the icons, the technology but not many have taken the fan or follower directly into the paddock and all the personalities, engineering and psychology that goes with a motorcycle sport pushing at 225mph.
Author **Adam Wheeler** will chat about how and why he wanted to present this enthralling spectacle to wider consciousness with some other journalists.
**[ORDER THE BOOK HERE](https://backstorybookshop.shop/product/motorcycle-grand-prix/)**
## About the speaker:
**Adam Wheeler** is an award-winning journalist who contributes to the Telegraph, edits and owns On-Track Off-Road magazine, and is part of the Paddock Pass Podcast team. He has been working in and around MotoGP for over twenty years. He lives in Barcelona.
## About the book:
***Motorcycle Grand Prix*** takes readers inside the 75-year-old FIM World Championship — not through race results and lap times, but through the human stories behind them. Each chapter tackles a separate subject, moving from riders and team managers to mechanics, doctors, physiotherapists and engineers, stitching individual perspectives into a bigger picture of what it actually takes to compete at this level.
Drawing on exclusive interviews with Pecco Bagnaia, Jorge Martín, Brad Binder and Jack Miller, as well as reflections on Valentino Rossi, Marc Márquez and Cal Crutchlow, Wheeler goes well beyond the paddock gossip. The book covers talent, obsession, injury, and the extraordinary technical arms race between manufacturers — with none of the glamour and all of the reality.
The Actor's Instrument
**THE ACTOR'S INSTRUMENT** is a weekly practice dedicated to developing the actor's primary tool: **the self**
**THIS WORK FOCUSES ON:**
Presence, responsiveness, imagination and the ability to act
truthfully under imaginary circumstances.

Being the only researcher, or part of a small research team, often means carrying the weight of user advocacy entirely on your shoulders. The Barcelona tech ecosystem is fueled by fast-moving startups and agile product teams, but that reality can sometimes leave UX researchers managing backlogs and advocating for stakeholder buy-in without a massive support system.
Join us as we interview a panel of UXRs who have successfully built their company's research culture from within a lean team. We will dive into their firsthand experiences and talk through real-world playbooks for strategic roadmap influence. Expect thoughtful discussions on how to democratize your insights, scale your impact across the organization, and drive high-fidelity product decisions.
Whether you are a team of one or navigating the growing pains of a small team, bring your questions, your challenges, and your stories. See you there!

🍺 Agentic Coding Meetup — Devs & Drinks
No slides. No speaker. No agenda. Just developers talking shop over a cold one.
This is an informal gathering for engineers, founders, and builders who are deep in the agentic coding trenches — using tools like Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Code, OpenCode, or rolling their own agent pipelines. Come swap what's actually working, what blew up in production, and what you're excited about right now.
We'll be at Barcelona, and the format is simple: show up, grab a drink, and share what you know. Bring a laptop if you want to show something, but it's not required.
WhatsApp Group: https://chat.whatsapp.com/GVS0bHMPIzID3Ch9lt6YsU?mode=gi_t
**What we talk about (but not limited to):**
*Agentic coding workflows and tooling
- Prompt engineering & context engineering in practice
*Multi-agent architectures and orchestration
- AI-native product building
*What's broken in the ecosystem and how you're working around it
**Who should come:** Developers, technical founders, and AI engineers who build with (or on top of) LLMs. All levels welcome — senior devs with war stories and curious beginners both make the conversation better.
**Format:** Open conversation, round-table style. Everyone teaches, everyone learns.
Bluff Lab: Open Creativity Workshop
What’s that sound? A new kind of Creativity Lab.
***Bluff Lab*** *is free to attend, with advance RSVP requested at* ***[bluffeducation.org](bluffeducation.org).***
Bluff Lab is an interdisciplinary creative workshop blending improvisation, writing, and sound-play.
The lab explores *bluffing* not as deception, but as a creative tool: pretending, testing, and moving forward with or without certainty. Through structured prompts and playful constraints, participants are invited to loosen habits, bypass overthinking, and access new ways of making and collaborating.
We begin with an open workshop focused on presence, listening, and creative risk-taking in a supportive group setting.
In the second half of the evening, participants can join or observe a playful, guided jam using material generated during the workshop. Participation is always optional.
**What to expect**
• Guided exercises using voice, text, movement, and sound
• Individual and group-based prompts
• A relaxed, process-driven environment with optional sharing
• No prior experience required
**Who it’s for**
Creatives and “*non-creatives*,” students, professionals, performers, musicians, and anyone curious about creative process. Open to all levels and backgrounds.

https://www.eventbrite.es/e/first-dates-express-25-35-36-47-in-barcelona-at-alice-secret-garden-tickets-1964814677592
Only once you pay you will have your seat for the event. If you just get enrolled on Meetup, you do not have your spot.
**It is mandatory to order at least one drink per person.** A beer costs between 3 and 5 euros. **Casual dress is required: no flip flops, beach shorts or gym gear please.**
**STARTING TIME: Girls at 19.45h. Guys at 20.00h**
**How does the event work?**
* **Welcome** → Guests arrive and register. Hosts welcome you. You will receive a sticker to write your name and stick it on your chest. This will help to remember all names. You will also have a pen and a sheet of paper just exclusively for you where you need to write the names of all the dates you will have and comments just for yourself. You may find in the sheet the number or letter of the table you need to sit at the beginning. Go to the waiting area that the organizers will tell you. At the end of the event it is important that you scan the first QR CODE on your sheet and there will have to fill in your contact information: name, phone number, instagram, mail... and the name of the three people you like the most (It is a good idea to write all the names in the sheet as long as we are having the dates, and at the end just crossed out all except for the 3 we like the most). In the form we will also appreciate your feedback either good or negative to improve the event. You can grab a drink, nip the loo and relax in the indicated area. We ask the girls to come 15 minutes earlier than guys to start sitting them. In general we organise two or three groups divided by age range, but it depends on the number of participants. During the rounds a waiter/waitress will come just in case you need a refill!
* **Icebreaker activity** → Depending on the day we have an ice-breaker activity for each group which consists in answering questions to start getting to know all participants.
* **Rounds Begin** → Each participant has a mini-date (7 minutes) with another person. You may find ice breaker questions on the table in case you need them to help start enthralling conversations.
* **Rotation** → At the signal (host announcement or gong), the guys move to the next partner. The rotation is always following the order of the numbers or letters you will find on the table: A,B,C,D,E,F... 1,2,3,4,5,6... When you get to the last number you will jump to the first one. Same with letters. Boys will be stand up 30 seconds to take notes and girls will remain sitting in same position.
* **Half-break** → There is no half-break but if you want to pause, just ask the host if you can skip a round of 7 minutes so you can order drinks or food, go to the can or just relax at the garden.
* **End of Rounds** → At the end we usually gather at the garden to have a drink. Like this you still have time to talk to people and make your decision.
* **Fill the sheet** → Participants indicate who they’d like to see again. Maximum 3 names. It is important to scan the first QR code in your sheet to fill the form. We could increase the number of names voted but here we are **looking for the real sparkle. You can vote until monday at 18h!**
* **Results** → **On tuesday in the morning**, the organizer shares mutual matches privately after the event by Meetup message or mail. Please check your SPAM FOLDER. If you get a match, you will receive your match's contact information.
In order to create a good atmosphere it's very important that in your profile you have a clear picture of you. If you do not have a picture of yourself, you will be kindly moved to waiting list. Even if you see waiting list try to get enrolled as I Will be accepting to keep a balance men/women. It helps to create a better ambience.
**If you get enrolled and pay and in the end you can not make it, please inform us before the last 48 hours of the event. Otherwise you won't either be given the refund or scheduled for another day.**
You are expected to respect and behave properly. Be polite with everyone. Otherwise the organization may decide to expel you from the event and prevent you from participating any other days. If everyone detects a suspicious behaviour, please inform immediately any of the hosts.
For people older than 24! By getting enrolled to the event you accept to appear in pictures than could be published. If you don't feel like it, contact me.

# **¿Cómo funciona el evento?**
### **Bienvenida**
* nombre
* número de teléfono
* Instagram
* correo electrónico
* **los tres nombres** de las personas que más te han gustado
*(Es buena idea escribir todos los nombres durante las citas y al final tachar todos excepto los 3 que más te gusten.)*
***
# **Normas importantes**

Building Scalable Customer Identity Resolution Pipelines on AWS Using AI
Customer identity resolution becomes increasingly complex as organizations scale across multiple systems, regions, and data formats. Traditional rule-based approaches often fail to keep up with data variability, require constant manual tuning, and struggle with real-time processing needs.
This session presents a practical approach to building a scalable identity resolution pipeline using AWS services and modern AI techniques. The architecture combines data ingestion through Amazon S3 and AWS Glue, transformation pipelines using Spark on EMR, and machine learning models deployed via SageMaker for entity matching and standardization. Graph-based relationship modeling is implemented using Amazon Neptune to improve resolution accuracy by incorporating household and shared attribute context.
We will walk through how machine learning models can be used for name and address normalization, how intelligent blocking strategies improve matching efficiency, and how feedback loops can be introduced to continuously improve accuracy. The session also highlights how serverless components such as AWS Lambda can be used for orchestration and real-time processing.
