Puzzle Fun - FREE
**Puzzle Fun** đ§Šâ
A relaxed and fun gathering for anyone who enjoys puzzles, mathematical thinking, problem-solving, and curious conversations.
The goal of this event is not just to solve problems, but to encourage the kind of thinking that creates independent mathematicians and deep problem-solvers.
The event is divided into two parts:
⢠Segment One: Puzzle & Problem-Solving Round
Weâll warm up with fun high-school-level maths problems, logic puzzles, Sudoku-style thinking, and other mathematical challenges. Feel free to bring your own puzzles, books, or favourite problems to share with the group! A scientific calculator may occasionally be useful.
⢠Segment Two (Optional): Logic & Proof-Writing
If enough brave souls are interested, weâll explore the strange and beautiful world of mathematical logic and proof-writing â the foundation of higher mathematics. If not, weâll simply continue solving more puzzles and interesting problems together.
An online group will also be created for discussions, resources, and keeping track of what we cover, since mathematics is a subject that builds continuously over time.
Please bring:

What pain teaches usâŚ.
Pain teaches us that our limits are not always where we believe them to be. It awakens us to the depths of our resilience and the reality of our vulnerabilities. When we discuss pain, we reflect on its role in growth, empathy, and what it means to be human. So, as we explore this theme, we ask questÄąons:
What is a moment when pain taught you something valuable? Does pain always lead to growth, or can it simply be senseless? Is emotional pain fundamentally different from physical pain? Does the fear of pain limit us, or does it protect us? Can we learn to embrace pain as a teacher, or should we aim to avoid it? How do different cultures view the role of pain in life? Is there a philosophical difference between pain and suffering? Do you think we can truly empathize with anotherâs pain, or is it always personal? And, can a life without pain still hold a meanÄąng?

Canvas and Contemplation: Deep Reflections Through Paintings
*Canvas & Contemplation: Deep Reflections Through Paintings*
**Fee:** AED 30
**Duration:** 2 hours
**Format:** Two paintings, one per hour â deep group discussion follows each
What happens when philosophy meets paint and canvas?
Welcome to **Canvas & Contemplation: Deep Reflections Through Paintings**, a unique gathering where we explore the profound connection between visual art and the human experience. Each session, weâll sit with two powerful artworks â not to critique them like art historians, but to let them speak to our minds and souls.
You'll be surprised by the range of interpretations one painting can evoke â where one person sees despair, another may find hope; where one sees chaos, another finds divine order. This is a space for meaningful, respectful conversation that opens us up to new perspectives and helps us see more â in the art, and in ourselves.
Whether you're a philosopher at heart, an artist in spirit, or simply curious about how we see and feel, this event offers a space to slow down, look deeply, and think together.
**Come with an open mind, leave with new eyes.**

Discussions and Debates
Hi and welcome to our philosophy meetup!
Do you have a hunger for deeper understanding of yourself and the world? Do you value deep, honest and respectful dialogue?
If yes, then this meetup will be very interesting for you.
You can also call/msg : [0503551536](https://wa.me/+971503551536)
**Whatâs This Meetup About?**
We explore big questions and share ideas to spark curiosity and broaden our thinking. The goal? To learn from each otherâs perspectivesânot to push our own views. This isnât about quoting famous philosophers or winning debates; itâs about questioning, reflecting, and challenging our own assumptions in an open, respectful space. Success means leaving with more questions than answers!
**What Do We Discuss?**
At each meetup, we vote on a topicâanything from "Whatâs the purpose of life?" to "Do parallel universes exist?" No philosophy degree neededâjust bring your curiosity and a love for thoughtful conversation.
**Event flow**
There will be a number of group discussions with interesting themes and twists.
**Who shows up?**
Open-minded folks from all walks of life. Expect friendly debates, weird tangents, occasional cranks, and surprisingly smart convos.
**Who is NOT invited?**
\*narrow-minded people (racists, sexists, judgmental, ...)
* anyone trying to sell something
**ENTRY FEE: AED 30**

Practical Philosophy Meetup - Dubai đŚđŞ
**đď¸ WHAT'S PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY ABOUT?**
**Practical Philosophy is a weekly meet-up that brings critical thinkers together for an opportunity to dive deep on a topic, practice communicating, and building a community. All with no âofficialâ philosophy knowledge required! đ**
**Practical Philosophy is based on the idea that philosophy should be accessible to all, and not something reserved only for academics. Each week we choose a topic, and the goal is to use the conversation to develop our critical thinking and communication as we explore that topic.**
**The goal is to help develop our Critical Thinking, Communication, and Community đ**
**đ HOW DOES IT WORK?**
**Each week, we pick one topic and discuss it. The topic for the week is shared, generally in the** [Whatsapp group](https://chat.whatsapp.com/CdjwVxcf2EO6vcLWUhaIdk?mode=ems_copy_c)**, along with jump-off points to get the conversation going.**
**General Meeting Agenda**
**Each Practical Philosophy meet-up follows this general timeline:**
* **3:30-3:45- People arrive and chat, get to know each other before the official start.**
* **3:45-3:55 - Meeting introduction, explanation of Practical Philosophy and the topic for the week, read the guidelines and the overview so attendees know what to expect in terms of timelines.**
* **3:55-5:20 - Participants share their general thoughts on the topic, open discussion afterwards. At this point the group can review the âjump-offâ questions as needed, but they are just there to help guide the conversation. Itâs not obligatory to answer them.**
* **5:20-5:30 - Bring everyone back together to discuss conclusions, organizer then concludes the meeting and everyone takes a group photo.**
* **5:30 - The official meeting is over but itâs a great opportunity to get to know people in a non-structured environment, so we often stick around, chat, and get to know each other.**
**đ§§PRICING?**
**Practical Philosophy Club is FREE to attend! We just request that that you buy a beverage or food item as our venue requires it to give us a private room.**
**đ WHAT PEOPLE SAY ABOUT PRACTICAL PHILOSOPHY**
**đŁ** **âI feel like Philosophy Club helps someone build their own belief system through a series of perspectives while not promoting whatâs right and wrongâ - Ekam**
**đŁ âI got hooked from day 1 (the topic was authority) and felt it was the right place for me. I feel it is a place where people can go to learn and discuss new perspectives and increase critical thinking and community by interacting with people who might challenge your point of views but at the same time encourage you to have openness and mind flexibility.â - Daniel**
**đ¤ FAQ**
* **What will we talk about? What's the topic?**
**The topic for the week is shared every Sunday in the Whatsapp group. We try to add the topic to the comment section on this event page as well but if you donât see it, the topic and the jump-off points will be in our** [Whatsapp](https://chat.whatsapp.com/CdjwVxcf2EO6vcLWUhaIdk?mode=ems_copy_c)**.**
* **Do I need to study or read anything to attend?**
**No preparation is necessary. This isnât a study of other thinkers. We want to know what YOU think about the topic, not what an old philosopher thought. If you have a perspective from a religion or a school of thought to share, throw it on the table and weâll discuss it, but it's not required.**
* **Is there a specific philosophy that Practical Philosophy is focused on?**
**The goal of our meet-ups is to not have dogmatic discussions, and flex our critical thinking muscles. Because of this, we want to hear from every realm of thought, and don't study a particular school.**
* **Is it mostly men that attend?**
**Surprisingly, no! Although philosophy is seen as a Candelabra affair in a dark room with a bunch of guys, our Practical Philosophy meetups are generally 50/50 between genders, and we donât meet in any dark rooms.**
* **Can I come alone?**
**Of course you can, we encourage it :)**
* **Can I be late?**
**Please don't be! We do have a 15 minute grace period where we allow people to funnel in while we hang out, but after that if you arrive too late, it disrupts the flow of the conversation.**
* **Where do you meet?**
**The location is posted in Meetup and our** [Whatsapp](https://chat.whatsapp.com/CdjwVxcf2EO6vcLWUhaIdk?mode=ems_copy_c) **group for this location. **To respect our members privacy, we ask that no one privately message a member without first getting explicit consent. (This looks like speaking in person and being asked to message privately.)
