Speakers
Amir Feizpour is the founder of Aggregate Intellect, building a generative business brain for service and science-based companies. Amir has built and grown a global community of 5000+ AI practitioners and researchers gathered around topics in AI research, engineering, product development, and responsibility. Prior to this, Amir was an NLP Product Lead at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). Amir held a research position at the University of Oxford conducting experiments on quantum computing resulting in high profile publications and patents. Amir holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Toronto.
Cynthia Huang is a Senior Product Manager at Borealis AI, an AI research institute at RBC. Her work focuses on capital markets and generative AI initiatives. Prior to this, she has had seven years of capital market experience building out quantitative trading strategies and reinforcement learning-based execution algorithms. She holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and is working towards her PhD in Computer Science. In her spare time, she enjoys doing yoga, reading, and travelling.
Andrei Fajardo is a Founding Software Engineer at LlamaIndex, where he is primarily focused on maintaining the Python open-source framework. Andrei obtained a PhD in Statistics and Applied Probability from the University of Waterloo, and has led machine learning science & engineering teams prior to joining LlamaIndex. Andrei is also a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals and also holds their CIPT designation. Finally, Andrei is an avid runner and is currently training to run a Boston marathon qualifying time.
Jay Alammar is Director and Engineering Fellow at Cohere. In this role, he advises and educates enterprises and the developer community on using language models for practical use cases. Through his popular AI/ML blog, Jay has helped millions of researchers and engineers visually understand machine learning tools and concepts from the basic (ending up in the documentation of packages like NumPy and pandas) to the cutting-edge (Transformers, BERT, GPT-3, Stable Diffusion). Jay is also a co-creator of popular machine learning and natural language processing courses on [Deeplearning.ai](http://deeplearning.ai/) and Udacity.
