April/May Practice Session (Online only)
Details
NOTE: This is a different event from our monthly recital, and will be an online event.
PURPOSE:
-To get feedback on and discuss our performances
-Work on tricky passages/sections with each other's help
-Get more practice performing, messing up and recovering in front of other people
This event will have a small group size of 6-8 performers to allow time for performance and discussion. Audience members, please attend to give your feedback as well!
HOW IT WORKS: Each person plays a full piece OR a passage/section. After each performance, we will have a short discussion (about 10 mins) and provide supportive and constructive feedback.
** Make sure you configure "Original Sound" in Zoom (instructions here) **
HOW TO SIGN UP: Post a comment below to sign up for a slot. Please include the composer and title, and if possible, a link of the sheet music from IMSLP.org or take a picture and provide a link from Google Drive, Dropbox, Google Photos other photo hosting sites. This will help in giving you feedback.
**If you are playing a passage or section and not a full piece, please indicate the bar numbers (e.g. 1-20, 24-36, etc.)
