Every Wednesday SILVERS Dinner: Creating Change with Jacqui
Tickets here: [www.thesilvers.dk](www.thesilvers.dk)
We have started a movement in Copenhagen of weekly dinners (on a Wednesday) hosted by the senior generation in their own homes.
Seniors with 60+ years of life experience who are community leaders, intellectuals, artists, storytellers, and want to share their experience over dinners for a small group each time.
Every Wednesday there is dinner hosted by a different Silver (senior host) who will open their front door, welcome a group of 5-8 curious people into their home (all ages), and share their stories, knowledge, and connections across the table over a themed evening.
Each host chooses their own theme and it is the aim to pass on their hard-earned knowledge.
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
This week the host is: Jacqui!
Jacqui has spent her life studying one thing: how to make people change. For more than 30 years she worked across the world to change behaviour around health, equality, and social norms: with communities and governments across Africa, Asia, and Europe.
She now lives in an old iconic Christianshavn house â the one that gave Lagkagehuset its name! â where she opens her home for this Silvers Dinner.
Over a homemade meal, Jacqui will share stories from inside social change: how to change the world and why changing ourselves is often harder than changing the world.
An evening of good food, sharp insight, and honest conversation, and new people!

Every Wednesday SILVERS Dinner: A life in the province with Birgitte
This week the host is: Birgitte!
Birgitte has spent her life trying to make things happen. She leads with drive and initiative, turning ideas into reality wherever she goes.
She was the first in her family to attend high school, then university, where she studied music and was introduced to the opera stage. This led to many years on stage as an opera singer in Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
Later Birgitte chose a different kind of life. She left Copenhagen for Falster, attracted by the idea of community, closeness and building something of her own. There she bought an old missionary house and turned it into a small concert hall where she now hosts performances of the music she loves - modern music, chamber music and jazz.
An evening of good food, sharp insight, and honest conversation, and new people!

Forecasting
It is time for Scrum Master Clinic one more time.
It been a while, We are sorry about that, last months has been hectic.
Please join us at Simcorp and lets discuss how we can help teams forecasting.
Is it all about estimation? How do we estimate? How does value influence our forecasting?
We know it is not easy and many teams struggled with a high demand of predictability and being able to forecast for distant future.
We need to put the wisdom of the crowd in to work and learn from each other.

Shut Up & Write!âą Copenhagen
Join us for an hour of writing! Weâve discovered that itâs strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if itâs true for you at our Copenhagen Shut Up & Write! sessions.
Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, résumé, melody, poem, or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done.
SCHEDULE:
- 15 minutes of hellos and getting settled; maybe some quick intros.
- Then, the timer starts! : writing for 1 hour.
- After the hour is up... chat / take off / keep writing, if you're on a roll.
OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens once the hour of writing is complete. Writing can be very solitary... connecting (and sometimes even commiserating) with other writers is a cool thing.
It's best to be on time, but BEING LATE IS ALSO OKAY: just show up and get settled, then check in with us after the session. (Weâll be the ones with the small Shut Up & Write! sign.) If you were on time, please be willing to make room for the friendly latecomer.
What Should I Bring?
Whatever you need to be able to write!
Bring earbuds/earplugs if you want to block the cafeâs overhead music or the occasional conversation by other patrons.

Beasts of the Sea by Iida Turpeinen
In March we are reading [Beasts of the Sea by Iida Turpeinen](https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/228646203-beasts-of-the-sea).
This is (probably) our first Finnish book!
We hope to see you for a great discussion.
Synopsis:
In 1741, thirty-two-year-old naturalist Georg Wilhelm Steller joins Captain Bering's Great Northern Expedition to scout out a sea route from Asia to America. Plagued with hardships, captain and crew never reach their goal, but they do make a unique discovery, a gentle giant that will be named for the young explorer who described Stellerâs sea cow.
In 1859, the governor of the Russian territory of Alaska sends his men to seek the skeleton of the massive marine mammal rumored to have vanished a hundred years before, while his sister curates the settlementâs peculiar natural science collection. Two years later, a revered Helsinki professor hires a talented illustratorâa woman!âto make precise drawings of a set of bones sent from afar. The ill-fated beast will help introduce to a skeptical public the concept of human-caused extinction.
Finally, in 1952, the Museum of Zoology assigns its most talented restorer the task of refurbishing the antique skeleton, a testimony to the sea cow's fate that will fire the imaginations of future generations.
*Beasts of the Sea* is a breathtaking literary achievement and an adventure that crosses continents and centuries. Told through the stories of the men and women touched by the long-ago discovery of a curious and placid creature, it is a tale of grand human ambition, the quest for knowledge, and the urge to resurrect what humankind has, in its ignorance, destroyed

Botanical Cyanotypes
Join us for a cosy artsy evening, where I'll take you through the process of making botanical cyanotype prints.
Cyanotype printing is a photographic process, invented in 1841, that uses iron-based chemicals, UV-light and water to create beautiful dark blue prints. It is easy, less toxic and less expensive than most other photographic print-making techniques.âšThe workshop requires no prior experience and I will provide all necessary materials for you to make two A5-sized prints.

âą 1s hour- the first round of collage is called freestyle to help us warm up. No restrictions, start finding images to cut out and paste.â©
âą 2nd hour - for the second round, someone proposes some simple "trigger instructions".â©In the end, we show our collages and appreciate the diversity of styles.â©
âą After the session, we have the option to extend it a bit to get a drink or some food we can bring or order food so we can hang out a bit more. (Mellemrummet is very relaxing regarding bringing your own food from home or other venues; there is a poke place right in front.)
Everyone is free to do fewer or more collages as wished, the triggers and frameworks are only a reference. We dedicate some time to appreciating techniques, shapes, colours, and textures to learn and get inspired by each other. Alongside, we chat and relax.â©These sessions are not a class but rather a community gathering. We try to nurture a friendly atmosphere and take care of each other.
