**This Sunday we’re doing something special.** A **homemade Italian gourmet lunch** in a private home near **Plasky / Schaerbeek**, with a maximum of **10 lunch guests** for a warm, seated, convivial experience. Restaurant-style **quality**, family-style **atmosphere**. ## **What Makes It Special** The meats are sourced from the well-known **Roland Butcher in Ixelles**, respected locally for quality cuts. Several dishes are prepared using **Anova precision sous-vide cooking**: food is vacuum-sealed and cooked slowly at exact temperatures for tenderness, juiciness, and consistency, then finished with a proper sear in a **stainless steel pan** for flavour and crust. In short: old-school ingredients and traditions, modern technique, serious results. Thin slices of cold veal topped with a silky tuna-caper sauce. Sounds unusual to some people, tastes excellent. **Italian Cheese & Charcuterie Board** Selection of cheeses and cured meats such as salami, prosciutto, and porchetta (slow-roasted seasoned pork). *** ### **Primo (first course - pasta)** **Homemade Gnocchi alla Sorrentina** Soft potato dumplings baked with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan. **25th April Nude Art Class – Drawing and/or Painting – Grand Hospice** Welcome to the eighth session of the nude drawing and painting classes, which will take place at Grand Hospice, in Brussels city centre, until June 2026! When: **Saturday 25th April,** **1.45 - 4.30 pm**. The class will focus on drawing and painting the human figure, with both previously seen and new live models. We will continue studying the human figure in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with multiple poses and varying posing times, and objects integrated into the composition. Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting, this art class is open to all skill levels! This time, we will have a male model. We have never until now featured Zinfandel, the ubiquitous California grape with the Dublin Wine MeetUp Group. At its best Zinfandel, is rich, voluptuous, with great depth of red and blue fruits. Jammy and hedonistic are common descriptions Each person should bring one bottle of an quality Zinfandel wine; be creative and quality conscious, with some bottle age if possible. Turley, Martinelli, Biale, Seghesio, Ridge, Hartford Bedrock, Carlisle, Klinker Brick, Frog's Leap, and anything from the Rockpile vineyard is likely to be very good to great. The Prisoner wines began as a Zinfandel blend. Also bring a protein based appetizer to share and **a wine glass for your personal use.** Cheese and meats are best with these wines. There will be a gas grill behind the clubhouse to grill. We’ll gather at the Oak Creek clubhouse, where the Dublin Wine Group, hosted by Thom and supported by Timothy, will take it from there. We practice, dance, and enjoy a BYOB bottle of your favorite wine at the Dublin Ballroom off Sawmill, North, and “milonga” is a social event for tango dancing where dancers socialize. A “*practica*” is an informal social event for tango dancing where dancers focus on practicing the dance; while a “*practilonga*” combines the relaxed atmosphere of a “*practica*” with the format of a “milonga.” We are doing it all! ***Cost is $10 payable to the Teacher.*** *Cost is for the cost of the venue and covers some snacks.* We have had fun doing this event in the past. Please arrive promptly as lessons begin at 2pm. Don't worry about bringing a partner as there will be others at the event from outside the group that: a) might have a clue and b) won't step on your toes. The event is BYOB (similar to our Salsa events), so bring your favorite and a wine glass. We will likely find a place for dinner and drinks after the dance.

**Comedy Night + Open Mic + Freestyle**: Tristan Shae and friends return to entertain us and to warm the group up for our open mic session. February's Open Mic / Comedy Night was a smash hit and it's worth a second night. We'll start with Tristan Shae and a couple of his friends. Tristan is an alternative comic from Columbus, Ohio. A counselor by day, Tristan explores how comedy can improve mental health by telling jokes and stories that muse on how absurd life can be from squeaky clean topics to not so clean ones. Tristan produces the variety show Cheaper Than Therapy, hosts the weekly Problem Child Alt Comedy Open Mic at The Attic, and can be found engaging in all sorts of silliness around the city from stand up shows at The Nest Theater, The Attic, or The Funny Bone, to improv and sketch shows with various groups at various venues such as The Hashtag Comedy Club. **On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\. There is NO formal wine tasting like on other weeks\. Door charge is $10 \(cash or Venmo only please\)\. We may have some left over wines to clear out\! Glasses are provided\. Take Care\.
