The Actor's Instrument
**THE ACTOR'S INSTRUMENT** is a weekly practice dedicated to developing the actor's primary tool: **the self**
**THIS WORK FOCUSES ON:**
Presence, responsiveness, imagination and the ability to act
truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
**IT IS NOT ABOUT PERFORMANCE or RESULT.**
**IT IS ABOUT PROCESS, AWARENESS, AND AVAILABILITY**
**THE WORK:**
* Through structured exercises and guided exploration, actors train:
* Attention and concentration
* Physical and Vocal awareness
* Emotional availability
* Imagination and impulse
* Connection to partner and enviroment
**THE WORK IS ACTIVE, PRACTICAL AND ROOTED IN DOING.**
**THE APPROACH:**
This is a safe space to practice, not presentation.
**Actors are invited to:**
* Let go of fixed outcomes
* Work moment to moment
* Explore without forcing results
* Develop sensitivity to impulse and response
* The aim is to build an instrument that is awake, responsive and precise.
**WHO THIS IS FOR:**
* Actors at any stage of their development
* Artists interested in deepening their craft
* Those looking for a consistent, focused practice
**STRUCTURE:**
Sessions are
* Guided
* Participatory
* Process-oriented
Work may include solo exercises, partner work and group exploration.
Let's Build Websites with modern WordPress — Hands-On Session
Want to build websites with **modern WordPress**? Come practice with us.
**What happens during the session?**
* We pick a real website section together — a banner, a team section, a pricing table — from a live site or a Figma file
* We reproduce it using WordPress's new block editor (Gutenberg & FSE)
* We work in pairs — two people, one laptop, building together
**Good to know:**
* Spots are limited to 6 — small enough to have real conversations and make real connections
* Stuck on something? Someone in the group will be happy to help
**Who is it for?**
* Entrepreneurs, freelancers, developers, designers, or anyone curious about building websites with modern WordPress
* Some WordPress experience is helpful — no previous experience with the new editor needed
**What to bring?**
* Your laptop with a local WordPress install — we recommend [LocalWP](https://localwp.com/), it's free and takes 5 minutes to set up
* A block theme activated (Twenty Twenty-Five works perfectly)
**What is "modern WordPress"?**
WordPress has evolved from a simple blog editor into a full site design tool called Gutenberg & Full Site Editing (FSE). You can now build every part of your website — header, footer, templates, page layouts — using visual drag-and-drop blocks, without touching a single line of code.
This makes heavy page builders like Elementor unnecessary: no bloat, no plugin dependency.
Modern WordPress loads only the styles each page actually needs, resulting in faster, lighter sites — and because clean code and speed are exactly what Google rewards, your SEO improves naturally too.
Most WordPress users haven't made the jump yet — this meetup is the place to start.

Scaling AI Agents & Security in the Wild
At InnoIT Consulting, we are delighted to invite you to our upcoming event, organized in collaboration with Claude *Code Barcelona*, on **Wednesday, May 20**.
🎙️*Claude Code: Scaling AI Agents & Security in the Wild*
**SUMMARY**
We will be joined by **[Dror Asaf](https://www.linkedin.com/in/drorasaf/)** (Co-Founder & CTO, Kovant) and **[Joaquín Gamiz](https://www.linkedin.com/in/joaquin-gamiz)** (Security Engineer, Content Creator & Instructor).
**🎙️ From Chaos to Marketplace: A Practical Guide to Sharing AI Agent Best Practices at Scale,** Dror Asaf
As AI agents become central to development workflows, the real challenge is no longer adoption — it's **scaling them without letting knowledge become siloed** within individuals or teams. At Kovant, this challenge drove a progressive evolution: from ad hoc use in individual repositories to a central instructions repository, to a **dynamic skills system** that adapted to the context per project, ultimately culminating in an **internal plugin marketplace** that made sharing capabilities intuitive. Along the way, we discovered which simple approaches broke down at scale — and which solutions actually held up.
This talk provides a **clear framework for managing agent knowledge** based on organizational maturity, along with practical lessons and actionable starting points for any team looking to consolidate **scattered knowledge into shared infrastructure**.
With time for a dynamic **Q&A session and, of course, our networking with food 🍕 and drinks 🍻.**

**🎙️Talks**
**From Chaos to Marketplace: A Practical Guide to Sharing AI Agent Best Practices at Scale (In English)**
AI coding agents are transforming how we build software, but getting your whole engineering organization to benefit from them is harder than it looks. At Kovant, we learned this the hard way, going through four stages of trial and error before landing on something that actually works at scale. In this talk, Kovant's CTO will share the honest story behind that journey and reveal the approach that finally made it click for our teams.
*By Dror Asaf, CTO and Co-founder*
**Claude in Red Team and Blue Team Mode: From Breaking Things to Putting Out Fires (In Spanish)**
A practical talk on how to use Claude for reconnaissance and early phases of pentesting (red team), as well as a technical aid for incident analysis (blue team).
This talk explores what it truly means to be a hacker, separating myths from reality, and dives into a hands-on lab using Claude Code, covering setup, context, and operational rules. We introduce MCP as the interface that enables models to interact with tools, and walk through real testing targets and methodologies. Through practical exercises, we demonstrate how to identify web vulnerabilities, interpret Nmap outputs to prioritize risks and define next steps, and finally how Claude Code can also support defensive strategies, showing its value for both red and blue team scenarios.

Connecting the World: Scalable Geospatial Pipelines with GigaSpatial
Speaker: Utku Can Ozturk, Data Scientist and main developer of the Gigaspatial project
Geospatial data is critical for global development, but practitioners constantly battle fragmented data, scaling issues, and complex integrations across vector and raster formats. Enter GigaSpatial, an open-source Python library built by UNICEF’s Giga initiative to help connect every school in the world to the internet.
In this talk, we will explore the architecture behind GigaSpatial and how it replaces the need to stitch together a dozen different tools to answer a single spatial question. We will dive into how the library orchestrates data collection, transformation, and standardisation pipelines at scale. By leveraging strict configuration validation, object-oriented data connectors, and seamless multi-store management, GigaSpatial provides a unified API to wrangle spatial data. Finally, we’ll look at real-world applications across 30 countries, from validating point-of-interest data against multiple global building footprints to running zonal aggregations using different grid systems.
Whether you are a data engineer, a GIS professional, or a Python developer interested in open-source architecture, you might find this talk an interesting look into how we build robust spatial pipelines; and we would love to explore ways you can contribute to this global mission.

Python Meetup May
For this month's Meetup, we are partnering with **ERNI** to offer two sessions about: **Scaling Python Analysis with Apache Airflow** and **Stopping an Epidemic using the Atomica package**.
\-\-\-
Schedule:
* 18:30: Welcome
* ️ 18:45: Talks
* **&** 19:45: Networking, food and drinks!
* 21:00: Bye!
\-\-\-
* ➡️ **What:** From Scripts to Systems: Scaling Your Python Analysis with Apache Airflow
* **Who**: Marc Gonzalez Planas
* ⏱ **Duration**: 30 minutes
* **Language**: English
* **Abstract**: Data Analysts often face a "production wall" where local Python scripts struggle to meet the demands of a live environment. Moving from ad-hoc analysis to scalable data products requires a shift in focus toward governance, observability, and idempotency. Without proper orchestration, we can fail.
Let's learn how to bridge that gap by refactoring standard Python scripts into automated pipelines using Apache Airflow. We will explore the transition to an "orchestration" mindset, focusing on how to use Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) and the TaskFlow API to transform modular Python functions into a an automatic system.
\-\-\-\-
* ➡️ **What:** How to Stop an Epidemic using the Atomica Package
* **Who**: Eloisa Pérez Bennetts
* ⏱ **Duration**: 30 minutes
* **Language**: English
* **Abstract**: Infectious diseases are a major global health challenge, claiming over 13 million lives each year. Despite the availability of interventions – such as vaccination, testing and treatment – determining the most effective strategy can be challenging, as this depends on complex factors like outbreak severity, funding limitations and sociopolitical influences. Computational modelling offers a powerful tool to assess the potential outcomes of different public health responses, but the difficulty of building fit-for-purpose epidemiological models from scratch is a barrier to widespread use.
Atomica, a Python-based open source simulation engine, addresses this challenge by simplifying the development of epidemiological models. It allows users to create highly configurable data-driven simulations that incorporate disease transmission, intervention strategies and budget constraints. With its user-friendly design and robust capabilities, Atomica allows us to forecast the potential consequences of public health strategies in specific settings. This insight enables policymakers and health organisations to make evidence-based choices, ultimately improving intervention effectiveness and saving lives.
