Kant’s Cave: What is a point of view? - Rick Lewis
ATTEND IN PERSON OR ON ZOOM
In many different areas of philosophy, including ethics and philosophy of mind, difficulties arise from – or are made more intractable by – confusions over the viewpoints from which different claims are being made. Thomas Nagel explored this back in 1986 in The View From Nowhere, a book which focuses particularly on the interplay between subjective viewpoints and the objective viewpoint (ie ‘the view from nowhere in particular’). I was inspired by his book but I’m more interested in the differences between different human subjective viewpoints. I’ll take a look at a few of the many resulting philosophical tangles. In each case I’d also like to ask: what exactly is it to have a particular point of view? And is it more accurate to say that each of us has a point of view or that each of us is a point of view?
Rick Lewis is the Founder and Editor of [Philosophy Now](https://philosophynow.org/) magazine, the most widely-read philosophy periodical in the English language.

Open Doors - Networking Meeting - Luxembourg Centre
The chapter meets periodically and brings together a carefully curated group of business owners, independent and liberal professionals, sole proprietors, self-employed individuals, traders, and craftsmen. Our objective goes beyond networking, as we will work to give back to the society.
To preserve the value of these groups, each chapter will have the policy of only one representative per profession. This ensures a non-competitive environment where members can openly support one another, exchange insights, and grow together. Additionally, an attendance policy will be in place to encourage commitment and continuity, ensuring that every member contributes and benefits the collective momentum of the group.
At this initial stage, all participation revenues will be donated to a non-profit organization called SOS Villages d'Enfants Monde, reinforcing our belief that successful businesses have a responsibility beyond themselves.
The meetings will be held every 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. Members will be encouraged to purchase drinks from the venue as they will be hosting the place at no charge for the club.

**Welcome to edition 14 of the Generative AI Belgium Meetup! 🚀**
This time, we go on a quest.
Many epics speak of the brave and the adventurous going on a quest to conquer, slay, tame, or train a dragon along the way. The last three years of AI developments have their own stories of creativity, novel paths, and unforeseen challenges that seemed too big to tackle. In this edition, we want to bring some stories of people and teams who didn't choose the easiest path, but the most interesting one.
Join us on March 5th at Dataroots, Arnould Nobelstraat 32, Leuven, to meet these brave souls and get a feel for what it takes to tackle a challenge from scratch.
Whether it's navigating the dragon that is the EU AI Act, training and running a custom language model, or building production-ready systems, every path has its own fire-breathing challenges.
See you there!
**Line-up:**

AI & Coffee — OpenClaw, Agentic AI, and More
**⚡ AI & Coffee — OpenClaw, Agentic AI, and More**
The conversation is shifting. We are moving beyond "chatting" with AI to building **AI Agents** that can actually execute tasks on our behalf. Join us on **Wednesday, March 4th**, as we explore the rise of Agentic AI and the tools leading the charge.
We will be deconstructing the hype around **OpenClaw** (the open-source agent that recently exploded on GitHub) and discussing the broader landscape of autonomous assistants that can manage our calendars, clear our inboxes, and write code independently.
**Why are we meeting to talk about this?**
* **The Shift to Agency:** What is the difference between a "chatbot" and an "agent," and why does it change everything for productivity?
* **The OpenClaw Viral Moment:** Is the hype around this open-source "Jarvis" justified, or is it a security nightmare?
* **Agentic Frameworks:** Beyond OpenClaw, what other tools (like CrewAI, AutoGPT, or LangChain agents) are actually being used in real business settings?
* **Privacy & Control:** The trade-off between giving an AI agent full access to your files versus the convenience of total automation.
**Details:**
📅 **Wednesday, March 4**
⏰ **19:00 – 21:00**
📍 ** SixtyFour° Bar - 6 Rue du Fort Niedergruenewald, 2226, Kierchberg Luxembourg
🎟️ **Free to attend** (Drinks/food at own expense)
**Who’s welcome?**
Professionals, developers, entrepreneurs, and the simply curious. Whether you’re looking to build your own agent or just wondering how "Agentic AI" will impact your daily work, you are welcome here. No deep technical expertise is required—just an interest in where AI is headed next.
**What to expect:**
* A relaxed, open-circle discussion (no formal presentations).
* Practical insights from community members who are experimenting with agents.
* High-quality networking with Luxembourg’s AI community.
Bring your curiosity, your questions, and your perspective on the future of autonomous AI.
See you in the Grund! ☕✨

## **Quick Note on Agentic AI**
Unlike standard LLMs that wait for your next prompt, **Agentic AI** systems use "reasoning loops" to break down complex goals into smaller steps and use tools (like your browser, email, or terminal) to finish the job. This is currently the most active frontier in AI development.

Confidence in Bloom: How Creativity Builds Confidence
**Confidence in Bloom: How Creativity Builds Confidence**
What happens when creativity becomes an intentional practice?
In this month’s Confidence Lab, we’ll gather at **Petals That Inspire: The Flourish Studio** for an evening exploring the connection between creativity and confidence. How making with our hands, engaging our senses, and allowing space for expression can shift how we see ourselves and what we believe is possible.
Our featured speaker, **Amanda Lorenzetti**, owner of Petals That Inspire, will share how creativity has shaped her own confidence journey and why creative environments play such a powerful role in well-being, resilience, and personal growth. Drawing from her work leading an experience-driven floral studio and a community-centered workforce development program, Amanda will reflect on creativity as both a personal and collective catalyst.
Amanda will also guide us through a **hands-on floral design experience**, creating a fresh arrangement in a wide mouth mason jar. No prior floral experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to engage the process.
This evening is an invitation to slow down, create, and reconnect with the part of yourself that grows through care, attention, and imagination. You’ll leave with a floral arrangement to take home, and a deeper understanding of how confidence can be cultivated through creative practices.
**Featured Speaker: Amanda Lorenzetti**
Amanda Lorenzetti is the owner and founder of [Petals That Inspire](https://www.petalsthatinspire.com/) and The Flourish Studio, a social enterprise florist based in Columbus, Ohio. She brings more than a decade of experience in wedding and event sales, paired with hands-on expertise in floral and event design.
Amanda’s connection to the floral industry began early, spending time alongside her godmother, a professional florist on the East Coast.
After earning her business degree, she returned to her hometown in Connecticut to work as a floral and event designer, blending creative artistry with strong operational and client-focused skills.
In 2020, Amanda returned to the floral industry with a renewed purpose, driven by a desire to build a business rooted in creativity, community impact, and sustainability. During this pivotal time, she founded Petals That Inspire—an innovative floral concept that reimagines the traditional florist model by combining event florals, workshops, and experiential offerings with a mission-centered approach to workforce development.
Today, Petals That Inspire is a thriving social enterprise known for its thoughtful design, educational experiences, and commitment to empowering young adults facing barriers to entry in the workforce. Amanda is deeply passionate about building businesses that are both profitable and purpose-driven, and she leverages her strong business acumen to create a scalable & sustainable model that inspires creativity while giving back to the community.
**What is Confidence Lab?**
Confidence Lab is a monthly community experience for bold, thoughtful leaders building confidence from the inside out. Whether you’re launching a business, leading a team, navigating change, or simply striving to show up more fully—you belong here.
Our work demands clarity, courage, and conviction—but the pace of daily life can erode our sense of self. Confidence Lab creates space to reflect, reconnect, and grow with others doing purpose-driven work.
It’s designed for entrepreneurs, nonprofit leaders, creatives, corporate professionals, activists, and anyone ready to lead with authenticity and impact.

COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
Come assist Van Buren Shelter (https://ymcacolumbus.org/locations/vanburen) staff in serving dinners and cleaning up on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Dinner for the women is 5-6 pm and for the families is 6:15-7:15 pm. There is ample free parking available in the shelter's lot. The recommended area to park is in green in the image above.
There will be a new entrance for the time being. We are asking all volunteers to enter through the Donation Dock door, the orange mark on the image above. This door is located between the Single Adults and Family Shelter. You will see 2 large garage doors with a large green trash compactor in the center. Please head to the closest garage door to the building wall, with a ramp leading up. There, you will see a door with a sign stating instructions on how to enter the building. Please ring the doorbell, and a staff member will come and escort you into the building. If a staff member takes longer than 5 minutes, please call the front desk at 614-689-2020. This is a new process for us, and we do not want to keep you waiting! We appreciate your patience as we navigate this temporary change.
The shelter needs a volunteer count the day before the event so sign-up ends Monday at 4:50 PM. Afterwards some of us go to the Omnipresent Atheists Weekly Meetup in progress to have a bit to eat or drink (http://www.meetup.com/omnipresentatheists/).
Volunteers must be 14 or older. Since we will be working around families, the YMCA does not permit volunteering by individuals with convictions for violent or sexual crimes. The YMCA reserves the right to run background checks on volunteers.
For questions, comment on this page or contact: Andrew, awhit12@yahoo.com, (614)937-5802 (cell). Please let Andrew know if you volunteer anytime other than our COUNT events so that he can count your hours toward our service record.
