A group focused on the application of data to solve real world problems.
We'll be holding virtual and in person meet ups to work on problems in business, healthcare, government, sports and mobility.
This group is for you if you'd like work on your analytical thinking, data engineering or analysis skills.
All skill levels are welcome from data curious to senior practitioners.

Format:
A problem and data sets will come from an industry partner to solve in 2 weeks.
Week 1:
- Project introduction from industry and technology partners
- Create pods of 4-8
- Create a project brief, gather requirements and have interviews recorded
- Design technology architecture
- Design research questions and analysis plan
- Setup data in a technology partner's infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) from provided data sets and API's for analysis
Week 2:
- Workshop analysis plan and delegate work
- Analyze data using various tools like Python, Excel, Tableau
- Gather insights and document methodology
- Create presentation to deliver to industry partner
Technology partners will be either on site or virtually to evangelize and support the implementation of their technologies
Data Loft will be providing engineering, analysis and presentation mentorship. We want to make sure everyone is learning through doing!
Feel free to join at any step of the process or work through an entire project end to end.
Sessions will be held on weekends and have a weekday office hours with the team to help move the needle.
