Cunning Crones of the Crossroads
This meeting we will be discussing our Crone superpowers. What we have gained or like to in this stage of life. How it is the same or different than we thought it would be.
We need a name. Lets name our group.
Welcome to all who identify as women—those in their wisdom years and those journeying toward them, embracing cycles of growth, transformation, and deepening self-awareness.
This space honors women celebrating the strength, creativity, and wisdom that unfold through each season of the feminine path.
In this circle, a crone is not defined by age but by attitude - someone who carries or seeks the wisdom, courage, and self-knowledge that comes with lived experience.
You are invited to join the Crone’s circle of women coming together to share wisdom, experience, and inspiration. This gathering offers a welcoming space for reflection, storytelling, and meaningful conversation about life’s journeys, challenges, and triumphs.
Whether you seek connection, personal growth, or simply a moment of peace among kindred spirits, this meeting is an opportunity to nurture your inner strength and celebrate the wisdom within us all.
Come as you are.
To guide and enrich our time together, we will be using books and other creative means—such as rituals ceremonies, journaling, art, and shared activities—to spark insight, deepen connection, and inspire personal growth.
Naming of the group will be done in circle.
Please bring a journal for our journey.
Books can be bought through Sticks and Stones.
The first book will be:
The Crone Zone: How to Get Older with Style, Nerve, and a Little Bit of Magic
by Nina G. Bargiel
Host: Cat
Entrance cost: $15
Cat
Cat began her spiritual journey in her late twenties, drawn to the transformative power of self-discovery and holistic healing. Trained in meditation, earth-based spirituality, yoga, massage, and energy work, she weaves together practices that nurture balance and connection. Her creative spirit finds expression through continued learning, ceremony, rituals, movement, art, crafts, and journaling, which she uses as tools for reflection and transformation. Deeply committed to creating community, Cat fosters spaces where individuals can share, heal, and grow together. Through her work, she continues to explore the harmony between energy, creativity, and the natural world.

**Book Summary:**
For as long as medicine has been a practice, women's bodies have been treated like objects to be practiced on: examined and ignored, idealized and sexualized, shamed, subjugated, mutilated, and dismissed. The history of women’s healthcare is a story in which women themselves have too often been voiceless—a narrative instead written from the perspective of men who styled themselves as authorities on the female of the species, yet uninformed by women’s own voices, thoughts, fears, pain and experiences. The result is a cultural and societal legacy of gender bias in medicine that continues to shape the (mis)treatment and care of women.
While the modern age has seen significant advancements in the medical field, the notion that female bodies are flawed inversions of the male ideal lingers on—as do the pervasive societal stigmas and lingering ignorance that shape women’s health and relationships with their own bodies.
In a feat of compelling science writing, Memorial Sloan Kettering oncologist and medical historian Dr. Elizabeth Comen draws back the curtain on the collective medical history of women to reintroduce us to our whole bodies—how they work, the actual doctors and patients whose perspectives and experiences laid the foundation for today’s medical thought, and the many oversights that still remain unaddressed. With a physician’s knowledge and empathy, Dr. Comen follows the road map of the eleven organ systems to share unique and untold stories, drawing upon medical texts and journals, interviews with expert physicians, as well as her own experience treating thousands of women.
Empowering women to better understand ourselves and encouraging patient advocacy for care that prioritizes healthy and joyful lives— for us and generations to come—All in Her Head is written with humor, wisdom, and deep scientific and cultural insight. Eye-opening, sometimes enraging, yet always captivating, this shared memoir of women’s medical history is an essential contribution to a holistic understanding and much-needed reclaiming of women’s history and bodies.

👉 Turn Your Lived Experience Into Multiple Books Using AI (Ashburn)
**Saturday • May 16 • 2–5 PM • Ashburn, VA**
Many people say they want to write a book someday — **this session helps you start.**
Your life experiences already contain stories, lessons, and insights that could become books. The real challenge is **how to organize those experiences and actually turn them into writing.**
In this interactive session, I’ll share the approach I’m using to build a **multi-book journey based on lived experience.**
So far I have:

📝 **16 additional books planned** — and likely many more.
This session is not about writing **just one book**.
We’ll explore how your experiences can evolve into **multiple books over time**, and how to **use AI the right way to speed up your writing while keeping your voice authentic.**
***
### What We’ll Explore
• Turning life experience into book ideas
• How one journey can become multiple books
• Simple ways to structure stories and lessons
• Using **AI to organize ideas and speed up writing**
• Practical strategies to actually finish a book
**Everyone will leave with the outline of their first book idea.**
**You don’t need writing experience — just curiosity about how your life experiences might turn into ideas worth sharing.**
***
### Event Details
💵 **$25 RSVP — includes coffee + snacks**
📍 **Ashburn, VA** (exact address shared after RSVP)
🕑 **2:00 PM – 5:00 PM**

# Background — Writing & Reinvention Journey
Writing has been one of the most powerful tools in my own reinvention journey.
What began as reflections during a difficult life transition gradually evolved into published books and a growing body of work focused on reinvention, personal growth, and life transitions.
My goal is not just to write books — but to help others realize that their experiences may also hold stories worth sharing.
