* Firas Cheaib (ACP) – When Models Become the Commodity
* Victor Chibotaru(LogicStar AI) – Shipping Faster, Drowning Sooner
Abstract:
When Models Become the Commodity
ACP Engineering works extensively with LLMs to write production code across a small team. What makes that work is not the models, but the groundwork laid before them: a portfolio of Python projects sharing the same tooling, structure, tests, CI, and linters, the same conditions that already made the codebase easy for humans to navigate. That foundation is what powers the current build of ACP-M, ACP's industrial IoT platform for manufacturing customers, and an early agentic-loop prototype now running internally. The next step is enabling customers to automate their own operations the same way. Doing that requires the same kind of preparation on their side: turning fragmented operational data into knowledge graphs, unified namespaces, and typed semantic layers, so that agents act on information that is short, focused, and reliable. Once that environment exists, the model becomes a commodity. What matters is enterprise processes and domain knowledge, not which model happens to be in fashion that quarter. Attendees will leave with a concrete way to assess whether their own environment is ready for agents at all, and what it takes to get there
--
Shipping Faster, Drowning Sooner
AI ships your features faster than ever, but it also ships bugs faster than ever. Code got cheap, maintenance didn't: customer complaints stack up, Sentry alerts overflow, and triaging the pile is still as expensive as it ever was. I'll show how LogicStar finds bugs across your Sentry, Jira and codebase, separates signal from noise, and helps your team fix issues that matter.
AWS with Yara
Yara is a fantastic art model. She will join us at the studio for an after work photoshoot.
We will experiment with moody and dramatic light setups, to hopefully create some beautiful images.
**Open to members and non-members.** Come for the photography, stay for the networking!
All you need is a camera with a portrait lens and some enthusiasm.
The event fee is CHF 100.
Please understand that in case you cancel close to the event, we will ask you to pay anyway, as we have to pay for the model and the studio.
Learn programming with Python, Java, Javascript, C(++) or ...
Dies ist ein informelles Treffen für Lernende, die ihre ersten Schritte in der Programmierung machen oder ihre Grundkenntnisse vertiefen möchten.
***
This is an informal meetup, for learners that want to do their first steps in programming or want to consolidate their skills.
We spend one hour and a half working on tutorials, exercises or projects. If you need help to get started, we will help you finding a good way for learning.
You should be prepared to spend your time "doing things": just hanging around and listening might get boring, if all other people are learning on their side.
There are experienced people are around and you can ask questions as soon as their arise or bring with you questions you have had during the week.
During the last half an hour, we do a (simple) exercise together.
We speak German, English, and a few other languages.
Currently, how main programming languages are:
* Python
* Javascript
* Java
* Flutter
* C++
* C
* C#
* PHP
But you're free to learn any programming language during our Co-Learning!
If you want to learn more about our Co-Learning, please have a look at our website (no frequent updates...):

**Ten times tea**
I'm building a programming language. When I got to the frontend, I ran into a problem: React's mental model is elegant, but the mental model is at odds with the code. Hooks, effects, and render passes create a runtime that bears little resemblance to the code we write. The Elm programming language works differently and its architecture (TEA = The Elm Architecture) has been adopted by other tools over the years.
So I copied it as well. My language embeds TEA at the language level, not as a library. This unlocks time-travel debugging, reproducible application state and serializable bug reports that include the entire program state.
This talk covers the quick introduction of my language, TEA, why TEA is the right fit and what becomes possible when the architecture is baked into the language itself.
19:50 \~ 20:10
*Marco Gähler*
**Software testing**
Many old software projects don't have any tests - if the code works, why should you bother with tests? Well, you really should bother, because code changes all the time. During development, you keep adding new features which at times requires large scale modifications of the code that will inevitably alter existing functionality. And in existing projects, one still has to make updates once in a while, for example for security patches. These things will always break existing functionality and tests are the only remedy against this issue.
In this talk, we will look at the basic idea of tests, how to implement them, what issues to look out for and how you can test pretty much any piece of code if your code base is well structured.
20:10 onward

We look forward to see you there!

Uetliberg Design Networking Hike
**A creative walk & talk for designers and creatives**
Join us for a half-day walk and talk along the scenic Uetliberg ridge, designed to connect outside the usual networking format.
No presentations. No panels. Just great people, ideas, and a shared path.
We start at Triemli Station and hike up through the forest to Uto Staffel (about 1.5 hours), guided by [Mario Stipetic](https://www.linkedin.com/in/mariostipetic/). From there, we continue into a relaxed 1 to 1.5 hour ridge walk along the Planetenweg with views over Zürich, the lake, and the Alps.
Conversations unfold naturally along the way. We move in small groups, rotate, and share thoughts on current projects, creative challenges, and topics like AI in design, or whatever emerges in the moment.
We end at Gut Mädikon Hofcafé, a hidden farm café, where we spend about one hour enjoying coffee, homemade cake, and relaxed conversation.
This is networking without the pressure. Just movement, fresh air, and meaningful exchange.
See you there! 😇
**WhatsApp Group (Coordination)**
We’ll send the WhatsApp invite after you RSVP.
You can also join via Discord below.
——
**The Easy Route**
Prefer to skip the steep climb? Take the S10 train from Zürich HB to Uetliberg (about 20 minutes), then walk down to Uto Staffel and meet us there around 11:00 AM. Timing will be coordinated via the group on the day.
**Getting Back**
We walk back along the ridge to Uetliberg, either retracing the Planetenweg or taking the path near the Uetliberg tower. From there, walk down to Triemli station and catch the train home.
**Physical Fitness**
The initial climb takes about 1.5 hours and is steep, requiring a reasonable level of fitness. If you are unsure, take the easy route. The views are the same, and the Hofcafé cake tastes just as good.
**RSVP**
If your plans change and you can no longer attend, please update your RSVP so we can adjust the reservation at the Hofcafé.

Impact Over Perfection – A Practical Approach to Accessibility
Accessibility often feels overwhelming with all its guidelines, standards and edge cases. But in practice, meaningful improvements don’t require perfection. They require empathy and a sincere motivation to create a truly usable experience for all.
In this talk, we share real learnings from UX and UI projects: what actually made a difference, where teams struggled, and how small, deliberate changes created a much more inclusive experience.
You’ll walk away with a practical mindset and actionable ideas to start improving accessibility in your own projects — without waiting for the “perfect” solution.

.
* **WHAT is Connection Space?**
Imagine a co-working space where everyone is with headphones, laptops, mostly being 'alone' all day ...
or a cafe/restaurant/bar where pretty much all people talk to people they already know..
.
The **"Connection Space"** is exactly the opposite of that; its a **fun** social environment outside family and work, a cultural exchange, where we **unite** and hangout with **new and old friends** as **one community**.
.
Thats it.
.
No to phones, laptops, zoom-calls, books
No to a specific reason to get together (eg. only for specific hobbies, genders, age groups, languages etc)
No to just talking to your friends
Not a dating, not a party, not an expat-only meetup
NO to division (political racial gender etc)
.
Yes to simple and real in-person connection with new and old friends
YES TO FUN! We got many optional activities for you to try out
Yes to feeling like home & come as you are
Yes to unity, love and respect for one another
Yes to eating, drinking and music
Yes to everyone-is-welcome & always-free events
YES to UNITY! Getting along with each other in spite of different opinions
.
Our events are **inspired** by the Greek village culture of "[Καφενείο](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kafenio)" (village coffeeshops) with photos [HERE](https://www.google.com/search?sca_esv=569660528&sxsrf=AM9HkKlXnclaLfgcockKtdr9qHdmD5jaGw:1696060562834&q=greek+%CE%BA%CE%B1%CF%86%CE%B5%CE%BD%CE%B5%CE%B9%CE%BF&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi52fX67dGBAxXnlf0HHZNiBHUQ0pQJegQICRAB&biw=1460&bih=913&dpr=2). When myself Christos was a kid, my granddad took me to these "[Καφενείο](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kafenio)". Every neighbourhood had one, and people met, without an exaggeration, on a daily-basis. It was the community center of the village. People met new and old friends, played games, socialised, ate snacks, drank coffee and ouzo. It was a very friendly, welcoming and homey environment. Unfortunately this concept is rapidly dying in Greece. As a kid I had extremely good memories of these coffeeshops, and for this reason I am passionate to revive and recreate this environment and also add a modern twist. Hope you enjoy it!
.
* **WHAT is NOT Connection Space? NOT** a drinks or party event (responsible drinking only, no shots, no free drinks). **NOT** a dating event. **NOT** foreigners-only, but everyone is welcome
* **What KIND of event is this?** Its a mix of **social** and **cultural event** that build **community**. We have many people from so many different cultures socialising, we promote culture with events with Art exhibitions and Live Music and we also revive the social culture of the Greek traditional village coffeeshop (Καφενείο - read more above).
* **WHO?** Wir wollen gerne mehr **Schweizer/innen** dabei haben! Alle sind willkommen und die meisten können Deutsch sprechen. Not an expat event. **Everyone welcome**!
* **Mindful Connection Games:** from [The School of Life](https://www.theschooloflife.com/shop/?_product_type=games-card-sets) available: Confessions Game, The Friendship Game, Connection Game, The Loser Game, Games for grown-ups and three sets of "100 questions" (Conversation Toolkit & Careers & Relationships)
* **Fun Social Games:** bring your own **board/card games** or choose from: Cards against humanity, Exploding Kittens, Codenames, Debatable, Sotally Tober, Taboo, Mafia, Uno, Monopoly and more.
.
Looking forward to **fun quality Connections**! 🙂

**Abstract**
Like it or not, AI agents are now capable of turning a quickly written paragraph of requirements into a pull request that is ready to be integrated into real-world production applications and it's now our responsibility to make sure AI doesn't go rogue and take down prod - or corrupt our data by misunderstanding the requirements or our existing schemas. In this session we'll explore strategies to protect our codebases through unit and integration testing, documentation, and code review along with additional ways of providing context and guard rails to our AI agents as they carry out the work we've assigned them to do. By the time we're done, you'll have a firm grasp of the problem and understand some helpful options for protecting your codebase from vibe coding mishaps getting YOLOed into prod.
