Transformational Tarot Salon for Women
Transformational Tarot Salon for Women
**TAROT SALON** **Transform Your Life Through Tarot and Intuition** **Personal growth for women in an intimate small-group setting.** Join a warm and supportive circle of women for self-discovery, insight, and meaningful conversation. In this intimate salon, we will explore subconscious patterns, gain clarity on challenges and opportunities in our lives, and discover fresh perspectives through guided discussion and tarot. I am an experienced tarot card reader and certified transformational life coach. Prior to my coaching practice, I served as a Superintendent of Schools, a role that involved leadership, management of intense situations, coaching and facilitating. Over many years of working with staff and with clients, I have learned that lasting change begins when we become aware of the beliefs, habits, and assumptions that operate beneath the surface of our conscious minds. We will begin with introductions and a thought-provoking question. Participants will have the opportunity to reflect, share, explore insights and select tarot cards for deeper reflection. Each gathering is unique, but the goal is always greater clarity, self-awareness, and personal growth. During each gathering, participants will explore thought-provoking questions, share insights in a safe and confidential environment, and experience how tarot can reveal perspectives that might otherwise remain hidden. The cards often point us toward possibilities we may not have consciously considered, yet which can lead to meaningful growth and positive change. This is not a fortune-telling event. It is an opportunity to connect with yourself more deeply, learn from the experiences of other women, and explore what may be ready to emerge in your life. Together we will create a compassionate, respectful circle where honesty is welcomed, confidentiality is honoured, and every participant is encouraged to discover her own answers. Some women may attend a few sessions and leave with valuable insights they can apply independently. Others may choose to continue their journey through ongoing participation in the salon or through one-on-one transformational coaching. The choice is entirely yours. **Details** · Five women participants with Jan facilitating TUESDAY, 2:00 –4:00 p.m. (twice monthly) · Tuesday, June 16 · $25.00 per session, payable in cash · Streetsville, Mississauga · Exact address provided upon registration I look forward to meeting you and to exploring what your inner wisdom may be ready to reveal. It’s going to be a journey!

ABCD Reads "Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi
ABCD Reads "Reading Lolita in Tehran" by Azar Nafisi
ABCD Reads "**[Reading Lolita in Tehran](https://tpl.bibliocommons.com/v2/record/S234C191026)**", a Memoir in Books by Azar Nafisi. [[RESULTS](https://opavote.com/results/5367401513484288) of the poll for this event] **:: ABOUT THE BOOK ::** "Every Thursday morning for two years in the Islamic Republic of Iran, a bold and inspired teacher named Azar Nafisi secretly gathered seven of her most committed female students to read forbidden Western classics. As Islamic morality squads staged arbitrary raids in Tehran, fundamentalists seized hold of the universities, and a blind censor stifled artistic expression, the girls in Azar Nafisi's living room risked removing their veils and immersed themselves in the worlds of Jane Austen, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Henry James, and Vladimir Nabokov. In this extraordinary memoir, their stories become intertwined with the ones they are reading. Reading Lolita in Tehran is a remarkable exploration of resilience in the face of tyranny and a celebration of the liberating power of literature." (from [Goodreads](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/7603.Reading_Lolita_in_Tehran)) "Azar Nafisi’s engrossing Reading Lolita in Tehran is the sort of book that ruins the sleep of those in charge of placing books in bookstores. Where to shelve it? Under literary criticism? No, for although it subjects a number of classics to revealing scrutiny, that would miss much of its point. Under memoirs? Similar problems: although its story is intertwined with the life of its author, it is not that life. Women’s issues or feminism would not be entirely out of place—the main characters who both act and suffer in this book are female—but again, in such a classification something would be lacking. A mischievous soul might stash it under book groups, which would be about as close as my college library’s choice of veterinary medicine for Hemingway’s Death in the Afternoon: there is a book group in Reading Lolita, but it is more like a life raft than an after-work social gathering." (from [ReviewCanada](https://reviewcanada.ca/magazine/2003/09/the-book-lovers-tale/), written by Margaret Atwood) **:: ABOUT THE EVENT ::** You are welcome to arrive 30 minutes before the event and stay 30 minutes or longer afterward to connect with other attendees outside the book talk. Please ensure you have read the book before attending (though finishing any book is not a barrier to participating, as long as you don't mind spoilers). First-time attendees can join for free. If the event is full, we maintain an unofficial waitlist. Please send [Michael](https://www.meetup.com/members/55295192/) a direct message for more information, in either case. We request a $3 contribution from regular attendees to help cover our monthly meetup costs. **:: ABOUT OUR NEXT BOOK ::** At the end of each event, we will ask for nominees for our next book. If you have a good one in mind, please ensure it is between 200-400 pages long, available from the Toronto Public Library, and counts as contemporary literary fiction (though these are not hard and fast rules). When enough nominees are collected, Michael will send the members a direct message with a link where you can vote.

Feminine Embodiment Women's Circles & Coaching https://secure.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/c/2/f/0/600_460789904.jpeg There is a cosmic shift happening on the planet and women are tired of playing second fiddle in this game of life. Playing small not only keeps you from manifesting what you truly want, but it also holds you back from living out your divine purpose. I’ve been there, stuck, held back, and yearning to break-free and frankly being in that place plain 'ol sucks! What if you could step-up and make a difference; a meaningful contribution in this world by just being you? How might the landscape of your life look? Over for the past six years, I’ve worked with women who are looking to break out of the spell of smallness. It pangs me to see women depressed, depleted, disconnected and downright insecure. One of the reasons many of my clients rave about the work we do together is because I provide immediate results. What I teach is inherent within you but there are layers of gunk bogging you down from accessing this wisdom. Spinning your wheels, and living a life of lack is no way to live, beautiful. You are so much more! What can you expect from our sessions together: • A solid understanding of what feminine energy is, and how to use it to have your way with the world • Develop a physical and energetic presence that attracts what you want: personally and professionally. • Feel more comfortable with your sensuality, and with receiving positive attention. • Experience more passion in your life - particularly your love life. • Be more at ease setting clear boundaries with others. • Learn to be in flow rather than always pushing and striving to make things happen. • Look and feel more sexy, confident and radiant • Gain clarity about your life purpose and the greatest gifts you have to offer the world • Establish or strengthen your intuitive guidance Book a FREE 30-minute discovery call to learn how I can help support you on your journey to coming home to yourself as a woman. This means MORE self-love, MORE self-confidence, MORE clarity, MORE empowerment and saying YES to living out your divine mission. For more information on my coaching packages please visit www.lusciousfeminine.com or to book a FREE 30-minute complimentary Discovery Call, email Amanda at lusciousfeminine@gmail.com “Before working with Amanda, I was the dried-out, work-obsessed intellectual. I lived in my head and felt completely severed from the neck-down. I over-intellectualized emotionally-charged situations to avoid being present…I am [now] able to ease my ‘mind-babble’, step into my power as a woman knowing that I am safe and secure within my own space, and practice expressing my needs and desires from a more authentic place… Amanda helped me to be trust in the power of vulnerability, surrender, and acceptance. It has been a pleasurable journey! \~ Stefanie T. Amanda Clarke The Luscious Feminine http://www.lusciousfeminine.com http://www.facebook.com/thelusciousfeminine lusciousfeminine@gmail.com

Evolve Shades of Sisterhood (Virtual)
Evolve exists to provide a welcoming place for professional women to create an authentic community, deeper connections, and confident growth through networking and workshop events. No cliques, no judgement. **Shades of Sisterhood** is a space for women to grow from the inside out through meaningful conversations, personal development, mindset growth, and courageous self-awareness. These gatherings are designed to create deeper connection, expand perspective, and encourage women to become healthier, stronger, and more aligned versions of themselves — both personally and professionally. Through honest dialogue, shared experiences, and intentional conversations around identity, leadership, confidence, relationships, emotional resilience, and growth, women are invited into a supportive environment where they can learn, reflect, heal, and evolve together. This is not about perfection, hustle culture, or surface-level positivity. It is about creating a safe space for women to have real conversations, challenge limiting beliefs, grow in self-awareness, and step more confidently into who they were created to become. At its core, Shades of Sisterhood exists to remind women that growth starts within — and no woman has to navigate that journey alone. Guests are always welcome.
