Hi everyone,
This coffee morning event is @MIR Concept Coffee Store!
Saturday, 21 March 2026, from 10:00 - 13:00.
MIR opened its doors about 4 years ago, right off Place Jourdan.
Doriana, the owner, is a super nice host, and is excited to have our group as her café.
The café is very beautiful and has great coffee, and many yummy food options.
Their Instagram channel:
https://www.instagram.com/mirconceptstore/
**The address is:**
MIR Concept Coffee Store
Rue Gray 4A
1040 Etterbeek
***
1. The **prime time** of the event is **10:30 - 12:30**. That's when most people will be there.
2. When you enter the gallery, it's either on the right-hand side or left-hand side of its hallway, depending which entrance you take.
3. If you intend **to join past 12:00** (high noon), then there is no need to register. Just come and join!
4. **DON'T forget to cancel** if you can't join!
5. **Please, be respectful towards each other during the event. (And after ;))**
**As always, feel free to follow us on INSTAGRAM!**
[https://instagram.com/weekendmorningcoffee?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==](https://instagram.com/weekendmorningcoffee?igshid=OGQ5ZDc2ODk2ZA==)
**THE STRUCTURE of THE EVENT:**
* I will post the event on Saturday/Sunday evening for the following Saturday.
* I send out a reminder to everyone on Friday.
* There is sometimes a waiting list.
* In case RSVP is closed (once there are 10-15 people on the waiting list), I might reopen it on Friday, depending on the number of cancellations in the meantime.
* **For everyone on the waiting,** please check your status and messages on Friday evening the latest. I message everyone on the waiting list on Friday.
* **Please, move to "not going" AS SOON AS you know that you can't come anymore, that includes everyone who is on the waiting list.**
**IMPORTANT:**
* **Please, be respectful towards each other during the event. (And after ;))**
* When you register yourself, be careful not to register accidentally a +1 guest (unless you bring a guest). It happens very often.
* If you have any questions then, message me.
***
**A MESSAGE FOR NEWCOMERS:**
*In the three years of hosting this coffee group, I have met many people who struggle with anxieties when coming to an event for the first time. Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.*
*Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.*
*I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.*
*In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.*
**THANK YOU AND SEE YOU ALL ON Saturday!**

Story Night: Stories of love, heartbreak and everything in between
Story Night is back with a new group of talented storytellers will share their stories to make you think, laugh and cry!
**Story Night Brussels: an evening of connection and community through personal stories**
Looking for a different kind of Saturday night? Join us for the one and only Story Night of Storytelling Brussels!
Storytelling Brussels aims to create a space where we pause, connect, and experience our shared humanity through the power of stories. A space where everyday experiences become well-crafted narratives with meaning and impact. Stories that will make you laugh, cry, reflect, feel. Come with an open mind and leave with a full heart.
**Event Details:**
* Each storyteller has prepared a short (around 8 minutes) personal story.
* **Venue**: the Bridge Theatre Studio; Chau. de Forest 83, St. Gilles
* **Doors open 19:30.** Show starts at 20:00 (sharp!). More than just a show, we want to create a community around storytelling, so **we encourage you to come early**, socialize, and maybe meet new people! There will be music and drinks available at the bar. We are starting again at 8 pm to allow for more storytellers and not end too late! Please note that the **front door of the venue might be closed once the show starts**, as itâs a private space, so you might not be able to enter if you are too late!
* Attention! We will be collecting **donations upon check-in at the door.** We recommend a donation of **10â¬/person**, but if you can't pay this at the moment, feel free to make a donation of your choice. All the earnings will go to compensate the performers (some of whom will be traveling long distances for this event) and organise more of these in the future. **Please bring cash**.
* All stories will be told in **English**
* We kindly ask you to be present and listen actively to the stories. But don't fear, we will also have time to have fun and chat in between, and some breaks to enjoy the bar!
**Reservations**: it helps us a lot if you [RSVP through here](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/story-night-connecting-through-personal-stories-tickets-1983675901019?aff=oddtdtcreator). Space is limited, so secure your spot by booking today! If in the end you cannot make it, please cancel your reservation so someone else might take your spot. Please note that if you havenât arrived by the time the show starts, your spot might be given to someone else.
**What is storytelling?**
Sharing stories in front of an audience may well be the oldest form of art. This ancient oral tradition is experiencing a modern revival through organizations like The Moth in New York, the Mezrab in Amsterdam, or The Bear in Berlin. Now, it is Brusselsâ turn!
Though deeply connected to many other disciplines, storytelling is an artform on its own. It might make you laugh, but it's not stand-up comedy. It might make you think, but it's not a TED talk. It make help you heal, but it's not therapy. Ultimately, it's about connecting with each other, sharing and celebrating life.
**Want to tell a story?**
We believe everyone has a story to tell, and we welcome everyone who wants to dare! Previous performance experience is a plus, but **not necessarily required.** We simply ask you to fill up the form below and commit to respect the format (you will have priority if you have come to our shows before). Depending on the volume of applications we will contact you only when we find a spot for you, thank you for your understanding!

About the moderator
Edit, founder of Tulipane Design.
âRaised in the Hungarian countryside, I learned sewing, crochet and traditional bead weaving. Jewellery being my main interest, I especially liked bead weaving. This passion has always been with me.
Since I have been living in Belgium, the African style fascinates me as much as the Hungarian folk style.
With my work, which manifests itself under the brand name Tulipane Design, I would like to offer a delicate mixture of Eastern Europe and Africa.
The designs are created and woven bead by bead. It is a work of patience and a kind of meditation: the beads take time to be woven.
Through my childhood trauma with an abusive father, I realised that creating is a crucial activity to find my balance and well-being and I think I am not alone with this. That's why my goal is not only to share my creations with other women but also to contribute to a social impact. Tulipane Design contributes with 1â¬/jewel sold to the Domestic Violence Centre in Belgium.â

Bozar - Beauty and Ugliness in the Renaissance
## Beauty and Ugliness in the Renaissance
Beauty and ugliness have always fascinated people, yet their meanings shift over time. *Bellezza e Bruttezza* explores how artists from Italy and Northern Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries depicted these extremes, from refined ideals to deliberate grotesques. A rare opportunity to see extraordinary works, some appearing in Belgium for the first and only time.
The exhibition traces how the standards of beauty and ugliness evolved from the last quarter of the 15th century to the end of the 16th centuryâkey transitional periodsâby juxtaposing in a rich and compelling confrontation the ways in which these two subjects were interpreted by the greatest Italian artists and their counterparts from Northern Europe. Beauty became an increasingly important social concern at this time, as shown by the rising number of 16th-century publications offering ârecipes for looking beautifulâ and advice on cosmetics and care. Meanwhile, ugliness also grew in prominence in art, appearing in a widening range of forms throughout the same period.

From Web Forms to Web Components - Burton Smith
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.
The building address is 4450 Bridge Park
The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400
**Abstract**
Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively.
This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. Weâll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from serverâdriven controls, and why theyâre becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether youâre maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, youâll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standardsâbased way.
