« On doit être un logicien ou un grammairien rigoureux, et être en même temps plein de fantaisie et de musique » *(Hermann Hesse, Le Jeu des perles de verre, 1943)* L’atelier s’inspire directement du *Jeu des perles de verre*, roman visionnaire écrit par Hermann Hesse en 1943. Dans ce roman, un groupe pratique un jeu consistant à relier entre eux des savoirs issus de différents domaines (arts, sciences, musique…). L’objectif n’est pas seulement de comprendre, mais de créer du sens nouveau à partir de ces liens. Les romans d'Hermann Hesse m'ont marquée. Je les ai lus à un âge jeune, à la période où j'étais apprentie dans une grande librairie. En pensant à cette époque, je sens encore l'odeur des livres, et je revois mon esprit éveillé et curieux, très particulièrement attiré par les parcours de vie de grands auteurs et artistes. Cela fait bientôt 30 ans que les œuvres de Hesse résonnent en moi, même si, pendant quelques années, je n'ai pas touché à un seul de ses livres. Je peux dire que cet auteur a eu un impact sur ma pensée et sur mon attirance pour la complexité. Cependant, malgré cette attirance, je me suis davantage positionnée parmi les « faiseurs » que parmi les penseurs. L'inspiration me donne souvent une forte envie de créer du très concret, de monter des projets, de réussir quelque chose. Pour moi, la quête — identitaire, vocationnelle ou spirituelle — reste éternelle, mais elle s'incarne dans des actions concrètes à chaque phase de vie. Voilà qu'à 49 ans, je propose **The Shuffle**, un atelier-jeu inspiré par le *Jeu des perles de verre*. Tout comme dans ce roman visionnaire, l'idée est de réunir des personnes d'horizons très variés afin d'échanger avec méthode, curiosité et introspection, et ainsi d'ouvrir l'esprit à de toutes nouvelles approches. Cet atelier est pour vous * si vous vous sentez bloquée face à une tâche : par où la prendre ? * vous répétez vos tentatives d'avancer, mais aucun résultat ne se présente ; * vous vous cherchez activement, humainement et dans ses choix de vie, mais rien ne résonne, rien ne semble être la bonne voie ; * vous êtes en manque d'inspiration : vous avez toutes les compétences pour réussir mais rien ne déclenche le travail ciblé sur votre projet Bref. **Vous avez besoin de pensées fraîches et d'une impulsion.** Déroulement L'atelier-jeu se joue en petit groupe. Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
