We have a new program running on Thursdays 8:00pm-9:30pm from March 26th until May 28th: Casino Rueda! Also known as Rueda de Casino, this is a Cuban salsa dance style where a group of couples form a circle and execute synchronized salsa moves under the direction of a "caller". The classes are progressive, so we'll be looking for a commitment through payment for all classes, but please come join us for your first on March 26th and decide if you'd like to stay for the rest! Each 1.5h class will cost $20, with the entire 9-class program costing $180. No prior experience of partner necessary! We are meeting at the Multifaith Centre every Friday evening from 7 pm to 9 pm in the Third Floor Quiet room, for periods of 8-fold moving exercise, sitting meditation, and walking meditation in the tradition of Chan Buddhism. Keeping Durham Region's Adult population dancing since 2013. The best way to become a better dancer is to Practice, Practice, Practice. So, don't forget to pencil us into your schedule. This is a low pressure, relaxed and friendly environment to enjoy your ballroom and line dancing and get in some practice time. To give everyone a chance to practice we play approximately 4 ballroom dances followed by 4 line dances and we continue to alternate throughout the evening.
