About us
Welcome! This meetup dedicated to all professionals involved in Cyber Security for Automated Processes and Control Systems including security for Operating Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA Systems, Transportation Systems, Building Control Systems (BCS), and even emerging Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) systems. Our purpose is to connect the professionals in the Greater Toronto area with real interest in or responsibility for the cyber security of these systems.
Once we have enough critical mass of interest in Toronto, we will gather for purposes of education, information exchange, and discovery of new opportunities and, yes, perhaps a few happy hours! If you are interested in serving on a committee to help shape this meetup experience, please contact the organizers directly.

(CS)²AI Online™ Seminar; How to Secure ICS/OT Operations with MITRE D3FEND
·OnlineOnline54 attendees from 112 groupsOver a decade ago the MITRE organization established the open, freely accessible knowledge base of adversary tactics and techniques based on real-world observations known as MITRE ATT&CK. Used widely all around the world by cybersecurity defenders
collating attacker methods, it was and is only half of the equation. MITRE D3FEND was built to fundamentally describe the assets and subsequent countermeasures vital for defense.Join us to learn how to leverage D3FEND to keep your operations up and running in the face of ongoing attacks on critical infrastructure:

(CS)²AI Online™ Seminar: Optimizing a Free OS ICS/OT Community Toolset
·OnlineOnline167 attendees from 112 groupsThe ICS Advisory Project (ICSAP), an open‑source initiative making CISA’s ICS Advisories more accessible and usable for the ICS/OT community, launched in 2022 as a free vulnerability intelligence resource.
Join us and the ICSAP founder Dan Ricci to learn how to best make use of this resource and its key components, including:
- CS Advisory Dashboards – filter advisories by vendor, product, CVE, CWE, CVSS, and more.
- CISA KEV Catalog integration – link advisories to CISA’s Known Exploited Vulnerabilities list.
- ICS Asset ID & PM Levels – map vulnerabilities to asset types and protection levels.
- CVE/CPE data – provide standardized identifiers for each vulnerability.
- Researcher Scoreboard – track vulnerability disclosures.
- NIS2 CI Sector View – show advisories relevant to high‑criticality sectors.
With over 12,000 curated advisories to date, founder Dan Ricci continues building expanding this free community offering for ICS/OT cybersecurity practitioners and critical infrastructure defenders.
Dan draws on 30 years of cybersecurity experience spanning Navy cyber operations, defense industry product security, and DOE-funded national lab research, In this discussion he will share the engineering and product decisions behind the evolution of the ICSAP, addressing how AI-augmented development is reshaping the weekly editorial workflow, what asset owners actually need from an on-premises OT vuln intel platform, and how he's keeping the free community resource healthy alongside development of a sustainable commercial offering from it.---------------------------------------------------------

(CS)²AI Online™ REPLAY Fellow Chat:Building OT Capacity for IR & Pentesting
·OnlineOnline1 attendee from 112 groupsOperational Technology (OT) environments face unique challenges when it comes to incident response (IR) and penetration testing. As cyber threats continue to evolve, organizations must strengthen their capacity to prepare, detect, and respond effectively to incidents—while also proactively testing defenses to uncover vulnerabilities before adversaries do.
Join us for this recorded seminar with CS2AI Fellows and leading experts exploring strategies, best practices, and lessons learned for building OT-specific capabilities in both IR and pentesting. Participants will gain actionable insights into:
- Tailoring IR processes for OT systems
- Overcoming common pitfalls in OT pentesting
- Strengthening team skills and capacity to meet today’s threat landscape
- Leveraging industry tools and frameworks to build resilience
This session will equip practitioners, defenders, and decision-makers with the knowledge needed to enhance security postures across critical infrastructure.
