Creative Decoden with Charms in Zürich
### Decoden Workshop – Decorate with Charms and Color In the **Decoden Workshop**, you’ll explore a playful and creative decorating technique that turns everyday objects into unique, colorful accessories. Decoden is a popular craft style that uses creamy decorative glue, bright colors, and cute charms to create fun, eye-catching designs. This workshop is perfect for anyone who loves creativity, decoration, and hands-on crafting. During the workshop, you can decorate a variety of items such as **picture frames, mirrors, pencil cases, or small accessories**. You choose the object, the color of the decoden cream, and your favorite charms to match your personal style. Whether you prefer a cute, bold, or minimal look, every piece becomes a one-of-a-kind creation. The workshop is **beginner-friendly** and no prior experience is required. You will be guided step by step through the entire process, from applying the decoden cream to placing the charms securely. Tips and tricks will be shared to help you create a balanced and beautiful design. Individual support is available throughout the session, so you can work at your own pace. Each item takes approximately **15–30 minutes** to complete, depending on the level of detail. The **price starts at 25 CHF per item**, which includes one color of decoden cream and **20 charms**. All materials are provided, so you can simply show up and start creating. Please note that the decoden glue needs time to dry. It becomes stable after about **2 hours** and fully cures overnight. You may leave your finished piece at the studio for safe drying and collect it later, or carefully take it home with you. The Decoden Workshop is suitable for **children and adults**, making it a fun activity to enjoy solo, with friends, or as a creative break. Punch Needle - only in Zürich
Punch Needle - only in Zürich
**Kawaii Punch Needle Workshop** In this Punch Needle workshop, you'll transform simple threads into unique works of art. Punch Needle is a modern yet relaxing embroidery technique where loops are created in the fabric using a special needle. This results in textured, soft surfaces and impressive patterns. This workshop offers the perfect opportunity to learn Punch Needle or to bring your creative ideas to life – no prior experience necessary. At the beginning of the Punch Needle workshop, you'll receive an introduction to the basics of the technique . I'll explain step by step how the punch needle works, which materials are used, and what you should pay attention to while stitching. You'll learn how to guide the thread correctly, create even loops, and neatly execute your design. The calm, repetitive movement of punch needle is particularly relaxing and perfect for unwinding from everyday life. In the workshop, you have two creative options to choose from. The first option is to select an **existing template** . These designs are especially suitable for beginners and guide you step-by-step through the embroidery process. You can concentrate fully on the technique and learn how to create a punch needle artwork from start to finish. The second option is for those who want to unleash their own creativity. You can **design your own pattern** and then embroider it yourself. Whether simple shapes, patterns, lettering, or a free-form motif – you decide what you want to create. Here, too, you will receive individual guidance and support in planning and executing your design. Throughout the entire Punch Needle workshop, you will receive personal, step-by-step guidance . It's important to me that all participants feel comfortable and can work without pressure. Questions are always welcome, and I'll help you find solutions if something doesn't work right away. The goal is to work with enjoyment and create a result you can be proud of. All materials are included in the workshop . You'll receive the punch needle, fabric, frame, and a selection of threads in various colors. You don't need to bring anything except your creativity and enthusiasm for crafting. At the end of the workshop, you'll take your hand-stitched artwork home – ideal as a decoration or a personal gift. **How long?** **Max 2 hours, come anytime between 14:00 and 20:00. Please message me if you are coming any time after 14:00.** **For whom?** The Punch Needle Workshop is **suitable for everyone** . Both children and adults are welcome. The course is aimed at beginners, but creative people with some experience can also gather new ideas and refine their technique. Punch Needle is easy to learn and offers quick results, which makes the workshop particularly motivating. If you feel like trying something new, unwinding creatively and creating a work of art with your hands, this Punch Needle Workshop is just right for you.

Writers' Workshop
Writers' Workshop
Join us at Museum Strauhof for an opportunity to enjoy, discuss and learn from excellent writing. We'll have a private room at Zurich's literature museum, less than a 10 minute walk from Zurich HB. There will be three reading and discussion slots and an opportunity to meet other writers. A few notes for prospective writers: 1. You aren’t required to share your own work and should feel encouraged to attend simply to enjoy and discuss the work of others, if you prefer. 2. All genres, formats, and styles of creative writing welcome, noting that the focus will be on discussing English-language fiction (or creative non-fiction). Poetry is likely to be better suited to the marvellous Zürich Poetry Club. 3. All abilities are welcome, from those just starting out to those who have already made progress in their writing, from hobbyists to professionals. 4. There will be three reading slots for each session, allocated on a first-come-first-served basis. Please indicate in the comments for the event if you would like to share something. 5. If you would like to share your writing with the group, you can do so either by reading aloud or allowing group members to read directly. You can expect to read for 5-7 minutes (approximately 600-1000 words) with 15-20 minutes provided for discussion afterwards. 6. If possible, please bring sufficient copies of any writing that you would like to present, so that everyone can read it themselves. You can also request written feedback. 7. Improving as a writer requires both guidance and encouragement, so you can expect the discussion to be constructive and courteous - we all know how challenging it can be. We hope that you will be able to join, and look forward to seeing you there!

For our Q1 Women in Product Columbus event, we’re creating space to actually work through those moments. **Making Moves** is an evening of focused, facilitated coaching conversations with experienced mentors from our local product community. This isn’t a panel. It’s not passive networking. It’s small-group dialogue designed to be thoughtful, practical, and worth your time. Here’s how it will work: • You’ll choose a topic that reflects what you’re navigating right now • You’ll join a small coaching circle (5–7 participants) • Each circle is led by a mentor who has lived experience in that area • We’ll run two rounds so you can go deeper or explore a second conversation ### Coaching Topics: • Communicating the Value of Your Work (or Team) • Career Transitions & What’s Next • Growing Into Leadership • Staying Relevant as Technology (and AI) Changes • Getting Alignment and Decisions from Leadership Our goal is simple: you leave with clearer thinking, practical perspective, and at least one next step you feel confident about. Space in each circle will be limited to keep conversations meaningful. If this sounds like the kind of room you’ve been wanting to be in, we’d love to see you on March 10. RSVP here! Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times. Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have. Happy writing!
