Warrandyte to Blue Tongue Bend, 12km, 370m elevation (easy) - Xmas breakup
Join us for a 12km out-and-back hike following trails along the Yarra River in Warrandyte.
The hike will be followed by Christmas lunch at the StoneHouse cafe.

**Please do not RSVP to any Eastern Hiking & Adventure event unless you are fully committed to attending.** It is your responsibility to check the date, distance, and difficulty of the walk before RSVPing. Members who frequently withdraw at the last minute, fail to show up, arrive without being on the "going" list, or behave disrespectfully towards leaders or fellow members will be asked to leave the walk and may be removed from the group. All leaders are unpaid volunteers who invest a great deal of their own time to plan and research each walk. Their efforts deserve respect and consideration. Meet new people, get into the outdoors, enjoy a conversation, grab a hot drink and let’s go for a walk around Coburg Lake! Wonderful way to start a Saturday morning 😊
We will firstly meet at 9:30am at The Boot Factory cafe. There will be time to order a hot drink, meet and greet then will head to nearby Coburg Lake for walk.
Walk should go for 45-60 mins. Feel free to walk as much or as little as you like. Will make our way back to Boot Factory.

📍 Location: Point Nepean National Park (Approximately 1 hour & 40 minutes from Melbourne CBD on Saturdays)
📏 Hike Distance: Around 15 km total

🚶♂️ Pace/Effort: Friendly and social / Easy.

**Optional Swim After the Hike 🌊**

**Important Carpooling Note**
Drivers and passengers should stick with the arrangements they make in the Transport Group Chat. We **do not recommend swapping drivers or cars** after you’ve agreed on a ride. If you do decide to change, please make sure **all parties are clearly informed and agree** to avoid confusion.
If a driver forgets, gets mixed up, or doesn’t pick you up, Wilderness Seekers Victoria (and your driver) is **not liable** for any inconvenience caused. For this reason, it is best to keep things simple with the driver you first arranged with.
In the transport chat, drivers will share their preferred pick-up locations, often major CBD train stations like Parliament, Richmond, South Yarra, Southern Cross, or North Melbourne.

Hike Blendon Woods Metro Park
Hi ladies. We will meet in front of the Nature Center and head to the two Observation decks. We will then hike Hickory Ridge, Ripple Rock, Overlook and Sugarbush trails to get approximately four miles total distance. We will walk approximately a 18 minute mile pace. Please wear appropriate hiking shoes.
Hike Inniswood Metro Gardens
We will hike approx 4 miles looping through the gardens, boardwalk trail and chipmunk trail.
December Hot Cocoa Hike
Join us this December for a (possibly!) snowy walk in Sharon Woods Metropark.
This hike is dog friendly!🐕
Hot cocoa and candy canes will be provided after the hike.
