Dani Zelko, Un texto camino

**Come join us to enjoy and share a session inspired by yoga and the energy of the lunar cycle.**
Each week, we explore a different practice that aligns with the current moon phase (for example, Full Moon: gratitude; Waning Moon: letting go…)
The heart of the session is the yoga practice, but we also include a deep meditation of at least 10 minutes, and we close the session with therapeutic writing or artistic expression as a way to integrate the experience.
We are a small group of up to eight people, creating a safe and open space where, through the body and movement, we gently move closer to self-awareness and inner peace.

!ENGLISH! THURSDAY / Opera Cafe - Philosophy Meetup: 19:30h - 21:00
Hi and welcome to our next Socrates Café philosophy meetup!
Do you have a hunger for deeper understanding of yourself and the world? Do you value deep, honest and respectful dialogue?
If yes, then this meetup will be very interesting for you.
• WHAT IS A MEETUP ABOUT?
At every meetup we have a discussion using Socratic method:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socratic_method
We ask, answer and discuss questions and ideas to stimulate critical thinking and to widen our perspectives with new concepts and thoughts.
The main purpose of these meetups is to enrich ourselves with the perspectives of others, not to convince others about our own perspectives.
Our meetups are about our own philosophies of life and not necessarily what the great philosophers and academics have said or written. It is not a debating club or a platform for proselytizing. Instead, we place the emphasis on questioning, open mindedness and challenging our own assumptions while listening to and respecting the views shared by others.
A Socrates Café meetup is considered a success when participants leave a discussion with many more questions than they had at the beginning.
• WHAT TOPIC IS DISCUSSED AT THE MEETUP?
Participants suggest topics at the beginning of each meeting. We then vote and choose that event's most popular topic for discussion. No academic training in philosophy necessary; just enthusiasm for exchanging ideas and points of view.
Some examples of subjects chosen on previous meetups:
* What ideals are worth dying for?
* Why are we never satisfied?
* Why is it that human beings know that the society is going wrong, leaders are well informed about it and things continue as is?
* Is identity necessary?
* How can it be that people in democratic societies are so obsessed with power? (Desire to be different, better, stronger than others)
* What is friendship?
• WHO PARTICIPATES AT THIS MEETUP?
Anybody is more than welcome to join our meetups. Our events gather people from different backgrounds, different cultures, while no philosophical background is mandatory.
Our usual participants are people that have a hunger for deeper understanding of themselves and the world. People that value deep, honest and respectful dialogue.
The inspiration for Socrates Cafe originates with the book of the same name, written by the philosopher Christopher Phillips. (Socrates Cafe: A Fresh Taste of Philosophy, 2002). Phillips felt that the Socratic method of dialogue and discussion should be practiced not just in academic settings, but among everyday people interested in examining deep questions together. Hundreds of Socrates Cafe groups now exist around the world. Coffee Connections
A casual (but coordinated) coffee break to meet new friends, take a Zoom break, and get your AM caffeine fix.
Stop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time. Bring a friend or wander in solo. Come for the coffee and company, or just bring a book to read while surrounded by other in-real-life, community-seeking humans. Come by every Friday, or just when you happen to be in town. Make it whatever you need it to be that week. It's not an \*event\* per se, but we hope these Friday meet-ups can become a fixture of the bookshop!
Gathering spot will be in the downstairs area of the bookshop (near the Community Library). Coffee and tea are 1.50€ and can be purchased at the cash register upstairs. Find more info on our Instagram (@backstorybookshop) or website (www.backstorybookshop.com).
Creativity, William Blake and Satan
This is the fourth in my "Satan" series. In the third session we ended with John Milton. We will continue the theme with William Blake, who was visited spiritually by Milton just as Milton was visited by his own muse.
Blake was an engraver, poet, writer and painter. Many today believe he was a creative genius. He has inspired creatives including Bob Dylan, Jim Morrison, Van Morrison, Billy Bragg, the beat poets including Allen Ginsberg, *Brave New World* author Aldous Huxley, *Hannibal* author Thomas Harris, *His Dark Materials* author Philip Pullman, *V for Vendetta* author Alan Moore and many others. And he has inspired me, and helped me understand what creativity really means, and how to live life authentically.
During his life-time he was virtually unknown, and he died a pauper. A small exhibition of his work when he was 50 resulted in a solitary review, which said that Blake was an unfortunate lunatic who ought by rights to be in an asylum were it not for his mild manners. The poet William Wordsworth wrote, “There was no doubt that this poor man was mad” and the art critic John Ruskin called him “diseased and wild.” Even his wife said she didn't understand his work. He only sold 30 copies of his most popular book in his life-time, and didn't sell a single copy of others. But Blake's insights into creativity and existence don't require years of study — they require a willingness to see differently and have a very individual approach life. Everyone has their own Blake, and this session is going to be about mine.
Bring wine/beer/drinks/food/snacks/whatever if you want to.

Shut Up & Write! Kingsdale Shopping Center
Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington.
The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo.
Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine.
We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you.
The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly.
Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit.
Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
Feel free to message me privately wth any questions and/ or concerns you may have.
Happy writing!

This meeting will be an open discussion about the book "an Immense World" by Ed Yong
