We begin with an open workshop focused on presence, listening, and creative risk-taking in a supportive group setting. In the second half of the evening, participants can join or observe a playful, guided jam using material generated during the workshop. Participation is always optional. **What to expect** • Guided exercises using voice, text, movement, and sound • Individual and group-based prompts • A relaxed, process-driven environment with optional sharing • No prior experience required **Who it’s for** Creatives and “*non-creatives*,” students, professionals, performers, musicians, and anyone curious about creative process. Long Live the Silo.](https://uxdx.com/session/the-silo-is-dead-long-live-the-silo/) This talk explores how AI is reshaping ownership, craft and collaboration in cross-functional teams, and why the specialists who feel most threatened might actually be the ones who matter most. Expect honest observations and some uncomfortable questions. **Talk by Mert Tas -** [AI, Collaboration, and Hidden Tradeoffs of Product Teams](https://uxdx.com/session/ai-collaboration-and-hidden-tradeoffs-of-product-teams/) Generative AI is changing how product, design, and engineering teams work together, from how ideas are explored to how decisions are discussed and documented. In this session, Mert will share practical experiences from working on complex design and personalization products at Vistaprint: where AI genuinely improves quality, shared context, and speed, and where it risks creating shallow alignment, coordination overhead, or endless artifact generation instead of deeper thinking. The session is intended less as a prescription and more as an honest reflection on the new collaboration tradeoffs many teams are already starting to feel. ## **About UXDX** UXDX helps teams shift from project based delivery to empowered, autonomous product teams. We host global conferences and over 150 free community events each year, bringing together UX, Product, Design and Development practitioners to share how real teams build better products faster.

**ADVANCED STAGE & SCREEN CLASS** **THESE ARE WEEKLY WORKSHOPS FOR DEDICATED PROFESSIONALS** with working experience in theater, film or televsion. **THIS ADVANCED CLASS** is a true working space for actors who want to engage directly with their creative process, and not the result. Through guided experimentation, scene work, and development, actors collaborate directly with writers and directors - not simply interpreting material, but actively shaping it. The focus is to strengthen the actor's instrument: presence, real responsiveness, imagination, and concentration. The work is practical, rigorous and collaborative. Each session invites participants to explore text, create new works, and refine their craft. **THE WORK INVOLVES:** * Scene work in collaboration with writers and directors * Development of new material in the rehearsal process * Exploration of technique through active practice * Immediate and active feedback **THIS IS FOR:** **Professional level - experienced or trained** **APPROVAL REQUIRED** * Are interested in process, and not the outcome * Want to work in a professional and focused atmosphere * Are ready to engage as collaborators **APPROACH: THIS IS A WORKING LABORATORY** **ACTORS ARE EXPECTED** * to participate actively * to take creative risks * Contribute to a shared process **ABOUT THE FACILITATOR:** Tomislav is a versatile storyteller with a rich backgound in writing, directing and teaching. He received his masters degree in writing and directing at Columbia University in 1993, and worked with well known directors David Lynch, Emir Kusturica, and Martin Scorsese. He is also a lifetime member of the Actors Studio in New York which shaped his process in helping actors stengthen their craft.

Open Clown Workshop (PWYW) in English • Every Other Sunday
Open Clown Workshop (PWYW) in English • Every Other Sunday
Join us every other Sunday for the Open Clown Workshop at The Comedy Clubhouse Barcelona. Whether you’re an experienced clown wanting to exercise your clowning muscles or a complete beginner full of curiosity this workshop is for you. Sessions will usually focus on one particular aspect of clown for example: bafflement, befriending uncertainty, staying curious, freedom in failure, connecting with your pleasure, finding the game, eye contact with the audience. Our usual workshop teachers are experienced clowns who perform regularly in Barcelona and around the world. They have either trained with the legendary clown master Philipe Gaulier; performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival; organised their own cabaret shows; or have experience of developing clown numbers elsewhere. While every teacher has different strengths and exercises they’ll share, each workshop is designed to inspire you and help develop your skills as a comedic performer. This is a great place to meet new people, play games, have fun & learn new skills! The session lasts from 15.00 until 17:30 and it operates as a Pay What You Want workshop (suggested donation between 5 and 15 euros). It takes place at the Comedy Clubhouse on Via Laietana (be careful because there are two Comedy Clubhouses! It does not take place at the one on Carrer Canvis Nous!)

Why Is Your Language Learning So Slow? (And How to Fix It)
Why Is Your Language Learning So Slow? (And How to Fix It)
When I moved to Barcelona, I worked long hours and somehow still couldn't find people to actually practice Spanish with. I tried courses. I tried Duolingo and Babbel. They all felt the same: awkward exercises about topics I didn't care about, completely disconnected from my real life. So I figured out my own method. It worked. I learned Spanish in 4 months, and I'm now accelerating my French, not in a classroom but by integrating the language into my daily life. That's exactly what I'm sharing in this free 1-hour session. **What you'll walk away with:** * Why traditional methods get you stuck at the intermediate level * The one thing that actually moves the needle (it's not more tutoring) * Daily practices you can start tomorrow - built around your life, not a textbook **Who's this for:** * You've been learning a language but got stuck somewhere between A2 and B2 * You want to actually use the language, not spend years chasing perfection * You're open to rethinking how you learn **Logistics:** We'll meet at Sandwichez to have a Coffee all together and talk about our language experience.

If you just get enrolled on Meetup, you do not have your spot. **It is mandatory to order at least one drink per person.** A beer costs between 3 and 5 euros. **Casual dress is required: no flip flops, beach shorts or gym gear please.** **STARTING TIME: Girls at 19.45h. Guys at 20.00h** **How does the event work?** * **Welcome** → Guests arrive and register. Hosts welcome you. You will receive a sticker to write your name and stick it on your chest. This will help to remember all names. You will also have a pen and a sheet of paper just exclusively for you where you need to write the names of all the dates you will have and comments just for yourself. You may find in the sheet the number or letter of the table you need to sit at the beginning. Go to the waiting area that the organizers will tell you. At the end of the event it is important that you scan the first QR CODE on your sheet and there will have to fill in your contact information: name, phone number, instagram, mail... and the name of the three people you like the most (It is a good idea to write all the names in the sheet as long as we are having the dates, and at the end just crossed out all except for the 3 we like the most). In the form we will also appreciate your feedback either good or negative to improve the event. You can grab a drink, nip the loo and relax in the indicated area. We ask the girls to come 15 minutes earlier than guys to start sitting them. In general we organise two or three groups divided by age range, but it depends on the number of participants. During the rounds a waiter/waitress will come just in case you need a refill! * **Icebreaker activity** → Depending on the day we have an ice-breaker activity for each group which consists in answering questions to start getting to know all participants. * **Rounds Begin** → Each participant has a mini-date (7 minutes) with another person. You may find ice breaker questions on the table in case you need them to help start enthralling conversations. * **Rotation** → At the signal (host announcement or gong), the guys move to the next partner. The rotation is always following the order of the numbers or letters you will find on the table: A,B,C,D,E,F... 1,2,3,4,5,6... When you get to the last number you will jump to the first one. Same with letters. Boys will be stand up 30 seconds to take notes and girls will remain sitting in same position. * **Half-break** → There is no half-break but if you want to pause, just ask the host if you can skip a round of 7 minutes so you can order drinks or food, go to the can or just relax at the garden. * **End of Rounds** → At the end we usually gather at the garden to have a drink. Like this you still have time to talk to people and make your decision. * **Fill the sheet** → Participants indicate who they’d like to see again. Maximum 3 names. It is important to scan the first QR code in your sheet to fill the form. We could increase the number of names voted but here we are **looking for the real sparkle. You can vote until monday at 18h!** * **Results** → **On tuesday in the morning**, the organizer shares mutual matches privately after the event by Meetup message or mail. Please check your SPAM FOLDER. If you get a match, you will receive your match's contact information. In order to create a good atmosphere it's very important that in your profile you have a clear picture of you. If you do not have a picture of yourself, you will be kindly moved to waiting list. Even if you see waiting list try to get enrolled as I Will be accepting to keep a balance men/women. It helps to create a better ambience. **If you get enrolled and pay and in the end you can not make it, please inform us before the last 48 hours of the event. Otherwise you won't either be given the refund or scheduled for another day.** You are expected to respect and behave properly. Be polite with everyone. Otherwise the organization may decide to expel you from the event and prevent you from participating any other days. If everyone detects a suspicious behaviour, please inform immediately any of the hosts. For people older than 24! By getting enrolled to the event you accept to appear in pictures than could be published. If you don't feel like it, contact me.
